I was vegetarian for about 15 years. And not happy with it, but had absolutely no idea how to change. Seemed way to difficult etcetera... But, once you have looked behind the curtains, you can no longer ignore what you have seen!! I saw the speech of Philip and boom, it hit me, in a split second I switched the button and discovered it was not difficult at all! Never regret that day!

agree . my favorite word i found it by searching veganism and it lead me to jains wich lead me to Ahimsa. im a non jain vegan that love word ahimsa now

The word Ahimsa in modern day understanding is first found in Chhandogya Upanishad(Upanishad of Samaveda). It is one of the four foots of Dharma. While it is the most important tenet in Jainism as well as Buddhism Nd Hinduism. Basically all Indian religions. Anrishamshaya(Absence of Cruelty/Compassion) is another Sanskrit concept of equal footing. When these values are cherished and followed by a Human being then he becomes Sattvic in nature, a perfect role model to be followed.
