This makes me think about modern society, people going around creating the impression they are on top and everything’s going great, fool others into the same behaviours and in actual fact most folk haven’t got a clue what they are doing and are all crying inside because their life’s a mess. It started in the 80s when it was as good as forbidden to tell kids their schoolwork was not good enough - everyone was getting A grades no matter what. End result was kids leaving school unable to read or write but worse, thinking they were Einstein as they never experienced failure or heard the truth about their shortcomings. It had to end in tears.

Hi guys, this is one of the main reasons why I can’t lie. I just can’t. My close friends and loved ones know I can’t lie. If I do try to lie, I go red in the face and I can’t speak properly so it’s best that I don’t also for my self conscience. Well done to the 2nd guy. If that was me, I would have gone in hard on her. people dont understand the "how did you get a hold of the accounts?" question. companies house only has micro entity accounts which just shows the balance sheet, and the rolling p&l account balance. Not the years profits. So it's quite limited. It doesnt have revenue, gross profit or anything. I think she was surprised at the fact that claude as the full account showing turnover, cos of sales etc. I still dont know what claude has, perhaps part of going on the show, they sign a waiver saying the show can get hold of the full accounts from somewhere which isn't supposed to be accessible by members of the public.

An example in Australia is they all get to travel on the PM's plane with him, yes they pay for the seats, economy price, for first class seats. You should see the Press Rooms at Parliament House, we are talking 5 star hotel levels. ... or would you rather be reporting in the rain on the local football club's latest mascot ... Start asking hard questions to Politicians and see where you end up ...
The sudden mood change from bubbly to stern when he says "I don't know how honest you are" was so sudden it was psychotic
Claude is an excellent interviewer. He's accurate and to the point. Don't BS Claude, he clearly knows his shit and has many years of experience.
A classic case of "If you can't astound 'em with your intellect, baffle 'em with your bulls**t"
I used to work at Yasmina's dad's restaurant's in Kidderminster and Walsall back in 95-97. She used to come and do a bit of waitressing work. Had such a shock when I saw her appear on the show
Smart to say she enjoyed the interview with Claude even if the body language didn’t match. Let the others worry when they find theirs does not go so well and put pressure on them.

This makes me think about modern society, people going around creating the impression they are on top and everything’s going great, fool others into the same behaviours and in actual fact most folk haven’t got a clue what they are doing and are all crying inside because their life’s a mess. Just a big facade to try and impress others 😑

That was really good, enjoyable, really nice man 😂😂😂😂

It is his job in the interviews to grill the contestants, as the way they react shows if they have the mettle to succeed in the business world.
How was he? “Very good, nice man”. That was a bigger lie than her 4.5% whatever 😂😂
Claude disarms her when he tells her he thinks it looks like a nice restaurant and that he'll like to visit it. She smiles and lets down her guard before he drops the bomb on her. 🥴
I love how he goes what does turnover mean and she says well it’s how much we turnover, ah yes every 60 seconds in Africa a minute passes
I don’t think any of the other candidates believed her, they’re reaction was like “yeah whatever” 😂

Not knowing your company accounts are public documents is indefensible. That lack of awareness would likely have ruled her out for me there and then.
This is what happens when a person that lives her own bullshit is called out to face the lies but simply can’t
Claude is a BADASS!!!
If you’re lying to my face, how can I trust you? The trust was broken before it even began.
Love knowing everyone is actually just clueless
Can you tell me what colour a red bus is? Yes of course I can. It's blue....ummm.....green...hmmmm....
2:15 The accounts don’t show the real turnover because she ain’t declaring all the money 🤑
To be fair to Claude. I do look at the financial accounts for most companies I get interviewed for. There's nothing like being able to recite the companies turnover, outstanding debt etc to people interviewing you. Every single time, it's always gone down well.

Claude is that interrogator you bring in when at else fails! Suspect: _"I'm innocent I tell ya...!"_ Claude: _"Innocent? Well that's nonsense isn't it?"_ Suspect: _"I'm..."_ Claude: _"Not guilty...? Well you should know that more than me...!"_
I can imagine her closing the door on her way out of the interview & saying to herself “Right, that settles that then 😀”
Nobody in the real world interviews aggressively like Claude Littner, but then again no-one in the real world is that woefully unprepared in an interview.
“oh”
Moral of the story. If you are going to be in business learn the language of business and accounting and don’t misrepresent. Even an “I don’t know at this time or I’m unsure at this time will get you a long way despite being viewed as un prepared.
my theory is she does do 400000 but she includes vat ,that would be about 340k plus vat!
This is me and any time any teacher would talk to me in school.
The worst bit was that she felt the need to lie and say it was good to the others. That says more about her character than the fact she didn’t know her accounts
That was brutal

people dont understand the "how did you get a hold of the accounts?" question. companies house only has micro entity accounts which just shows the balance sheet, and the rolling p&l account balance.

You could say "I am probably talking nonsense but I hope you understand what I mean." hahahaha
I knew the father of this lady, actually remember the day she was born in Hull, her father had a very successful restaurant there, her father was stranger with the truth as well.!!!😂
She is just a compulsive liar and even when she was confronted she kept trying to lie her way out of it. Then going back out to the other people and continuing the lies. She was only right about one thing and that the guy probably is a nice guy but just not towards liars. He would probably be nice to someone who was genuine and didn't lie about their achievements.
When he touches his head he knows he has got her 😂🤣

I thought that her £370k estimate might have been spot on but because she hesitated Claude still decided to have a go at her, but nope. If you look up her statements for the year in question it was £270k turnover, so Claude was entirely fair.
