I’m thinking that it has something to do with “growing up” with these celebrities that clouds her judgment. I remember in the Selena video she pretty much said Selena did absolutely no wrong ever and that she’s perfect. Ariana and Selena were both child stars on children’s tv shows and went on to have massive fame into adulthood. Olivia probably feels very close to them parasocially. To me, it’s really showing problems that so many kids my age (I’m a year younger than Olivia) face with online controversy and not being able to challenge your beliefs

I think Ariana has always secretly been a mean scallywag. During donut gate, I remember it wasnt her licking the donuts that pissed me off, more so how she treated the workers there. Rewatching the videos, she was very rude and condescending asking the worker for a "Donut professional," saying she "Hates America," "WTF is this?!" and saying "Disgusting" right in the worker's face who is just trying to help her. Doesn't help that she was giggling and laughing with her friends after. Not to mention she changes her voice and race to benefit from different communities. My old co workers girlfriend at the time worked in spaces with Ariana and said that she acted like a female dog, treats everyone like they’re beneath her, this feeling was mutual between other employees as well. And that was in 2018.

Olivia should have been more professional and put her own feelings aside. This PowerPoint was horrible. She was trying to excuse everything. Ethan would have done a better job.

@@chickennugget5007 I think they just left it to Olivia because this has always been her thing, but even so, I find myself more and more turned off by her powerpoints because of her painfully obvious biases. She had some similar behavior in the Colleen powerpoint. She was suggesting alongside other viewers that Colleen had her inappropriate relationships with minors because she was homeschooled, and therefore not well socialized enough with kids, which is CRAZY to say when she was (from what I recall) only homeschooled 1 year. And even so, even if you ignore all of the illegality among other things, Colleen’s behavior is that of a high school mean-girl multiplied by 100. If it was the case that she was actually sheltered and unsocialized as a kid, she was only 30 something years old at the time. She knows how to act around PEOPLE and knows a mild example of how to treat them, even if she doesn’t personally follow through with it. Colleen has always known her relationships were inappropriate and wouldn’t be received well, it’s why she tried to turn the situation on Adam and make it all out to be him abusing their friendship and trying to get clout out of her. Meanwhile, she was creating multiple coveted cliques behind the scenes with dozens of underage fans and turning them against each other- She knew how great her power was, and Adam among others speaking out about her has made him the villain for her to turn the situation onto. She’s just evil.

She knows how to act unbelievably fake and convince most people she’s this ‘genuine girl-next-door’ who treats everybody with kindness and just wants to make everyone laugh, all while she’s turning one teenager against a sick one and making fun of their gender identity struggles, sending all of her friends (most underage) porn of a woman she will call her best-friend to her face to use her body as an inside joke, insisted on excluding minorities from her show because ‘it wasn’t realistic for Washington’, and a plethora of other things that would probably exceed the character limit. By the way, it’s also just laughable that she insisted it was because it was supposed to be in Washingston when Washington had absolutely no relevance to the show. Half of her fans at that age were about 10 years old, the setting of the story really isn’t relevant to them. Some might not even know what the hell Washington even IS, it was suchhh a lame excuse.

She was liking Mother’s Day posts Ethan was making about his wife while sneaking around with Ariana, she was befriending her and even held their baby, and THEN told her she wants one too, that is beyond sick. She will do absolutely anything to get what she wants because she already has absolutely everything- It’s why everything she does is a whim or a challenge, and she’s latched onto making taken men her challenge. Without a doubt, a homewrecker can’t wreck without being let into the home, and in no way did Ariana ever MAKE any of these men cheaters, but pretending she’s anything but is just plain ignorance at this point. Both her and Ethan are disgusting, but what makes all of this funny is that she’s already beginning to cut the rope with him after the backlash.. which unsurprisingly, does NOT seem to be a lot or enough for her part. She was going out with them as a family, pretending to be this woman’s best fucking friend while tiptoeing behind her back with her man. And you KNOW she doesn’t feel even remotely sorry. Olivia was a bit too biased in favour of Ariana Grande, she left out a lot of the evidence, and she seems to have forgotten that Ariana has done questionable things in the past e.g. the donut licking incident. I think what so many people are failing to realize is that Ariana probably wanted to get with Ethan to feed her ego. She knows that she is the best (in the looks & fame department) that he will/has ever gotten. She does this because she is literally bored. She wanted to do something erratic like this after going through marital problems leading up to a divorce to boost her ego. Taking her intentions into account makes this whole situation feel even more sinister especially when a 15 year relationship has ended and a baby is involved.

This was a big miss for me in not addressing Ariana's previous behavior and giving her the benefit of the doubt. Olivia did a whole PowerPoint on Sydney Sweeney possibly cheating with her coworker, which was based way more on speculation than this - an affair that was all but confirmed by Ethan Slater's wife and a repeated history of Ariana cheating with men in relationships. The double standard isn't cool. I know Olivia is young; I made a lot of mistakes early on in my career, and I don't envy her having her fuck-ups broadcasted to a huge audience. I try to be more lenient towards her and understanding, but she should really consider saying, "Hey, I think I'm too biased to be giving this presentation. Let's hand it over to someone else this time."

Tbh I haven’t seen many of Olivia’s PP’s but according to the comments I’ve been reading she has had ZERO issue with putting others on blast. it’s just a powerpoint. it’s not that serious. yes, it would’ve been nice if she was unbiased. but she’s not an actual news reporter. this is just petty celebrity drama, unlike colleen’s situation which was actually quite serious and sinister. also, I’m not even defending Ariana Grande. it seems like she is definitely guilty of an affair here. however, this idea that she has a history of unfaithfulness is false. with Cazzie David (Pete Davidson’s ex-girlfriend), Cazzie had already broken up with Pete over a month prior to him and Ariana getting together. with Big Sean, Naya Rivera said in an interview that the part in her book about her walking in on Ariana and Sean together in her house was blown out of proportion. Ariana and Sean were simply working on music together. There’s no proof they were ever romantically involved during his relationship with Naya Rivera, and Naya never said that. with Ariana’s early boyfriend, Jai Brooks, he was already very bitter and basically proclaimed that he wanted to ruin her reputation after their breakup so he made up fake stories about her cheating on him.

The issue I have with this is not only the bias, it’s the way there have been multiple news reports about this, and she’s saying “I don’t believe it until it’s confirmed,” when she has believed many other stories with only one or two sources. The Taylor swift and Matty Healy thing she talked about had way less and she believed it, and the Selena Hailey Bieber stuff was a lot of text receipts and twitter dms that were speculative at best. Olivia fan here! But I was so bummed to see that there was basically no talk about her looong history doing this. Are we not gonna talk about Mac & Nomi and Cazzie & Pete AND Big Sean & Naya? This is the FOURTH long-term relationship she has been tied to the downfall of! Considering Olivia's admission to being a big fan of both Ariana and Colleen, I'm surprised she's describing their relationship as "friendly." They are good friends, maybe even best friends. They've known each other for years - their families are friends - and there's videos of them together in personal and working context. Colleen even mentioned Ariana in her original pregnancy announcement video and then she was in 'Thank You, Next" as a main character. They are way more than "friendly."

For whatever it's worth. And I know you can't believe the comment section. But I live pretty close to where they used to film that show Scream Queens and had close friends that worked on various levels of the production and filming. From their stories, I've always looked at Ariana as a cruel person, and I forget that not everyone knows the sorts of ridiculous demands and hissy fits she'd throw and just how expansive and diligent her team is in pampering that persona. Once you see it, the polished persona she presents makes too much sense.

I’m not really surprised. It seems most people at that level of fame and money is surrounded by yes-people and are very self absorbed because so many admire them. I think Olivia has very strong parasocial relationships with some of these famous people especially ones she grew up with (she talks about Selena the same way). I’ve been jaded about famous people for a long time bc there have been so many stories like yours

Olivia is being soo annoying lately. It's because of people like her why victims will never be believed. It's only believe the victims when it's about someone you don't idolise. Saying I don't believe it until more stuff comes out is crazy. It's like she won't believe it unless Ariana comes out and says "I'm a home wrecker " and actually talks about all the things she's done; which will never happen. This is why the victims of Michael Jackson will always get hate because of the lack of "proof". Same why Amber Heard got so much abuse from Depp fans who worship him. Thank goodness there's people like Hila on the podcast to keep things in check. These PowerPoints are also annoying because she does them about people she idolises and she's obviously going to be biased. She probably only believed the stuff about Colleen because of the pictures of Trisha that were put out. I bet it would have been a different PowerPoint if not... She even still had the bell notification on Colleen's channel when she put out the apology video. Dan also called her out saying Colleen's career will never fully end because of people like Olivia who will always watch her videos because she worships certain celebrities. Olivia saying she'll watch her video on Reddit so not to give her views was her trying to be funny because she knows Dan was right. So even with Colleen she's still not with the victims fully. And like you do you but don't claim you are always with the victims when you're clearly not. And she always makes it about her. On the video about Colleen’s apology she was like I was so upset when this all came out and I was so embarrassed like girl I don’t care how you felt. I care about Adam, Oliver, Becky and Johnny the ACTUAL victims. And now she’s doing it again about Ariana 😒 I wish Sam and Lena got as much screen time as Olivia. I really love hearing their takes and inputs They're a lot more level-headed and I think their PowerPoints would be unbiased.

@@elinafina I know it’s mad like because Olivia has always been my least favourite member but it was fine because everyone had screen time but lately it’s all about Olivia. I’ve noticed Zach and Ab don’t talk as much anymore and Sam, Lena and Ian hardly ever. I miss when everyone got to talk. I was so excited when they were gonna talk about Colleen and Ariana because I didn’t know a lot about it but then when I saw it was an Olivia Powerpoint I was like here we go 🙃 All aboard the toxic bias train! 😂 I want to hear everyone’s opinions that’s the point of having a crew. And a lot of things she says are cringe and incorrect. It needs to be more balanced. And sadly it’s been like this for a while...

This powerpoint was really bad compared to the other ones she's made. The whole representation was biased because Olivia likes Ariana and because of that she omitted a lot of details which show without a doubt how much in the wrong Ariana is, as well as her having a track record of doing similar stuff in the past.

Just because she’s a fan doesn’t mean she agrees with what Ariana did. In fact, she specifically and explicitly says what Ariana did, was horrible and evil. Just because she mentioned she’s a fan doesn’t mean it’s automatically biased if she disagrees with what was done. Also, you’re right she didn’t include every detail of Ariana’s life. So that makes it a bad PowerPoint? 😂

Putting your body through the strain of childbirth and then successfully having a literal newborn to now be devoted to for the next almost 2 decades, but then your partner in that commitment just betraying you for sexual excitement with another woman *that you know** and **smiled into your newborn’s face** at multiple instances, is a literal nightmare. Ariana let me down hardcore with this one… Even if the “best case scenario” of it all was that I had a coworker and we both had divorces, if he had a newborn with his ex that I’ve looked into the eyes of at point, I wouldn’t be able to date them in good conscience. Especially so quickly after it all.

RIGHT. I laughed when Olivia got visibly upset and quickly rushed to say "yeah a lot of girls do that, its normal to date a lot of people" brushing over the fact that, yeah there's normal people, and there's Ariana Grande who's dating history is literally famous on its own!!! Dan was so right and they just talked over him like he was being sexist xD save that for someone who deserves it, not a terrible human being like ariana lmfao

This is a total side note, but I really appreciate that the crew doesn’t make fun of one another for not knowing something (i.e. Hila not knowing about wicked the musical). I know they rib each other a lot, but it’s nice to see everyone be so comfortable asking questions even if it’s common knowledge for others.

Maybe when the subject of the drama is too close to home causing bias and missed/ignored information, other people can give it a shot. I think Sam would kill doing a couple of these ppts, or even bring back Ian every once in a while.

I hope Olivia can come out and apologize for trying to gloss over the situation and stop trying to excuse her. She isn’t a “girls girl” as she would want her to be. Hila was an absolute boss for siding with the victim of the situation. Regardless of Olivia’s stance on Ariana Grande she had to say things as is for everybody on the team to know. That’s her job on the podcast.
