Hi Steven thanks for your comment, mine loves either JSB Diablo 15.89 or JSB hades of the same weight. They both give consistent tight groups when I do my bit. They also produce 11.2 ft/lbs safely inside the limit 👍

Hi Robert thanks for your question. I get somewhere in the region of 160 + shots from my 300 bar fill. I’m sure a larger bottle could be fitted but I haven’t heard of anyone actually doing this yet🙏

Yo, what’s its best pellets?

Has the carbon sroud got a foam lining ? Thinking of lining the standard sroud to see if it makes it any quieter?

@jfkenpoman1 you have 2 weeks to try before I get my vixen. lol might save me a job, lol .I have some sheets of felt and 3mm EVA sheets was going to mask off any threads and use carpet spray or make a cage covered in felt to slide into the tube ??

Is the sroud hollow right to the end ? If so, when I get a Vixen, I will make baffling to fit inside to make an integral mod

No mate there is baffling in the end, when I make the next video on Tuesday I will take it apart so people can see the internals

@jfkenpoman1 Thank you sir , ,I use to shoot springers 40 years ago then pcp and them moved onto FAC for 15 years ,I gave up my FAC like a fool 7 uears ago as I had lots of other hobbies and it got expensive, I have decided to start shooting again but sticking to air rifles ,I pick up a new HW97K next Saturday and can't wait, but after April I will be looking into getting a PCP ,I did fall in love with the BRK Ghost but not a fan of bullpup, I have held one in the shop and they look the part ,but I do like the Vixen as its a bit similar to the AR15 I used to shoot ,I have a 1000 acres of land I metal detect on so will be asking my farmers if I can do a bit of pesting again ,can't wait ,thank you for your help and I've subbed, love the vids as you are calm and positive on your work 👍

Thank you sir for your kind words, I still have my fac with slots for both .22 and .177 air, as well as 223 c/f. Thank you for subscribing as well. As I said I will also be making another video using a sound meter to measure the noise level. Over the years I’ve had most makes and models of pcp fac and non fac air rifles. The vixen for me is an ideal great piece of kit with its light weight and reasonable shot count. I love it. Out of interest what sort of video content would you be interested in seeing. I’ve got some rat shooting footage. I’m hoping to get out next week weather permitting to get a few more 👍 cheers Jon

@jfkenpoman1 any shooting vids m8 ,I used to do a lot of vermin control vids back in the day ,until the antis got my first channel shut down lol and I also did a lot of target/bench shooting and practical shotgun, really miss it as well but not the hours of sitting in the shed doing home loads ,I got my southern gun AR15 straight pull groups down to ax1 ragged hole at 100m on a good day, then I started to get bored so I got a AK and then went back to black powder, I had a major back operation last year and I was on morphine for 12 months but now changed to Tramadol, and I know plod won't give me a fac as it's a class A drug ,even tho it's proscribed for pain relief not for depression

Hi would u say the carbon shround is quiter then your silencer ? Only askin as thinkin about buying the carbon shroud thanks

Hi frank, thanks for your reply. It is very close the silencer is marginally quieter but is longer than the shroud. Only about 0.5 a decibel in it from memory. The rats aren’t going to hear that. But it’s easy to swap over if I need too. 👍

What is the name of that short sillencer? Not the carbon

Hi there thank you for your comment, the moderator is an early twink silencer, I’ve had it for years and it’s been on a few of my rifles👍

I snapped the three pronged alloy internal silencer just trying to get it off, tried, oil, heat, hot water, NOTHING worked

Hi Bill thanks for your comment, sorry that this has happened to you, you’ll be better off getting one of George’s carbon shrouds then, as they have an internal baffle system fitted. Good luck with whatever you decide. Keep us posted 👍

Can you still get a hold of George i would like a shrout for the short . Found one for the long version on ebay , bud that was not sold buy George an d i can't find him greetings
