Agri Fab Disc Harrow Attachment For Your Garden Tractor. A Review And Demonstration

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

I figured since I had it out and was getting ready to make some rows for the garden that I would make a video covering the Disc Harrow attachment for garden tractors.
If your interested in getting one, here is the link :
brinly.com/product/dd-55bh_sle...
Its a handy little tiller replacement that can cut up the big sod clumps produced by turning your garden.
I've even used it to break new ground, but it takes many many passes to get the job done.
I was actually using it to make my rows in this video. that's why the rake was set so tight. It works really good for that task as well. almost as good as a actual hiller.

I bought an adapter to be able to use all of my sleeve hitch attachments with my new Kubota, but I haven't had time to set is up and try it out. My worry is that with all the extra power the BX has I might end up damaging the attachments.

Farpoint Farms well the only thing I can see happening is with the cultivator if you snag a.root or rock with one of the teeth it will probably jist bend it instead of stop you or make you spin your wheels....the plow will deff work just fine though!!!

Technical questions. I have a very nice dgt6000 Craftsman tractor with a 26hp Kohler command pro and a beefy looking hydrostatic trans. The frame on garden tractors from the mid 90s on isn't as heavy as older units. Assuming your Husqvarna has an hour meter; how many hours of work has it done with ground engaging tools like this and your single point plow vs ez mowing hours? Any stress cracks or mechanical issues? Doesn't sound like hydro is whining much if any working the plow or disk.. I want to use my tractor to make a substantial garden at my home and then offer garden prep as a service through my lawn care business to fill a need in my rural town and fill our bank account before grass cutting season

  • @1dh11

You have it mounted backwards, the top plate where the blocks go should be parallel to the ground. A single set of discs should push the dirt out, the 2nd set pulls it back in. Ground is flat when your done.

In the most basic terms its a add on that costs about $140 from sears that bolts onto the back of Garden Tractors (or with minor modifications to riding mowers) and adds a lift and lower function to the back of the units. With this attachment you can then add a variety of implements to use with your tractor. Its a lot like a "real" tractor has a 3 point hitch to attach implements to, but this is a smaller lighter setup just for garden tractors. You can see many of the implements in some of my other videos, but there are others and a lot of creative guys build their own creations. To see what one looks like I made a video last spring that shows what it looks like and how it works.

Tandem wold make a world difference that you will love. Also tandem reducing the time to 1/3 as it takes three passes. Single to eaqual 1 pass tandem. And you do not need. I'm in the market for a new GT. I do year round maintenance for several housing communities. I have a Kubota Z725 commercial z turn for mowing, and a Kubota 1100rtv for snow plowing and other odd jobs, but you always need a good GT,,I have an agricultural tractor as well with FEL and stone rake..My good old Ford 3910,,big tank but may someday soon upgrade it to an L series Kubota. Anyway regarding your GT. I know the new model is now under the TS name. I am looking into buying the TS348XD with the Kawasaki engine and K66 ground engaging rear end with electronic diff lock. Same as yours basically but with the Kawasaki and a back to the key start ignition and the newest Clear Cut deck. How is the frame on your GT? Does it flex while going over uneven terrain? I only ask as I borrowed a Husqvarna to do some mowing with when my mowing tractor was down last season...But the frame flexed horribly...but to be fair it was not a GT...It was a LGT2654 which is basically a lawn mower only disguised as a light garden tractor....I'm hoping the TS series is heavy duty in the frame department as I don't want to spend almost twice as much money on a X 500 series green machine..thanks for your help...I always need a good GT with implements for many small jobs, and for mowing in hard to get spots that the big z turn would get me in trouble..

I've had my GT52xlsi for 5 years now and I'd say that body flex is minimal. I've done some really hard work with mine and the frame shows no signs of cracks or flex damage.

I have a TS354d and it doesn't flex that I've noticed. I dragged a dethatcher through an overgrown field with mole holes and root clumps with no problems. Same with the box scraper blade on my rutted, washed out driveway after the spring thaw. Just watch your speed and don't hit stumps/rocks etc. The only thing I've noticed is major understeer with the diff lock engaged but you just have to be aware of it, or get a weight bracket for the front end when dragging something off the back end.

Sleeve hitch is NOT required! That's the reason it has the weight rack Edition. So you can be used behind standard tractors with a standard hitch heck I've seen them use behind two wheel tractors and single wheel tractors that are walk behinds. It's great to have a sleeve hitch or a 3 point hitch to do pressure with. But if you don't have that you just add extra weight on the weight rack and go to pulling

  • @FarpointFarms

    @FarpointFarms

    5 жыл бұрын

With out the sleeve hitch, there is no way to raise or lower it when making passes. I can't imagine it being very useful when you would have to literally pull it out if the ground to unhook it on every pass.

Its a garden tractor much more expensive and useful than a lawn tractor/ (lawn mower) lawn mower and do a good bit of it but takes longer because if you push it to hard it will break axles and trans. Those garden tractors basically have lug nuts like a care law tractor have a single shaft which is much weaker.. i have a john deere e140 but planning on maybe getting a tow behind rototiller. It looks like he has a garden tractor i could be wrong...
