I just had a 10 year reunion and it was so nice to re-meet people. They were no longer the same people and many of them have grown and matured and become amazing people that I actually like now.

it was so hard as a viewer in this youtube space back then seeing all of my favorite creators feel tortured and trapped by something they used to love doing. there was a period of people stepping back left and right and i just couldn't imagine what everyone was going through! its so so nice now to see how many have healed and made their own decision about whether they want to continue making content or not. so beautiful to experience

holy mother of god, i haven't seen you in sooo long. I've started watching you in high school, now im approaching my 30s, I've got my master's degree, had a near death experience, I've been through a revolution in my country, a war, and now another war. and I can't believe that you DIDn't abandon KZread. your presence reminds me of that good life I had. i feel incredible nostalgia and ache. you're great.

I randomly saw this video pop up in my notifications bar, and it's been a LONG while since I've watched anything if yours. And it all hit me: how your face and your voice and videos and general online presence have been such an amazing anchor for me throughout my adolescence, which used to be very troubled and confusing and very stressful and depressing. It was an escape from a harsh reality. And so, I just wanted to come by and say thank you for all of what you've done, unknowingly, to help me, by providing what was more than just entertainment, but felt like a fun, safe space.

Been following you for well over a decade now, started when I was around 12/13- I’m now 24, engaged and a dad. Definitely not as active follower as previously but I still listen to the podcast every week and adore it on the commute to work- keep up the good work, it has only gotten better as time has gone on

Hi Tyler! I’m 23, and am now very much beginning to grapple with coming out of my teen years and aging into adulthood. I remember watching a ton of your videos as a kid/teen, and i’m always glad to see your stuff come across my TL either on here, Twitter, or Tik Tok. I think this video does hit a particular nerve as someone who’s in that weird time where you’re young but feel this massive distance between yourself and both older adults and teenagers. I appreciate your perspective a lot, and i’m really glad you chose to sit down and air out some stuff and reflect because it feels good to be reminded that yes, we all go through that time, others are struggling with it or experiencing it too, and i’m not alone. Finally, I really hope they bring you back on Drag Race at some point because the episode you were on is one of my all time favorites.

been casually following you on other parts of the internet + popping in on twitch every few months and just have to say that it makes me smile every time I see you and other vloggers from the early era who have become more comfortable doing what you want on your own schedule. I literally love hearing how much you’re enjoying twitch and appreciate your continued presence in my life after all of these years!

I feel like being on this platform in the late 00s is the embodiment of "Blink twice if you need help." So many people around my age just seem to have been shattered in some way by their experience.

I think sometimes people get stuff in a certain timeframe because it comforting to them. Alot has happened these last few years and people have been quite nostalgic for the happy, peaceful moments and alot of people felt with your channel.

Last time I watched a Tyler Oakley video was probably in 2014…9 years ago. I’m now 24, growing up with the internet makes us more aware of our aging. The internet is both a gift and a curse seeing how it reminds us how much time can go in a blink of an eye. There’s time capsules of videos we used to watch or even ones we might have been in, it’s insane.

ngl i watched you from the very start (and on and off since) - just turned 35 this past month (yay, we're in our 30s) and I saw you on Anthony's recent video. I was like "I know that voice.. but I don't recognize that face" and then he said "tyler oakley" and I have never been more motivated to get fit than that moment. You are doing great my dude. stellar. absolutely killing it. And I'd have to say a large part of that (im guessing) is being like 'hey im in my 30s and im gonna focus on me and what I want out of life' - whatever it is keep doing it dude :D
