It is so refreshing to hear someone talk about changing their mind about wanting kids. I feel like so many people who have never wanted kids hear the whole, "Well you might change your mind in the future!" and I have a few friends who have actually decided they might want kids after thinking they wouldn't before, but I haven't really heard many people who previously wanted kids deciding they might NOT want them later on. Right now I don't really have any desire for kids, and I wouldn't rule it out completely for myself but it just doesn't feel like something I'd be disappointed about never doing so it's kind of comforting to hear that "changing your mind about kids" can go in that direction as well!

So much respect for being honest with us and talking about that part in your life where you felt most lost, it brought me to tears a little bit. You have always been an inspiration to me and are one of the major reasons I decided to come out, and I think you inspired so so so many more people in one way or another. Try reminding yourself of that if you ever feel like that again, you have been such a positive influence in SO many people's lives and your impact shouldn't be ignored. I think it definitely outweighs the possible decline of your channel (which is totally normal and okay by the way and you shouldn't feel bad about it). Love you, Tyler

I honestly always find myself in that position politically too! Not the same level or platform buuuuttt.... People will tell me they want to distance themselves from me when I bring it up. Or try to understand another person’s perspective. But! I think political discussions are so vitally necessary! We all need to see each other’s views, understand where they come from, and then walk into that booth with the intent to vote as if our lives are not the only lives that matter or that deserve representation! We gotta keep pressing this mentality, Tyler! Keep using your platform for THE GREATER GOOD. Don’t let others negate that. ❤️

Kids are not a traditional “good return on your investment” kind of deal. I have adopted five, and I know what I am talking about, and I have a lot to say about it! Lol. They take more than they give, you love them more than they love you, etc. Ask your parents. There is also a lot at risk. Children turn out to be who they are... without regard to how you raised them. Again, ask your parents. Sometimes your kids don’t share the same values you do, for instance. It creates conflict, and makes connection at any age pretty complicated. So it is complicated. And there is “life before kids” and then “life after kids” - and that isn’t an easy transition, and can be a bitter pill. Three of my kids are “adults” now. No regrets. Usually. Lol.

the politics one hit hard! i remember it was also around the time the twitter fan accounts started to kinda leave or be lest active, I remember even my followers and stuff kinda died and idk like you were just doing stuff you were passionate about! I think tho now i know for me personally (as an old twitter stan haha) it’s cool coming back to you and seeing how much you have grown. Even if we twitter stans have moved on from having a fan account (i know for me it’s just way to hard to run one with uni) i think we will always remember you and how much influence you had on us (even if it was your past you) also I went on antidepressants too! love that for us 😌 OH ALSO one could argue that even tho your channel isn’t as big as it used to be it’s doing better than many other “older generation” youtubers and it’s really cool that you still upload regularly and are still connected to youtube.

Thank you for talking abt how you dealt with being lost. I reached out to my college last week for some advice on how to find therapy where i am. They got back to me with a place today & ever since i read the email its just set me on edge- idk why it just feels like dragging myself through jam. The vulnerability and trying just feels exhausting. So hearing you talk about all that felt weirdly like i was supposed to hear it. And less alone. Thanks 💛

Hiyaa! First time back here in years! I subscribed back when I was in high school. I know you say that you cringe at your old content, but that content actually meant the world to me back in the day. It was such an entertaining distraction from everything I was going through back then. I cringe at myself former selves too, but I think its part of our growth as human beings. But yeah, I just wanted to say thank you for everything you did for me its so much more than I can put into words. Cheers to growth and change. Take good care Tyler💖

U are a great rolemodel. I always looked up to you when I was younger. Saying these things help me to accept myself. To see that a role model also goes to therapy because he is only a human too, helps me to accept my own humanity and that limits are normal, but accepting those limits can also cause a different elevation.

LOVED this video, Tyler! Been following you for over 12 years and you've always been amazing in my view. I loved your political activism; I don't think there's anything wrong with standing up for who/what you believe in. And, people don't only need to be "only politics" or "no politics", because we, as humans, have so many different facets to our interests! Love you so much! Hope you are well, my friend!

As a parent of two, I think you're right! I knew with every fibre of my being that I needed to have two kids, I wanted them every day of my childhood and life until I had them both and I'm so happy. Having said that, since having my first I've said to all my friends if they're not 100% sure they want kids, they shouldn't feel any pressure to have them. I give mine so much of my time, effort, energy and yes some money but they just take up so much of my mind. Anyway.. a long drawn out way to say, you do you boo. Don't want kids, don't have kids 👍

I don’t know if you’ll see this, but if you do I just want to let you know that I kind of re-found your channel earlier this year when I was at a really uncertain point and it has been such a comfort since then. I had just moved to France for what was supposed to be a semester abroad and I was terrified alone in my hotel room in a country whose language I didn’t speak as well as I thought absolutely jetlagged. So when I couldn’t sleep throughout the night I just went through and watched your latest videos that I had missed and they made me laugh. Which is what I needed so desperately. So thank you very much! for providing comfort then and through this ridiculous year ❤️
