I wanted to add an epilogue to this video. I don't think of any of this technology will take the jobs of real vocalists. In the same way electronic music didn't kill real instrumental band music. It will likely create a new genre of music and hits will be produced. However, just like any other artform, people will value talented humans doing amazing things. Talented vocalists will always have a place.

I think the biggest thing is it will speed up the process and open doors for many producers in Pop, Hip Hop and EDM. Instead of having to create loops of the different instruments and sounds from scratch, they could be easily generated. And the other big thing is the mastering. I think the studio engineers that clean up the sound are going to be some of the first ones required to adapt in some way to this AI technology. Just as we now have AI that could clean up and upscale an image in seconds, the AI will easily be able to master and convert a decent sounding song into studio quality in seconds.

I would like to talk a little bit about synthesizer V, or as the Synthv community knows it, this software is a vocal synthesizer like VOCALOID, UTAU and CeVIO, which from its beginnings without AI integration created really good and clear voices (in fact the voice you use in this video, Eleanor forte standard, is a voice that is not classified as AI, Eleanor has an AI voice but you have to buy it). but with the integration of 100% AI voices, these voices became the most realistic they have ever been, with the ability to now sing in languages other than the voice provider's own and allow for integrated vocal modes. As for the replacement of real singers is a topic that has always been under discussion since 2004 with the launch of VOCALOID, but beyond replacing I think these synthetic voices can coexist with the voices of real singers and in fact generate new genres as is the current VOCALOID fandom and its unique songs. Finally, I would like to point out that synthesizer V demonstrates a good use of AI, because instead of stealing the work of the artists like generative AI art does and not even giving credit to these artists, synthesizer V pays the voice providers, who give full consent to use their voices in the creation of these AI voices.

Okay, so that means that it can't just replicate anyone's voice, correct? Only those who gave it strict consent to use. If that's the case then I guess it's okay, but if it ever starts to actually take from other artists or musicians or singers, that's when it starts to not become okay.

It's literally just a matter of time before you can ask Spotify to "create a new song in the style of Taylor Swift". I just subscribed! One, because you do a great job at what you do on here, but mostly because of what you've done with your website, which i will be getting right on after this and hopefully I'll have signed up in time to get your newsletter today, but im mostly excited about seeing what you've created as your website and all you've collected, because your collections and categorized input showing your favorite tools is actually priceless to anyone who's serious about creating with AI and it not only saves people an enormous amount of time finding tools, but most importantly helps people find "the right tool for them" that will help them achieve their greatest potential and that's truly an absolutely priceless resource to have available, so i really hope people appreciate what you've put together and what you continually offer them as things constantly change. I haven't even been there yet and i know i sure appreciate it. I know you said you created a favorites list and from what you said it sounded like one is actually pretty long (which is understandable) and one is short, which im assuming is because it's a spread of the top apps that one would need in order to cover all the basic aspects of creating a whole song...? Or did i get that wrong...? Having a current "Top A List" of the best apps to cover lyrics, vocals, percussion, instruments, mixing, and of course mastering, would be an amazing list to have, especially if the Top A List was updated regularly, but still continued to include all of your past Top picks as well. That would be a great Gold list to offer. Note: I have many years of song recordings on tape that literally fill 5 drawers of a large dresser and two more drawers of digital recordings of songs i still haven't done anything with since i originally wrote and recorded them and the thought of transferring it all to usable formats is absolutely overwhelming to think about and i was wondering if theres a specific AI program or even an app that can help me with transferring it all before i end up loosing some of my very best work. Any input at all would be much appreciated. 🕊

Real musical skills and talent will never be replaced by AI, and AI needs humans to emulate their real musical skills and talent. What AI can do is to help speeding up the creativity process. For instance, if a music producer doesn't have real vocals for their song yet. They can use AI to generate synth vocals and give a great idea of how their instrumental track would sound with vocals added to it, and how they wish the vocalist to sing the lyrics.

Everybody is delusional lol. This stuff is happening in the spans of months, if not weeks. Itll get there, and get there fast. People want to act like humans have a magic sparkle, because it helps them avoid the uncomfortable truth: human creativity is mostly just mixing mediums or regurgitation, and AI is much much better at that.

AI voice technologies fill me with giddy excitement and I can't wait to see how they will progress and evolve. Most development has centred around trying to get natural-sounding vocals, not that it's a bad thing, but the user-friendliness of the interface leaves a lot to be desired. Presently, lyric/note entry is a convoluted hindrance - I would like to just drag my recorded vocals into the plugin, have it parse the notes, cadence and lyrics vs having to enter it manually.

As a singer/songwriter myself, I definitely see how this will effect the music industry. There'll be OVERLOAD of songs on the market - some shit, some good, some may become hits BUT I do think that there will continue to be demand for real 'organic/analogue' singers and artists. Especially for live performances, but also for recording. The emotional nuances that a real human being can create are not going to be replaced by AI any time soon. And especially when it comes to a live performance, would you rather see a band or a live orchestra playing at a festival or a machine that produces the music out of a computer? I have started experimenting with Chat GPT to write songs and it is fun! But there's a lot of tweaking involved, so in the end I basically change most of what it writes or switch it around. In addition, I don't want to deprive myself of the creative process by outsourcing all of it to a machine. The process is part of the reason why we artists create music.

Synthesizer v is incredibly powerful, the free example is extremely limited but the paid version with solaria is very realistic and is rapidly improving. In a few years it will be difficult to tell a real vocalist from a machine generated one.

This is definitely Portal AI voice 6:10 This was a triumph I'm making a note here "Huge success" It's hard to overstate my satisfaction Aperture Science We do what we must because we can For the good of all of us Except the ones who are dead But there's no sense crying over every mistake You just keep on trying till you run out of cake And the science gets done and you make a neat gun For the people who are still alive I'm not even angry I'm being so sincere right now Even though you broke my heart And killed me And tore me to pieces And threw every piece into a fire As they burned it hurt because I was so happy for you Now, these points of data make a beautiful line And we're out of beta, we're releasing on time So I'm GLaD I got burned, think of all the things we learned For the people who are still alive Go ahead and leave me I think I'd prefer to stay inside Maybe you'll find someone else To help you Maybe Black Mesa? That was a joke, ha-ha, fat chance Anyway, this cake is great It's so delicious and moist Look at me, still talking when there's science to do When I look out there, it makes me GLaD I'm not you I've experiments to run, there is research to be done On the people who are still alive And believe me, I am still alive I'm doing science and I'm still alive I feel fantastic and I'm still alive While you're dying, I'll be still alive And when you're dead, I will be still alive Still alive Still alive

Wow! Indeed that was really a Mind Blowing video!! 😲😲😲 I was searching to find for some months now if there was such a tool to create Vocals (singing voices). And here there is now! Thank you so much for sharing this. I have a question. Using these tools you've demonstrated to us, can we upload "existing songs" and change the singer's voice from female to male? Or lets say, for example If we have one song that its original language is in English, and this famous song has been translated into another language (For example Greek), Can we use these voices to sing the specific song into other languages? Or even can we upload the singer's voice in these online tools and train it for us to sing any song with the trained voice? Like we do with the Stable diffusion were we upload images and train the Ai model to generate the style of the images we want. Can we do that with the vocals?

Literally every single day, there are 1,000's more things they're doing and the quality is advancing faster than we can keep up with. It's actually a little terrifying 😆 Great job on keeping us updated the best you can! But, right now, there's an AI being taught to create KZread vids showing us everything that's happening in the AI world, so you better up your game somehow 😆 🤣

@@kingtrance307 idk if you’ve ever been a patient or a medical professional in that situation, so this might sound more probable if you haven’t, but this is one of the things I think will never happen. Or rather, we’ll burn out and implode as a society/species before it does. Generally speaking, the patient decides if they want to keep going or tap out- if they are unable, it comes down to either an advanced directive they’ve already written, or the decision of their next of kin. Of course physicians will weigh in about possibilities and probabilities, but it’s not the kind of thing that’s an automated decision in the first place. If anything I see the biggest harm in the medical field being things like ai-assisted “summaries” of whole patient health histories, and rather than study someone’s chart providers will be lazy and read a summary created by a bot that can and will make errors and end up harming their patients due to lack of or misinformation. Which honestly is going to be the thing that harms and unalives lots of people on a great scale imo. I’m actually excited for machine learning to replace things that are mathematically calculable like med dosing etc because as someone who has been overdosed twice and under medicated more times than I can count by medical “professionals” and literal hospital doctors…human error is the scariest thing lol

Perhaps the biggest crime of all… canceling Season 5 ?

Dunno where this urge came from I have never really been big into music other then Listening to it on the radio when driving or something. Tried to learn guitar a few times in the past never got far. Now Im 1 1/2 years in playing working on G'n'R's Don't cry. (Slashes part and solo) I now know why I've had this feeling. No music will ever compare to what a human being can create. A.I. I really love how much AI will empower solo creators, especially when it comes to game development. As someone who's always been a jack of all trades [music, gfx, programming, video editing, 3d modelling] it was still a large undertaking and now for people such as myself who already have some background in all of these things the ability to use AI to speed up the more mundane and repetitive tasks involved with them is great. Now people can simply know what they need for their project and be able to get it done by themselves.

I can clearly see making those "cool" sound effects in a so-called rhythmic tone with my mouth and have an A.I. model interpret what it hears and turn those sounds into actual music.
