Not all the members have "diss tracks" or a song like this and joke bc each of their stories is different. You have to understand that both RM and Suga had been writting lyrics and producing their own music long before they joined BTS, so when they debuted as BTS they already had experience with it, that's not the same story of all the members. J-Hope was a dancer and became a rapper when he became a BTS trainee, as he puts it "when I joined, all the members (RM and Suga) were rappers, I was the only dancer, so I felt a bit disconected. But I couldn't just sit around and do nothing, so I started to learn from them, they would always do free style battles in the dorm and I started to join in too", so while RM and Suga already had a ton of experience making their own stuff, J-Hope had just started to learn. And that reflects itself well on the timing that each rapper came out with their first solo mixtape: RM (2015), Suga (2016), JHope (2018). The other 4 members are vocalists, and even tough jungkook raps in some of the earlier BTS songs, none of them have a "mixtape" with diss tracks like this. This year Jimin released his first album "Face". And V's album "Layover" is gonna release on the 8th. Jin didn't really have time to release a big project but he wroked with coldplay on his song "Astronaut" as a goodbye to army bf he left for his military service. Jungkook has plans to release a mini album by November this year. All of that is also due to the fact that despite all of them being free to explore their solo careers, all of them have BTS as their priority. So there are a lot of solo songs by each member WITHIN their BTS albums. All the vocalist also contribute with composing melodies for songs. Here are SOME of their credits: Jin: Awake (solo song within BTS album) - author/composer Jimin: Lie (solo song within BTS album) - author/composer Friends (duo with V within BTS album) - author/composer/producer V: 4 o'clock (duo with RM) - author/composer/producer JK: Magic shop (BTS song) - author/composer/producer Film out - composer

While I agree that the vocalists don’t have “diss tracks”, rapper style, they do have their own songs speaking about and to themselves, their challenges, and insecurities. Your list is a case in point: “diss-tracks” don’t have to be “on your face”, poetic elements can be “diss” as well, when resplying to pressures society places on you. I’m an og hip hop fan; let’s not undermine the vocal line “diss-tracks” just because they aren’t aggressively rapping

I think that when J-hope joined BTS there may have been a couple of the other rappers still around, as well as RM and Suga. Probably Iron and Supreme Boi would have also taken part in those battles. No wonder he felt he needed to learn to rap well.

If you want to know more of the rapline’s diss tracks you need to check out Cypher 1-4. If you’re up for it, i feel like you’ll appreciate it more if you listen to it back-to-back-to-back.. you’ll be able to see how they have grown as artists and how good they got.. there’s no MV for those 4 so you might want to check a lyric video from JVJ_95z and then check out the Cypher Medley from Enjoy BTS More. it’ll be a bit long but it is worth it.. loving your reactions and excited for you Taylor guide, vocal line and the whole BTS reactions.. 💜

If you want to see how their rapping styles and level of angst (hehe) evolved, this is the best way! There are other rapline songs like Daeng, Ugh and Tear (they wrote Tear when they were contemplating on disbanding so it hits differently). I'm sure Army will love it if you do the Cyphers and the Live performance in one sitting, don't mind long reactions ;D

INFO: The BTS rap boys bonded even moreso after being called sell outs and girls from an interview. They felt the highs and lows together because they had similar backgrounds and felt insulted by that. Hence why Joke was released and AgustD was as well. But they are both very different, RM is an intellectual so he can play with flows and pace, Suga is more emotional and as he said in his lyrics he has tongue technology, he can spit fire fast paced with words. So can RM but Suga is more dirty and gritty for lack of a better word with his lyrics. So this was there response to all haters. Another song of RM's around this time was also "Do you". Not sure it has english lyrics on the music video thou. But you pick up the hints from the music video...

You are right! This is about 3 years into their careers and RM and Suga in particular had been taking non stop flack from the underground rap scene etc. AgustD as a producer makes some intense and filthy beats, his ad libs absolutely make the song for me. It’s too subtle to really catch but RM and JHope do a few of the adlibs in the background too, always supporting each other. Also he’ll read you fro filth in his raps so don’t piss him off. I like the visual symbolism of him being tied up by the hate he’s received and then when he cuts himself free is when he really tears off in the machine gun rap. There is a follow up MV to this MV a mini song of 2 min “Give It To Me”. He’s still in this trailer. Also the angry blonde AgustD here is who evolves into the blonde corrupt angry king in Daechwita he then has to fight against. Also calling guys like BTS a sellout when they were more constantly calling out society, corruption, and diving into complex topics. All 7 members have different styles but only the rappers do diss tracks. Early JHope goes between hope filled songs like POP (piece of peace) and harder songs like Hangsang. The vocal line solos will take you by surprise but are not so intense. Jungkook: Seven (one of the biggest pop hits in the world of the year) Jimin: Set me Free pt2 V: Singularity Jin: the Astronaut (with Coldplay this is his good bye song for Army before he left for his military service) As an aside Suga/AgustD takes being a Samsung ambassador so seriously it’s hilarious, he even composed an original official Samsung ringtone and a full song to go with it Over the Horizon it’s sooooo good for an instrumental with a full MV.

Don't take some ARMYs comment in a wrong way. We have experienced so many things as ARMY. You are just starting so obviously you wouldn't get why ARMY react in a certain way for certain things. But sometimes it is to show our stance as a fandom. Our fandom don't encourage stalking and just favouring one member or put them against each other. The other old fandoms celebrated these kind of things but ARMY is different. We call out stalkers. We respect BTS privacy and want them to be free to enjoy normal life. There is a video eassay by BORACITY MAGAZINE about our fandom. You must check it out. You need to learn about BTS history and ARMY history. It'll help you understand BTS songs as well. We can see you guys are genuine with your reactions. I just want to say don't take those comments in a very negative way. If they were very rude,I apologize on their behalf. But take that as to understand our fandom and how protective we are of BTS. BTS has gone through so much sh*t (still too). So, it's kind of necessary for us to show our stance to people. Wish you a great time in Bangtan World.💜🤗

"Snapshots of their lives" is absolutely true for most of the songs in their discography, as a group and as soloists. They have several diss tracks, mostly by the rapline, as a unit and as soloists. And yes, you can see their growth through these, from aggressive songs of their early days, to the more playful "Ddaeng", to a mix with social commentary about anger in "Ugh". They've mentioned that it's been getting harder to write diss tracks because they're not angry anymore. They don't really care about their haters anymore. (Btw, the group has one diss track called "Mic Drop"). While their entire group discography reflects their lives, I think the snapshots are clearer in solo songs because the lyrics can get more personal and specific. RM and Suga went through a similar life journey. In their first mixtapes, "RM" (2015) and "Agust D" (2016), they were angry and ambitious with a lot to prove. Their second mixtapes "mono" (2018) and "D-2" (2020)", there were a lot of soul-searching (e.g. "forever rain"). Their debut albums, "indigo" (2022) and "D-Day" (2023), show how they're now at peace with themselves. J-hope has brighter songs in his mixtape "Hope World" (2018), in line with his cheerful persona. In his debut album "Jack in the Box" (2022), he shows his darker thoughts, including "Arson". Among the vocal line, Jimin released his debut album "Face" last March, talking about his emotional journey during the pandemic. The title track is "Like Crazy". V is releasing his debut album this Friday, called "Layover", an R&B album. Please react to his title track "Slow Dancing" that will come out at the same time. Jin and Jungkook debuted with singles instead of albums, "The Astronaut" (2022) and "Seven" (2023). "Seven" is killing it at the charts right now and breaking records.

(None of them have music videos, so you'll have to search lyric videos, avoid the channel Jaeguchi and Lemoring at all costs, the channel AF TAEHYUNG is a good channel for translations). Here: Actually, I recommend you do all their solos from the Wings album because they're all really personal and are quite beautiful. So I'll put all of them, even though these are not the first official BTS solos for the rappers. RM - Reflection Jin - Awake Suga - First Love (cried a lot the first time I heard it) J-Hope - MAMA Jimin - Lie V - Stigma Jungkook - Begin The order in the album is like this though: Begin Lie Stigma First Love Reflection MAMA Awake

RM and Suga came from the underground rap scene before they signed with Big Hit. At 14-16 years old they were already making a name for themselves rapping, writing and in Suga/Agust D's case, producing, though he was often getting ripped off for music he made for others. Grown adults were afraid to rap battle them because they were getting their asses handed to them by these kids, which was embarrassing. When they signed with Big Hit basically all their old friends from the underground not only abandoned them, but attacked and slandered them for forming an Idol group. So they are the two that do the diss tracks to other rappers. Some rappers were taking shots at them in music, as well as in various medias (print, radio interviews, etc) They were also taking hate from the Idol industry as not fitting in for both their heavy Hip Hop sound and their heavy socio-political and psychological messaging of substance. Basically, they were taking it from all sides and had almost no friends in the industry. But the diss rap tracks were specifically for the underground scene that mistreated them so badly after they signed with Big Hit. By the way, some of those same a**holes also tried out for labels, including Big Hit, but just didn't get signed. Suga says he tends not to direct his disses at anyone in particular, but that they are booby traps. So if someone takes offense, then it was for them. Basically if they see themselves in his lyrics than they are the kind of a**holes he is talking to. LOL There is one exception in a Cypher when he mentioned "go back to Hawaii." That was for one guy from Hawaii that really had it coming.

I am more into melodic rap style which is why J-Hope is my rap bias. In the beginning, both RM and SUGA were more hard hitting with their first mixtapes compared to Hobi. You'll realize the difference when you listen to Hobi's mixtape Hope World. All three of the Rap line are great rappers in their own respective styles and ways. I love when RM and SUGA make melodic rap songs and SUGA's song SDL from his recent album is one of my favorites from him. All three are very versatile with their music that they make you wonder what they'll bring next to the table to surprise us and so far, it has always been a treat!

Understand that Outro: Tear was written when the boys where thinking about disbanding in 2018. They had exploded World wide and were overwhelmed with the huge burst of fame and the accompanying increase of demands. It seems the group reacting to what Suga wrote (and then RM and J Hope added to) connected them even more. But the end with J Hope, you see the emotion on his face as he finishes the song. He killed it. Maybe my favorite performance by him. (Favorite dance maybe is ‘Boy Meets Evil’)

About the snippet of life discourse, for THE VOCAL LINE I really think they spoke their truth a lot in their first SOLOS in the Wings album (those aren't their official solos, as the tracks are under the bts name in an album of the group, but those were kind of the first songs we got from them where they own an official track ). To give an idea: -Jin's AWAKE. Jin has truly an absurd story of getting casted because he never intended on being a singer like this and he had to learn after he got in the label, so his path to being a singer is something he struggled for and we cherish his hard working attitude. He probably had to work twice as hard as any trainee, he was gonna be an actor and found himself in a hip pop group, crazy. He really worked on his skills, everything. He grew to love his job so much, now he is in the military and tells the members how much he misses performing. Awake to me is an oath, also a testament. He was on his path, a uni student, then had such a raw awakening, it was fate, he became bts. This fits his style pretty well, he pretty much loves singing this genre and he kills it everytime (just for him I'll mention other tracks like Epiphany, such a legendary iconic track for bts's love yourself themed trilogy, and the one written by one of his friends, Chris from Coldplay, Astronaut) -Jimin's LIE. Jimin is known to be such a perfectionist. He is extremely hard working as much as he is hard on himself. He was a dancer before joining bts (contemporary, so it kinda makes sense he developed the kind of discipline he has), but he had to adjust his style to the early bts hip pop one and he had to practice a lot to meet his own standards. He always had an hard time with his singing and whatever insecurities he developed he brought with himself for a long time. I think you could se LIe as either his battle with these inner voices that kept on telling him lies about how he was not fit for bts or not enough, or also kind of an imposter syndrome thing where he felt like whatever he brought to the table was lies, lies about who he was, about what he could do, a mask he put on to be confident, but feeling inside like he was tricking everyone because he didn't deserve to be in that spot. -V (taehyung)'s STIGMA- now...this track is a hard one because no one really knows what it means. Even RM who helped him in writing hasn't been able to tell us what v wanted to say specifically. It's about something he did, something he feels extremely sorry about, a mistake he wishes he didn't do, but can't take it back. Honestly the track is pretty clear in message, but the event that made it is unknown. EIther way this track is an incredible one to see which genre our V gravitiates towards, what sound he loves listening to and also his vocal range. To me this track was about unraveling things, as it also gave us a shock. V was such a kid, a happy, cheerful cute member, who apparently kept this kind of feeling inside and he found his way to express how much of a duality he really is. he has the deepest voice in bts but here he reaches notes that were such a pleasant surprise. -Jungkook's BEGIN- damn it is simple but effective. Kook was such a kid when he joined the label and the group. he debuted when he was a minor and he grew up with the members. He said multiple time he thinks he is a mix of everyone's character coming together. He is incredibly talented, versatile, he worked hard and gave everything to his dream, maybe too much when he was a kid who didn't even know himself well yet. He developed such a gret bond with the members (they all consider themselves each other's family), he depended on them but never wanted to weight on them. He found himself caring so much for them that he started feeling more thanks to them, he felt more sad for them than himself, they thought him a shit ton, not only in terms of skills, but mindset, ways of living as a good person, even feelings. He joined bts a kid, a shell, ready to become someone, a man and now he is jungkook, just a great fucking person.

I was lucky enough to have seen him perform this live in Chicago this past May. His rap skills and performance was absolutely insane! The sold out concert from start to finish was amazing. Everything was well thought out and planned, from the song selections and the changing of the stage (where the stage was piece by piece being lifted off the ground throughout the concert, until it was just him on the floor at the level with the audience) it was all a masterpiece. I wish i could describe the insane energy of the crowd, it was an absolute great time and one of the best concerts I've ever been to!

He has a song in BTS album about how he struggle having that "fame". Please checkout "Shadow". The rap line has solo songs in their album "Map of the Soul: 7" RM: "Intro: Persona" SUGA: "Interlude: Shadow" Jhope: "Outro: Ego" In this song, Jhope's is more on dance-y type rap in Ego. They all have MVs. In their album "Love Yourself: Answer", the rap line also have solo songs where they called trivia. Starts from Jhope then RM then SUGA. These three songs is about the cycle of love. From falling in love to falling apart. Jhope: Tivia: Just Dance RM: Trivia: Love SUGA: Trivia:Seesaw There is no MV, so you can checkout their live performance or maybe a lyric video.

08:08 All of them write in a way from experience, so yeah, they talk about themselves always. Related to the industry specifically: rapline you got the songs you already saw and others: RM - Voice, Awakening, Joke, Do You, Wildflower, All Day, Yun... AgustD, SUGA - AgustD + Give it To Me (MVs go kinda together), and all you've seen, Polar Night, Life Goes On (AgustD one!!), D-Day, Huh? (ft J-hope xD)... J-Hope - Airplane, Daydream, More, Arson, Future, What If... Vocal line, they are not so industry specific but still talk about themselves: Jimin - Set Me Free pt 2! As BTS you have Lie and Filter. JK - Seven is a way of him saying "I'm a effing grown up and I sing whatever I want", as BTS you have Begin, My Time and Euphoria about the fans (supposedly) Jin - Abyss is a song about inner turmoil, Super Tuna (XD) is about his passion, The Astronaut is about how he feels about his path and how much he loves us (ARMY) ^^U but neither goes "hard" if that's what you ask, as BTS his song Awake tells you all about him (how he feels about him the group and the other 6), and Moon (again the fans in mind) V (Tae) - So far he mostly creates love stories (not necessarily romantic love!) in his solo songs. As part of BTS you have Stigma and Inner Child (and Singularity, but this one has to do with the theme of the album)

Thank you for your reaction! As far as older diss tracks, RM and Suga were really the only ones to have diss tracks like this solo wise from earlier years. They do have Cyphers 1-4 for the rapline, which are diss tracks from Jhope, Suga, and RM. Jhope's first mixtape didn't have any diss tracks (not that I can think of right now). There are also some group songs like Mic Drop, and a few others but I'm drawing a blank right now. Then there are some group songs that talk about their struggles like Louder Than Bombs and a few more. Vocal diss track would probably be Set Me Free Pt.2 by Jimin, which both is and isn't a diss track I guess? Lol. The vocal line don't really call out stuff like that tbh, mainly RM and Suga do (at least in songs). Anyways, there is SO MUCH to dive in to, and I am excited for your journey!! If ypu have time, I HIGHLY recommend Snooze by Agust D. You can see his duality and it is such a beautiful song. He wrote it for his juniors in the music industry but it speaks to everyone. It makes me cry every time I hear it. Highly recommend it!💜

SUGGESTIONS: Not sure if you will read this but here goes. Army follows what the reactors are after, you mentioned rap, so our suggestions will be directed that way. We have found Filmographers, and videographers on reactor channels as well as dancers, they target a specific type from BTS. The rap was easy as there is group BTS rap and there solo projects they fit in around group work. For the group rap there is alot to choose from, but the original rap line would be the cypher series, part 1, part 2, part 3 and part 4. For group music you will have to let us know what you want. As BTS have so many genre's of music and so many songs that have catchy hooks we love all their music so its like as you say "choosing a favourite child" its difficult and something alot of us wont do as we love all their works. But if you direct us to YOUR interests we can guide you further....

All seven are really important, this is of kind of a two faces coin. First is the creatives who compose the music, write the lyrics of the songs and that's the rap line. The way they function is they submit their work to BigHit dept of production where you have Bang PD (the boss) and other writers, producers etc who work in collab with the guys. It's a go between until something come out of it. When you look at the song credits, you sometimes have eight to ten people credited on a song but most songs have the 3 rappers imprints on them. The second side of the coin is the performance aspect where the vocal/dance lines are front stage and to a certain degree they carry the show. Most songs are vocal heavy so Jungkook, V, Jimin and Jin are predominant. There is also a lot of choreographies therefore J-hope, Jimin, Jungkook and V who are the dance lines are often more at the front having better skills. Of course all 7 dance very well and they all dance the exact same choreography on stage but 2 of the members, J-hope and Jimin are trained dancers first. Taking about J-Hope , he's the only member who is heavily implicated on both sides of the coin. He is a composer/writer as well as the main dancer and teacher for the 7 members. They have a choreographer who shows J-hope the routine and he is the class teacher who overlook the practice and training making sure that everyone master the choreo perfectly. All that to say that in Bangtan each of the members play an important role and contribute with their unique skills.

It's so crazy that they were called sellouts. They didn't get a payout when they signed with Big Hit. What they did get was an endless life of grueling training and living in a lowkey sh**y tiny apartment that was moldy, leaky and had bugs. Their label was tiny, broke and had never trained a group before. Their training was on a shoestring and cobbled together. Their dance practice room was in a damp basement where they had to be careful not to jump too high with choreo tricks because of the low ceilings. The rappers trained for 3 years and the vocalists for anywhere from a few months in Jimin's case (which is an unheard of short time in the industry) to a couple years, because they were found and signed later. They were basically keeping the lights on for their company, which was mortgaged to the eyeballs, with whatever work they could get in the beginning, including as back up dancers for a mall fashion show, or for other groups. They worked so hard, and pushed themselves so hard, literally dancing til they bled, singing til they lost their voices, occasionally sleeping in the practice studio to get in just a little bit more practice time, writing and producing all night long and crashing back at their apartment in the early morning before practices and lessons began again. They were also still in school at the time. Jungkook was just 13 and still in middle school when he moved all the way across the country and into their dorm apartment with his new big brothers. Jimin, V and Jungkook were all still in high school when they debuted. RM, Suga and j-hope were still in high school when they were trainees. Jin was cast as a college freshman and stayed in school as well. ** Note - in the Taylor Guide when they mention their ages in clips, know that they are saying 1-2 years older than they actually were. This is because until this year S Korea used a different age counting system where you were one year old at birth and another year older at the new year. So even if you were born at the end of December, you would be considered 2 years old in January. This year they switched to what they call Global Age, which is what the rest of us use. So at signing, Jungkook was 13. When they debuted in 2013 their ages were: RM - 18 Jin - 20 Suga - 19 j-hope - 19 Jimin - 17 V - 17 Jungkook - 15 (This is official fan chant order, the leader is always first and then they are listed oldest to youngest.) Mr. Bang started Big Hit because he didn't like the way artists were treated in the industry. He is a revolutionary. He prizes artistic freedom over all else, so they were writing music right from the beginning, especially RM and Suga, who had the most experience. The one mandate he gave them was to put their real heart and their real stories in their music. So they did. Bang Si-Hyuk's anti-corporate mission to uplift the art (the company tagline is "Music and Artist for Healing") is one reason the industry hates them and continues to work against them. It's a whole thing and there are a ton of videos about that if you want to know more. Let me know and I can suggest some good ones.

You need to watch the live performance!! It is fire live!! Also BTS music shows their journey as people. When RM and Suga released their first mixtapes they write full of anger and trying to prove themselves but as they got older they started asking questions and more successful they slowly started healing and mellowing out and forgiving and trying to look towards their future instead of the past. Once you watch the Taylor guide and learn a bit more about all the members, you may want to checkout a great video by Boracity on BTS' Chapter 1 (before the current break to complete military service and release solo projects) discography. It doesn't have to be an onscreen reaction, but the discography overview will give you an idea of their musical evolution, as well as just how much forethought and cohesion they put into their work. Oh and the sheer quantity of releases.. its *A LOT* in 10ish years. They are some of the hardest working people you'll come across. Don't worry about song spoilers. Here is a link to Cypher 1: kzread.info/dash/bejne/nZxozdSGoKeWYMo.html I just remembered! Born Singer! Not a diss track, but an early story of their comeup, with all three rappers doing a verse, and the vocal line singing chorus. It is a remake of J. Cole's Born Sinner, if you know it. Well in the beginning our vocal line didn’t write a lot of the songs. They put input but songs were predominantly written by the rap line esp RM & Suga. Suga and Rm did their mix tapes to let out that anger pretty much or to just be able to say things they couldn’t say as a whole group. I’m unsure if j hopes first mix tape has diss tracks but he has tracks about his journey and his person.

You will not be disappointed when you delve into the vocal line, and the seven all together. Butter and Dynamite, the songs you might hear on the radio, are not really indicative of what I consider to be there best content, although they are super fun, and good songs. One of my favorite songs that features the whole vocal line, is The Truth Untold. Do the live stage mix. I think you'll be very impressed. Sorry you got negative comments! I really like you guys, and look forward to your BTS reactions!

Please react to "Give it to me" by Agust D, it's the continuation of this music video. This is why I love him, his rap style is so amazing! All of the BTS of course, they have different rap styles. Enjoying your reactions as always 💜

Now it's time to watch the Rap Line together (Agust D 'Suga' + Jhope + RM), the best way for me is watching the song 'UGH' Live at the BUSAN CONCERT '22 ! 💪
