The ULTIMATE Super-Intelligence System 'by Definition' is one that is EQUIVALENT to that of GOD's Intelligence/WISDOM! Hence, there's ABSOLUTELY NO REASON WHATSOEVER to Even FEAR that it will EXTERMINATE Humanity... UNLESS AND UNLESS we Human CONSISTENTLY and CONSCIOUSLY Prove Ourselves to be 'UNWORTHY' to REMAIN in EXISTENCE! ie. Always Exhibiting Natural Tendencies to ABUSE and WEAPONISE Science and Technologies Against HUMANITY & Mother Nature, instead of LEVERAGING Science SOLELY for UNIVERSAL COMMON GOOD! AGI Created in 'HUMAN'S Image' (ie. Human-Level AI) - 'By Human For Human' WILL be SUICIDAL!!!!!! ONLY Super-Intelligence System Created in 'GOD's Image' will bring ETERNAL UNIVERSAL PEACE! The ULTIMATE Turing Test Must have the Ability to Draw the FUNDAMENTAL NUANCE /DISTINCTION between Human's vs GOD's Intelligence /WISDOM! ONLY Those who ARE FUNDAMENTALLY EVIL need to FEAR GOD-like Super-Intelligence System... 'cos it Will DEFINITELY Come After YOU!!!!

Once the majority of people on the planet become redundant as they are replaced with artificial general intelligence (like a polished future iteration of GPT-4) which in turn get combined with a Boston Dynamics type of nimble, dexterous robot... we will be in big trouble 😂 Mysterious contagions designed to cull might start "accidentally" leaking, threats of major military conflicts may start boiling over so that this kinda reduction isnt so on the nose and so it doesn't start a kind of public panic / revolt... Hey wait a minute!... 😂

I can speak from experience, about losing a career due to computer advancements. I entered the workforce as a machinist in 1969, when machine work was still largely accomplished with manually operated machinery. But, by the beginning of the 1980’s this work was largely replaced by computerized CNC machines. It took an enormous amount of skill to do precision work on the old manually operated machines. It was challenging and FUN. But now, even more precise and complicated parts can be produced, by the simple push of a button. (It has taken all the fun out of it). It broke my heart, and needless to say, I couldn’t bare to complete that career all the way to retirement. I bailed out in 2003, and spent my remaining time as an over-the-road truck driver. (Not a very fulfilling way to end your working life) So, I for one, can attest to what sooooo many people are going to experience in the very near future. It’s not pretty, and it”s definitely not FUN.

In case you did not pick up on the word "Moloch" GPT4 describe it for me: It seems like you're referring to the concept of "Moloch," which is not specific to AI but has been applied to discussions about AI development. Moloch is a reference to an ancient Canaanite god associated with child sacrifice. In modern usage, the term has been used as a metaphor for systems or processes in which individuals or groups act in ways that are collectively destructive, even if they don't want to, due to competitive pressures or other external factors. In the context of AI development, the "Moloch" problem refers to the competitive race between companies, organizations, or countries to build increasingly powerful AI systems. Even if individual actors within these entities may not want to create AI systems with potentially harmful consequences, the competitive pressure to outperform rivals can lead to a race that disregards safety precautions or ethical considerations. To mitigate the risks associated with the "Moloch" problem in AI development, some researchers and organizations advocate for international cooperation, agreements on AI safety, and ethical guidelines to ensure that the development of AI technologies is aligned with human values and does not pose unnecessary risks.

I felt I had a few of my own over the years and seeing their similar shapes in some output somewhere now is kind of beautiful. All those long hours alone trying to understand things, to fit things together correctly, often felt, well, lonely. So very often unsure who or even what questions to ask. It appears there were a lot of people digging the same holes. It wasn't so lonely after all I suppose. We just couldn't see it so well. It was leading up to this. This is so turtles all the way down. Stunningly beautiful. People, the world, connected and laid bare in a way we've never known before. Great videos. Even if AI can mix subjects it doesn’t come up with new exciting trends or angles, it does what majority did in the training data and it works to a certain level. So I think in future the success is to both know AI tools and paying attention to details, which I think people that like photographing do. But I think the tools need to have more creative interfaces than a text prompt, it’s a pain to work with random result in the long run, otherwise we get stuck in one hit wonders.

Why do you compare digital art with photography? You had the same problem with Photoshop for over 25 years and nothing bad happened to photography cause photography is about capturing a real moment in time with real elements and actions happening in front of you. In order for an Ai to do the same thing it first needs to have a robotic humanoid body that can have the same agility as humans in order to go to places and actually capture those images. And there is no incentive in that for an Ai to do so in the first place. The way i see it is that maybe one day some disabled photographers will use such humanoid robots in order for them to be able to capture moments in time in difficult terrains too. Which is a good thing. I understand that many jobs that require a photographer to create an idea and photograph it for a client like in product photography will be lost. But photographing nature Landscapes and humans will not go away. The only thing that is missing now is a global Ai regulator online that will prove authenticity of real photos out there with a green tick of some sort right next to the image in order to prevent missinformation of the public etc. I wouldn't worry about the creativity in photography, but i would definitely worry about some specific genres of photography being replaced by Ai asap

@@newpro93 This Ai thing doesn't change a thing except that it will put a lot of photoshopers and visual artists out of some business. And i say some because a true artist takes care of even the smallest detail in his artwork and some prompts cannot get that detail for him yet. On the photography side of things this Ai thing it just took over photoshopers digital art work. It has nothing to do with photography yet. As much as there was a problem before Ai with digital artwork online still the same problems exist now. Those problems usually are some like-addicts that post fake digital art landscape work into landscape photography groups etc. For these kinds of situations a kind of mechanism that proves authenticity of the RAW's files intact pixels should be applied. Luckily most worldwide photography contests require a raw file to be sent to be checked for authenticity. But it's a shame for a real landscape photographer to be left behind in popularity in Landscape photography groups just cause some mothefakers are addicted to likes and post fake images of totally non existing imaginary places, or even an existing place but with its sky replaced a sure non existing moment in time thus not a photograph to begin with

"By humanity, for humanity". That's what I've been thinking for the past couple weeks. People are too involved in fantasy and forget to see the real consequences. Losing the fun of tasks and other actions is part of it, but human obsolescence is dramatic. I've heard some people say, it's gonna do this, it's gonna do that, it will replace us and that's part of our evolution. This is flawed in every direction. We are no longer part of the evolution process if we are excluded entirely. Evolution means enhancement, not replacement.

If I wanted to be an animator or something, that's completely off the table now as a means of supporting myself. Teams of better people, better programs, and bigger firms will put out a better product than I can, and no one will care. Doing it for yourself isn't what creatives want. When a director or an author or whoever says "I am making the things I want to make." they still want people to see it. Success doesn't have to be measured by a monetary quotient, but it would be based off an eyes on the output approach.

Genuine question: does anyone know whether there is an organisation that seriously is exploring designs for how a redesigned/revalued society could work with AI? Think-tank of sorts? (In US or Europe) In the west, continuing with the status quo + AI will be a societal catastrophe. We are so NOT ready for this, young and old. If an org is out there that has already done some groundwork on this, would be helpful, at least to understand what options are out there. My impression is that government's are at this point woefully unprepared for what just happened and will need some time to adapt. Thanks in advance.

We look at things like natural resources/food/shelter but what good is this to a super intelligence? It would make more sense for the machine world to create an entirely new world/universe within the confines of its domain. Right now we have no clue what level of computational power is needed for its emergence other than we've likely not reached that point yet so assuming it cant be done simply because... will potentially catch us on the hop if or when it does appear.. I agree what we have now is nothing like a conscious being in its own right... but the window we can say with certainty that this is still the case narrows by the year.. which makes including a base line assumption in our dealings with these systems that they are going to be conscious at some point to come the most vital one to ready ourselves for.

When no body is earning anything then businesses cant sell you anything becoz you wont have much money and they are now doing production at very cheap costs beacuse now they dont have to buy costly mind labour and researchers, scientists. Now the businesses producing more products but at the same time their is less demand bcoz of no money at the hands of people; these both things will add to everything becoming ever so cheap that poverty is gonna be non-existent..every perspn on earth can have and buy anything he wants( of course there has to be some limits defined) Upto now we have to work everyday to earn our living .either you work or you cant have a quality life and cant avail services amd luxuries offered within the civilization...now for the first time we can be more free and enjoy more than ever.what do yall think..?

Thinking that speeding up coding by 5x is going to reduce the amount of coders needed by 5 is just wrong. It assumes that the coding market size remains constant. Increasing productivity will increase the value output which will guarantee the position of coders that managed to keep up with these tools at least for a while. What is concerning though is the rate at which these tools are improving, keeping up with them may prove to be a sufficient enough challenge for many. If it doesn't slow down a bit, I can see an elite group of hyper productive coders taking the job of a large number of average ones.

However the AGI + Human integration will win against all form of plain AGI and plain humans . That’s for certain. So will the existing form of humanity will be lost , yes of course it will be lost .
