Great video! A lot of people are posting Midjourney tutorials and guides right now, but I found this was one of the best for beginners. No drivel, just the important facts, good links and crediting other people properly. Kudos!

Thanks so much!
I tried your exact same ChatGPT Prompt "Write an image prompt for generative art to create a colorful, stylistic wolf" and ChatGPT provided a very long reply and was not something I could use for Midjourney. So much change in 6 months since you made this video. Learned a lot from you. Thank you
I learned about Mid-journey from your channel. Creating mages for my shorts and content with Mid-journey is so fun. I am so grateful to learn from you. I am now subscribed.
Thank you so much! I have been trying to figure Midjourney out what seems like forever. I really appreciate how you explained things to us newbies.
Thank You so much for including the actual prompts so us newbies can get started!
Today, I am starting my education about MidJourney (I am not even subscribed yet!). This video has taught me so much about the process, and I can't wait to jump in. Your tips and directives are priceless. Thank you!
i like to the use the main chatroom so i can see others as i wait for mine and get inspiration. At first it was frustrating scrolling up to find mine. But I learned in the main chat there is a button in the upper right corner next to the search box called inbox. and it sends all your creations there, which is like a private box in the main chat. which is SUPER useful.

Idiscovered Midjourney today and searched on YT and this video came up. Thank you so much!
Best everr Midjourney tutorial I've seen. Thanks a ton for this video and additional resources you shared. Will surely give these a try.
Super video Matt...I could go on and on, but Cliff Notes version for me, it took 4+ hours to go through the entire video because of the ideas that came to me as I watched. Super helpful. I owe you a beer....ok, several.
Been using it for months now, made my thumbnails with it. It’s very difficult to get exactly what you want, so this is very helpful. Thanks!
@mreflow Matt, this old video at 14:30 made me create amazing art deco posters variations in the style of Charlie Harper, Jean Dunand, Edward Mason Eggleston and French illustrator Georges Lepape. From robots and grand prix cars to our two cats in tuxedos drinking wine. Great images for posters and other projects we have in mind after a few retouches in Photoshop Beta. Thanks Professor Wolfe for sharing and teaching new tricks and prompts for us, retired seniors catching up with the digital era and learning AI in 2023, to elaborate upon.
OMG!!!! What a fantastic video you have made!!! Very educational and mind blowing what can be done! Thank you so much! I have subscribed to your channel! Thank you! BLESS! 🙏
3 weeks since playing with and still as blown away as day one, GRT vid!

I know, right! Blows me away every time.
Thanks so much for this tutorial, Matt! I've been trying to design cartoon backgrounds for my animations. I'm trying to figure out codes/ways to prompt Midjourney for certain perspectives of a room (for instance, Midjourney often shows me overhead views when I'm looking for straight on, eye level view). I'm also wondering if there are good prompts for Midjourney to share multiple walls of the same building space so they all work together congruently in the animation. So far I've been struggling to find the right words in midjourney to make this happen. Thanks for your help!
Extremely wonderful, no words can express my gratitude and appreciation, great done.
Amazing video! Having a great deal of fun with the prompts you talked about, thanks for the tips.
I've been using midjourney for a while. ALL this was incredibly useful, absolutely stunning.
I often take alot of what I make then put it back through the bot as a reference and get some really unique art that I've had alot of people like! Lithographic is a prompt I use and I never see anyone else use it.

Great prompt idea. I'll definitely play around with that one too! Thanks. :)
Hi Matt! I've been using DeepDreamGenerator because I found Midjourney too confusing with its distracting interface. This is the first video I've seen that really explains things in detail and I love how you show us exactly what to do. Absolutely love these images and want to give it a try myself. BTW, I'm a San Diegan too! Grew up there but living in TN now. I'm going to have to spend some time watching more of your videos! Thanks so much!!!

Fantastic tutorial! One of the best I’ve seen on Midjourney! Thanks!
Your videos are so on point! Saw 2 of them by now and I'll watch some more :)
Thanks for the video Matt:) I learned many things related to midjourney and started my Print On Demand Business in Redbubble using midjourney and Documenting everything about my Print On Demand journey in my channel.
Excellent tutorial, thank you. I learned a lot. ChatGPT is everywhere, refuses to be left out in any conversation 😂
Overall, I highly recommend this video to anyone looking to improve their prompting techniques and make meaningful progress on their mid-journey.
Thank you so much! I appreciate all the information you shared in this one video! New subscriber!!!! 😊👍
here is a good one, use this at the end of your prompt "engraving style, drawing ". It will fit perfect with your wolf theme ;) You are welcome.

You are a grrrrreat Wolfe! Great video. In my renderings, I find MJ has a tendency to center all subjects right in the center/upper center of images, which is very frustrating. And I have tried all kinds of tricks to move main subjects off center, but they only work 5% of the time. Have you found a way to place the main subject in a certain area of the image, like you would in a camera viewer, say using the rule of thirds? When/If you ever find a way, will you please share making a video on how to specifically move the subject to a place on the image? It is very frustrating to keep throwing prompts at MidJourney's algorithmwall and hope it will stick somewhere and watch the blurry image turn into into 4 more images with subjects in the center. Thank you.
Damn! Never knew about that seed trick. Great tips man!
Really useful and appreciated, though would have liked to have a brief explanation on how the prompting is understood so that we know how to type the prompts. For example, do we speak like a human, do we shorten certain things, how are commas interpreted, what do 2 colons do, how to separate subjects in words so they're not merged together visually, etc.

Thanks so much for this vid! I’ve recently created some prompts I’m extremely proud of!🙏
I'm 2:00 minutes in and this tutorial is already better than the other Midjourney Tutorials that I've seen.
Amazingly well done video. Perfect info for getting started quickly. Thanks!
Question: when you apply the --s or --q settings on an image does that apply to the upscales as well? I notice when i upscale there are still some slight changes in the image
@michael_
Жыл бұрын
Upscale recreates the image at a higher resolution. It does not consider modifiers to the prompt such as --s or --q, only the image itself. It will be different than the original as all upscalers and upscale models literally add pixels to an image. If you use Beta or Light Upscale, it will be closer to the original image in the grid, but will likely have other types of artifacts. To get the best upscale results, specific models trained on the type of image you're upscaling are needed. MidJourney doesn't seem to use that in the background though, at least not yet. You can take an image and find an upscaler that has model options online if it's necessary.
Thanks! I didn’t know about the upscale redo options.
Great video, took a ton of value from this, thank you for taking the time
Thanks for the tips dude! The Wolf in the spacesuit reminded me of Starfox.
Thanks Matt! This was a great video! I am just getting started and this was really helpful! thank you!
Thanks for your video, great information. I noticed that you didn't select "Stealth mode" under settings. Does it not return the same results under that mode? I just upgraded as every image I was generating seemed to be "stolen" by other people in the chat. I've set up my own server and added the Midjourney bot. Thanks for any advice
Dude. WOLFS ARE EVERYTHING TO ME. AND SEEING WOLF 🐺 JUST MADE ME STAY AND WATCH ALL THIS! 🖤🖤🖤
First of all, thank you for the valuable educational material you provide. I have tried to produce a picture of these various animals (bear, wolf, lion, elephant, owl) , such as together in the forest, but every time they give strange animals that are not real, what commands can I give so that it gives me a collection of different types of animals in one picture without a problem Please Help
Excellent tutorial! Subscribed!
I am just getting started with AI art. Great video Matt! Packed end to end with useful tools. Thank you
Thank you Wolfman for helping me figure out how to get to a private session on mid journey. Your video is very helpful. Quick question, can you upload a photograph or your own picture to midJourney?
Thank you so much for this video. I have learned so much from it! 😊
I really enjoyed your video and found out lots of useful information and also get inspired , thank you so much for this 🤝🤝
Hi thx so much very useful information. Can you somehow use your own image incorporated in this in any way? Or it’s just creating images from what you ask? Thx 🎉
Hello. Do you know for a good AI tool which works in the opposite direction - 'image to text'? Let's say I want to create an image which would be similar to an existing one, but I am not sure how to describe the image in the best way so that the AI software can understand what I want to recreate...
I'm having issues with for example if I put specific animals in there description, if it's more than one like a giraffe and hippo. It starts molding them together and I can rarely get a decent pictures with both animals clear. Any suggestions on that?
Awesome, got tons of info from this video! Thank you

Love this video Matt super helpful! Do you have any prompts or tricks to create realistic photos especially for lifestyle product images? :D
Ty very much for this. Great content and very helpful

Hello, thanks for the video. Its possible to upload an image and clone it and start getting variations from the original one without touch the structure?
Messaging the robot one on one was the missing trick for me! As I am always doing multiple things at a time, searching form my images or upscale was really putting me off. I did simply not know that! Thanks a bunch!

No messaging the bot does not work for free trials .
As far as I know. If you change any word of the prompt, Or the aspect Ratio . The seed doesn't mean anything and you will not receive a similar image
Thanks for this great video, I cannot change my settings. It keeps giving me a message view and adjust your personal settings, but does not show the menu you have shown. Only when I add command behind it a similar field opens but not with all the options. Would you know the reason why?
Version 5 does not seem to have the icon to generate the “seed” that or it is covered up by a popup menu “smiley face, reply, create thread and more. How to find seed in version 5?
Great video, nice headshot 😏 thanks for all the info & prompts ❤
Another great tutorial? Question: Do the settings like Remix Mode onlyu come with a paid version of MidJourney? I can't find them in my free trial version. Thanks.
is it possible to get accurate writings on an image? for example i type: (Hello) then in the image i find the letters all messed up like (lloeH)
Very informative video on midjourney prompts. When i use midjourney, sometimes i gets cropped images, which is very frustrating. What might be the prompt to create full body, uncropped images in midjourney.. Please help with that..
For sure the best tuto i have seen so far!! Thank you!!!
Thanks for sharing this valuable tutorial. It's awesome!
Question. Great video. Very informative. My reference picture doesn't match the midjounrey generated image. The images are way off. No where near being close. How can I fix that?
What a great video Matt! Thank you so much :)
Great video! thanks for sharing, this was super useful!
Thank you. This is very good. Much appreciated!
I like your teaching style. Any recommendations on repeated character images in different poses, expressions and then video? I want a mascot like Be Amazed youtube channel that runs into the shot amazed lol. Im guessing they just remove background the overlay resize it during production but it looks really good. What is that called or are they just inventors?
Thank you Matt, great video. I would like to know where did you get the URL of your picture? Thank you again!
Great video. Very helpful. I got a message saying I couldn't DM anything (use a slash) since I'm not a paid member. I really wanted to try it first. After I got rejected by the bot, I went into the newbie section. I couldn't make anything there either. They want to make me pay first.
Are there any significant advantages/disadvantages to using midjourney vs stability diffusion photoshop plugin? Are there additional functionality through discord?
learned a few things i didn't know before. Thanks!!
Thank you so much. How would you prompt to make an uploaded image look similar to New School art similar to what’s used for tattoos?
Hey Matt, thank you for this insightful video. Do you have any advice on how I should better specify imagery in prompts regarding specific locations in the world? Example: I asked it to create an image of Table Mountain located in Cape Town, South Africa. Midjourney only creates images of random mountainscapes, and not of the actual, physical landmark, like your Yosemite Park image, for example. Many thanks!
@alessandrocordano3384

Maybe you can send it a like of the actual table mountain and then add further prompt
Great overview of ideas with clarity. Cheers
Thanks for the great guide. A couple of points about settings. You need to type /settings with a space after it before hitting enter. I missed out the space and the settings box did not come up. In the settings box, MJ version 4 is now selected as default. That must have changed in the last couple of weeks since you uploaded the video.

Awesome guide man, thank you
When I tried to put an image in from my computer I was not able to copy the link. Mine only says "Copy message link" Not "copy link". Curious if anyone knows how to fix this.
Quick Q: Am I able to input my original portrait generating an alternative image? How might you do this in the most effective way?
Well signed up and bot wouldn’t let me try it out said pay for subscription or try again tomorrow.. not a good first impression.
The envelope seed thing isn’t working. And I don’t have the beta upscale redo or the remaster button, is that just gone or is that a premium thing? I have the lowest level of premium.
I like the way you don't do too much extra talking in your tutorial. Thanks!
Great fun watching now to try
Cool video. I have a question if you answer them......when I type /settings, as you demonstrate, nothing shows up. ANy ideas why?
I’m so glad I found you!! Thank you 🙏 🎉
