It can be so very stressful the last 10 years of my life. I had a pack of eight Cane Corsos .. half of them were rescues, neglected, and abused .. there were times that I was so mentally exhausted and constant fighter flight but eventually I made it work all the dogs live together we all slept together in the same bed it was amazing .. oh it really really emotionally take a toll on a person. I completely understand his tears.

Dog Daddy, more of these long-form videos please! I watched you in person. Not only can you train dogs, you are absolutely fantastic at explaining what you are doing and teaching owners skills to handle their dogs. It would be great to see even longer form versions than shown here. The short-form videos are fantastic! But that just scratches the surface of what it’s like to see you in person. The fact that you can explain what you are doing and also teach the owners is equally impressive as your direct skills with the dogs. I think a lot of viewers would watch and benefit from seeing videos that show complete interactions from the time you start with the dog, what you say to owners, etc. Watching you do those things live in person has been one the highlights of my life. Go Dog Daddy!!!!

Meeting fearful, aggressive, out of control dogs with calm, confident determination and a refusal to accept a dog is "un-fixable" is why the Dog Daddy stands apart from the "hot-dog and treats" trainers... I was SO EXCITED to finally get a chance to go to a training session and meet Augusto for the first time! The 7+ hour drive was more than worth it, even as a spectator!!! I would do it again in a heartbeat! I was one of the first people to arrive at the location and got to see everyone as they showed up with their dogs, so I got to see first hand how all the dogs acted before the training and then see how much they improved after. I was an avid supporter before going, but after being there seeing his kindness and patience with the dogs and their owners and how gently but firmly he handles the dogs, I am 100% team Dog Daddyy all the way!!!! Every time he took over the leash, in moments, it was night and day difference for every single dog!!! Even after he handed the leash back to the owners, they were immediately able to have far more control than when they arrived. It was totally amazing!!! I loved how he explained every step of the process as he worked with each animal and gave teaching pointers for each situation. If you ever get a chance to go, it is MORE than worth it, even if you are just watching! I am SO thankful I was able to go and see for myself how amazing Augusto is with the animals and how gentle and kind he is as a person! What makes that even more impressive is that he was still so kind and patient, even after being out in the sun and heat for hours with no breaks, so that all of the dogs had a chance to be worked with. (Augusto, I see and appreciate how much you care and sacrifice to help dogs and their owners! Thank you SO MUCH and keep up the good work!! You are making a difference! It isn't going unnoticed.) If you ever come back for training to Minneapolis (or hopefully someplace closer) I will absolutely be going again! Thank you Augusto!!!! It was a pleasure to finally meet you!

Take notes from several trainers. He specializes in calming aggressive and fear aggressive dogs. These are not training techniques for, say, fence fighting, or problem barking at home. These do not train bite restraint or bite control. The more different problems you can find a golden solution to, the better. What's amazing about him is that, in training out the fear or aggression, he's also leash training them by making them listen to his suggestions, following where he's going instead of where they just want to go.

Heyo! I’m the “backwards hat” guy/“yellow shirt” guy, as I’ve seen myself labeled in the comments 😂My name is Alex, my dogs name is Ripple. He’s a three year old lab mix (just had his birthday Aug 11th 🎉). He was born during the pandemic and thus was never properly socialized, and then was left in a shelter for months. Around now marks 3 months that I’ve had him, and it’s been a challenge getting him to walk past other dogs and people. But learning what I did from The Dog Daddy, I’m much more confident that he’s gonna be alright. Ripple definitely wants to make friends with other dogs, he just doesn’t know how. But we’ll get there. 😊 The one thing I totally forgot to ask about while I was there - sometimes when Ripple sees another dog from a distance, and I try to lead him away, he sits and cries and acts like he WANTS to go up to the other dog, but then when we get closer he goes back to barking/growling/lunging like in the video ^. Any tips? Or just keep working with what you taught us at the session? Thanks again for all your help. 😊❤

@@filippak502 according to dog behaviour experts. People who make a living studying dog behavior and psychology, unanimously agree that these methods used by the Dog Daddy not only causes them distress but increase the likelyhood of further aggression in the future. They call these methods yank and crank methods and they are outdated and causes psychological trauma to dogs. There is no way you can help an aggressive dog in minutes and have long lasting results. Dogs who show aggressive tendency have underlying causes for their aggression, and DD's doesn't do anything to address that. I know that it's hard when your dog is aggressive and you don't know what to do about it. But the Dog Daddy is nothing but a snakeoil salesmen. No one can cure an aggressive dog in minutes. It takes work and as expensive as it is, behavior veterinarians are your best bet. These people deal with the most aggressive dogs and try to rehabilitate them using methods that's backed by science.

A further point I'd like to discuss is a personal anecdote. My last dog I had, I was taught to use advesive methods to train a dog. I was recommended E collars, I was told you need to scold and punish your dog if they do bad, be the Alpha. The results got me a half obedient dog who was more anxious than not. Her bond with me was never strong despite how much I loved her. She died last year crossing the road. When I decided to get a new dog, I found Zak George on KZread and learned about positive reinforcement theory, and realized two things, it was easier to get the dog to do what I wanted. And her bond with me was stronger than any bond I've had with previous dogs, in order of magnitudes. Yes it takes more time to train with positive reinforcement, but the results are way better long term.

I understand that "jerking the dog" seems upsetting to some people, but dogs needs a confident owner. You're letting the dog know that biting and struggling will not scare you. It's tough love.
