It seems like Yoongi has some painful memories from being hurt by others, and made him reflected a lot on human relationships. A prime example is the narrative shared in his song 'Dear my friend', which reveals his experiences with his friend. When Suga was just 20 and already dealing with a lot, his only friend fell into drugs, ended up in prison, and even after Suga waited for years and went to welcome him upon his release, his friend had turned into a monster who tried to drag Suga into drugs as well. Suga cursed at him and cut ties but even after years passed, he couldn't forget his friend and ended up writing this song. It seems like these kind of experiences made him reflect a lot on human relationships, and Suga talks about his sincere thoughts about relationships in People pt.2

"People" is a song to talk about the relationship among people. People will come and go. Everyone will change. And we do not need to envy others.
