i have both helmet, i think i like the shoei a bit more. the vent and the comfort are way better than the agv and it cost way way more. in indonesia the pista cost twice compared to the shoei. a bit pissed that i grab the agv but now i have both helmet haha. the only thing bother me from the shoei is the wind noise. its louder than any helmet that i owned (rx7x, pista gpr, corsa r, rpha 11, x802rr, ls2 arrow). the wind noise quite annoying when the first time i used it but now its not bother me as much but still quite annoying to hear that much of wind noise

It sounded strange to me too. Looked it up and in the US it is called AIM+ system (hi performance fiber materials combined with extremely elastic organic fibers into the shell construction for a structure that is ultra lightweight, rigid, and resilient).

It's made from multiple materials carbon fiber being one of them which they call organic fibre for some reason.

What petrol do u use in your s1000rr will putting normal speed petrol affects engine in longer run

Extra Premium only. If normal petrol, I use few drops of octane booster.

The fact that the spoiler can break off easier makes it safer

lol pista gpr is for track purpose so the visor is like that you have to keep it locked and agv has enough ventilation too idk about shoei though but agv is designed by rossi himself and is 🔥

You need to make the engine have one single type of drink. Either regular petrol for lifetime or extra premium for lifetime.

For touring, Shoei GT-AIR or SchuberthM5

1. WRONG! AGV is 100% carbon fiber, Shoei is not. 2. AGV-The AGV has no locking mechanism on the shield because is a RACE helmet. During race you keep it close, and open at the pits, it was not meant for street riding. The front small clip is to keep it slightly open bit and still keep it secure. Shoei will open during high speed.....not save. 3. Again AVG is a Race helmet, the less vents, less drag! you still need some vents. Enough to keep you cool, but not to create drag on your head, helmet. 4. The rear wing, spoiler, is to keep the helmet down, low less drag. The Shoei has all the side wings, gear spoiler, and top vent, This is dangerous. When you crash all the extra protruding parts can hurt or damage you neck. When you crash and roll and you have all those extra parts like the shoei helmet, this will stop or avoid the roll of the head, and body. If you see the AGV, the rear spoiler, is only attached with 3 small screws, for easy brake-cage during the crash, this will avoid injury and will stop neck injury ( that is why ARAI helmet is the safety helmet on the market, is complete round, and few, less protruding vents, wins, etc) I'm not saying that one helmet is better than the other, I'm just pointing out that AGV is make for the track, not street, Shoei can be used for both, street and track.

K3 has sunvisor. K1 just front lid , k1 is newer entry level helmet. Much better than buying k3. Get k1 and call it a day.

Guys AGV IS FOR TRACK (that’s why it’s called AGV PISTA GP R) and it’s Made out 100% of Carbon. Shoei it’s not One of the best helmet for tracks, cause of the spoiler that can cause neck injury... and it’s not Made out of Carbon...(that why agv cost something like 1200 €)... this video is so wrong

You can close the vents if its raining. Also you may clean and dry them off once done.

FYI, SHOEI X14 is not 100% carbo fiber not even 20%... Please go through the company.

Shoei fanboy much? 1)The lack of detents on the AGV was done by design, when do you foresee yourself on a track riding at speed with a half open visor? so the moment you get up past 90kph it closes on it's own, and yes, they're both TRACK helmets. 2) Stability, not sure what you call "at speed", but coming off a track straight at near 300kph the AGV is arrow stable 3) Ventilation, It's not about the number of vents, which you forgot to mention the center brow vent on the AGV, it's about liters of air moved thru the lid, maybe compare those 4) Weight, The X14 is NOT carbon fiber, has never been made of Carbon Fiber, research your product before making an ignorant opinion 5) Noise, see Track helmet, opening the AGV Box one the first things you find is a pair of earplugs, the message from AGV? ... It's a track helmet it's gonna be loud, put these on.

Agree with all points especially with stability.the agv is stableeven with head checks at highe speeds. The shoei is only good on straight speeds but youfeel it catch more wind on head checks

May be personal choice ? I have already spent last 5 years riding with my agv pistagp and I have done touring on my rsv4 and s1000rr both with this Helmet too :)

Shoei beats AGV hands down..you only buy AGV helmet because of Valentino Rossi. This is only my opinion

The PistaGP-R are made in Italy. Of course, the low end models are manufactured in china to keep the pricing low, same as iPhone or a DJI drone, etc. Only the PistaGP-R series are manufactured in Italy, and thus the premium price tag.

I have used the rode over 7000 miles with PistaGP already in last 5 years. There is no way, any other helmet can match its build.
