i feel like Kelly was already moving along and leaving like they wanted and it was aggressive for the guard to put her arm up and rush her faster. if i was in heels and and a tight dress moving slowly and she was doing that to me, i’d be pissed too.

The absurdity and the humour of this situation aside, that security guard was on a crazy power trip - from her face & manner you can see she is enjoying causing stress to those women. If I was treated like that I’d be upset… this wasn’t “doing her job” this was unprofessional & embarrassing for everyone involved.

I mean I agree about this being an extremely privileged thing to have an issue about, but I feel it's still justified. Self absorbed or not, they still deserve to be treated like people and like adults, not like cattle. And it is a part of Celebrity's jobs to take pics and boost their public image. And ik this may not have been the case, contextually, but the second woman with the Jesus train could've pegged it as religious discrimination or even worse. Ik the context is important but so is the actual crime/ offense, if someone treated regular citizens that payed a lot of money for an event like this, they'd be virtually lynched. I disagree that it's different just because these people have money and are self absorbed.

  • @marianrock11

Yes, the people who are actually presenting a movie are treated differently because this event is about the movies, not posing on red carpet. The regular celebs have no right to take too much time. 2300 people have to walk these stairs in 1 hour. If everyone wanted to have a private photoshoot then the event would take way longer (and then the celebs who already entered would complain that they have to wait too long inside)

The security might be rude and they might have gone overboard, so what you should do is just simply report this to the coordinators and the event organisers. If they go too far, file a police report. But what you shouldn’t do is go and fight or argue with them because you should have more class than that, and you definitely shouldn’t take this as a great opportunity to play the racist card when you are obviously privileged as hell, and they do it to all kinds of people. That just simply doesn’t have the right tone to it.

I'm sorry for the uselessness of what I'm about to say but : first I don't think she was being disrespectful towards women of color, (I'm not saying there aren't any racists in France but sadly there are a lot) we don't have the same approach to the concept of race, race doesn't exist in French to talk about people and their ethnic background, in french "race" applied to humans is a anthropological term so the actual "race" is homo sapiens sapiens, I hope I make sense. Then in the artistic world (from actress to hair and makeup to security or technical staff) displaying xenophobic views or actions is something that can lead you to no job at all. And finally, people are treated on the same level, plebians or celebrities (once again I'm not saying privileges don't exist because it would be incorrect and far from the truth, but you know social security etc) so I just think this lady is doing her job, doesn't have a clue who these women are, and keeps being professional and obeying what she's been told so everyone can have the exact same time on the red carpet, international celebrities or indie cinéma actors. (or I'm biased because we both are French women 😅).

i like how the comments are split between people like you defending the celebs being upset at this and the rest of the normal people mocking entitled people like you and the celebs for crying about a lady doing her job.

lol damn blud why u assuming that much. I think you can stick that fence post a little further innit cuz I see ur cringe implication. But who did I defend? My whole take is that it's bad business for one of the companies involved. If you can't understand that you're lost. You really think it's normal to mock entitled people? Ur sus. But bet ur ass I'm entitled; this drivel you responded with helps justify it. And ur pretty bad faith, so ur surely a troll, if not go back to school kid.

@@itchiegames tf you on blud I aint defended nobody. i hope this is bad faith trolling, otherwise go back to class kid. Hollywood is a business, that's all I'm rly pointing out... But normal people don't be mocking entitled people. That's so weird to think. You should reflect on this abuser mindset and learn to love the world. I like you my guy, albeit in part for helping justify me feelings entitlement by responding with this drivel
