Almost definitely time related powers. Kayo and Yoru both have unresolved time related issues. The number 8 looks like an infinity sign. I wouldn’t be surprised if they did come with the replay system all jokes aside. Some sort of rewind power like Ekko.

they are not really edging it tho since they are not talk about them its been years and we only get couple of very little things the biggest thing we get is the new Clove voiceline and thats all also maybe they never make agent 8 a playable character it can be a character that just exist in the lore

I think the missing agent 8 locker in omega is more stating that they don't exist in omega, might be that agent 8 has some lore related to them not having a copy in omega and the reason they aren't appearing is that ether omega 8 is in some form of hiding (maybe covert) and they're trying to keep tabs on them or that the mystery about a lacking omega counterpart is an important secret

My theory on why Omega doesnt have an 8 locker is because Agent 8’s locker has been scratched out and he’s been “erased from history” which means that omega doesn’t really have a reason to have that 8 locker. BUT this might be an advantage for Alpha because we know Agent 8 is alive and does exist, so perhaps Alpha will have 1 extra agent over Omega

Probably no. If Agent 08 will be ever added to the game, Omega will 100% have the agent. I propose that just to make a little difference from Alpha world, RIOT decided to indicate that Omega world decided to get rid of the agent's locker maybe because of some kinda hatred. There is a chance that Agent 08 betrayed Valorant in Omega world somehow, and maybe he got expelled unlike in Alpha world, I don't know

The theory I have is agent 8 is a time traveling radiant, which given how complex time is, may explain why Omega doesn't have an Agent 8.

However, going off my theory of time travel, it could be Agent 8 in Omega simply hasn't joined yet and *maybe* they do something in Omega that rewrites the past when they join the protocol so it means they become Agent 8 then if that makes sense.

Maybe agent 8 are the friends we made along the way

Did you guys noticed that in some agent voicelines they mention something about "being a hero"? for Pheonix he says "Easy mate, there can only be one hero." in a kind of a sad tone, Yoru says "You tried to be a hero. Great job.", viper says "You wanted to be a hero, didn't you?", skye says "We move as a unit, okay? Last thing I need is some hero messing things up.". This feels like a stretch but I feel like agent 08 tried to become that "hero" back then, and they faced the consequences because of it. idk just a theory of mine

I have a bit of a crazy theory, maybe agent 8 is lucia, reynas sister,and, maybe the reason she hasn't returned is because she is in some type of "coma" after some incident that dameged her own soul, and the reason that clove dosent know that she is agent 8(seems like she knows lucia to a personal level) is because is a secret that only old agents know(agents before agent 8), with the exeption of reyna, as lucia is her sister, and the reason viper is so inclined to help reyna is because she is somewhat involved in lucias(agent 8) accident.

Sage being after agent 8 in legion could imply that agent 8 is died in that universe where as alphas sage being recruited before 8 could mean he was brought back.

Omen is still on voyage from Edinburgh. Maybe we're gettinf close to agent 8. What if they're related to the base Clove talks about in the new update? We know for sure the new 5v5 map will be coming next act with the internal name "Descent". Also alternate earth doesn't have locker 8. Meaning there will be lot of lore pieces we might get in E9 and E10 as we had Omen's origin in E8A1 which was theorised since E1A1. Also we know for sure that all upcoming pieces temporarily will have to do with Iso's organisation called Scions of Hourglass. So we'll probably know about Agent 8

Whoever agent 8 was, I'm sure Riot is going to make their backstory dark af. I'd imagine them being some kind of Jean Grey or Andrew from Chronicle where they either sacrificed themselves or they went insane and had to be put down.

maybe riot is pulling an arcane and making a valorant show with agent 8 as the protagonist, with them being added to the game when the show's out

If there was a replay system, we could have rewatched the Valorant rosters and check who agent 8 was.

Agent 8 having no counterpart because they’re just that powerful is such a cool idea

8 is also the only number that's the same when you flip it 1 is sometimes the same in some fonts but it has that little thing so it isnt I suppose 0 is as well, but i dont think theres going to be an agent 0, or at least i dont think it will be one for a very long time

every time i hear agent 8 i exclusively think about splatoon

Perhaps the locker scenario might be different in omega and alpha because agent 8 might have departed from the protocol in different ways in both worlds, so in Omega earth, they decided to remove their locker, as for alpha earth, they kept it, but scratched out the 8 and deactivated the lock. but theres no way to really know what way that happened since we have no info. I did think it could be possible that agent 8 died in omega earth so they decided to remove their locker to erase their existence but it wouldn't make sense for them to come back afterwards even if they were still alive on alpha earth, because both teams would be able to play the agent. Strange.

I really hope Agent 8 has time based powers! Maybe a recall type ability like tracer from overwatch! I'm so excited for them! Hopefully we get them soon.

imagine a story rpg about the lore of valorant.. like a mass effect but in the valorant world.

Maybe agent 8 exists only in alpha that could be why there was no number 8 locker. And possibly omega's contact with alpha caused space and time related problems for them. sort of like Yoru's abilities

The reason omega's locker is not there could imply that they were meant to get their number added when they arrived however they either didn't have time or were gone before they had the chance so they ended up putting up 9 instead (just a theory not implying btw)

I have to theories for agent 8. Either they joined forces with omega earth and were therefore removed from the protocol or they are on a recon spy type mission and if they kept agent 8's information it could result in his/her position being compromised

The updated lore about Omen 5 months ago makes that theory impossible.

my personal theory is that agent 8 is either omen while he was human or just someone who left the vp and then hired iso to kill omen for some reason the reason why i think agent 8 was the person who hired iso is because when iso was talking to his boss they had an hour glass symbol as their "pfp" and that resembles the number 8 really just a reach tho

My theory for agent 8: a middle-man between alpha and omega earth, like chamber helping each other during fracture as a temporary truce. Agent 8 would not have a side and would be only 1 person, not having a version for each earth.

is nobody gonna talk about reyna and gekko's voice line in which reyna say's that gekko remind her of someone

my theory is that agent 8 is an initiator based on info or scouting and is prob doing a spy job or something of the sorts for the V protocol and the reason no one reveals anything about his where abouts or what he is doing is to make sure that he doesn't get discovered!

I would like if agent 8’s power is a time travel/time loop as of right now agent 8 is dead but comes later in the lore as they aren’t dead then so agent 8 died at some points in past but was doing missions in the future before they died in the past.

My theory is that any number in the Valorant protocol that is dividable by 8 are the chosen ones or maybe the ones they’ve met. Maybe they could be enemies or friends. I have no idea but Astra and ISO might have connections with number 8

Scratched out locker number implies Agent 8's departure is recent enough that this is their short-term solution. Removing the plaque and moving everyone's locker down by one implies Agent 8's departure happened a while ago.

Well either it’s time and a new agent and it’s unpredictable or it is a defector from another earth who betrayed both legion and protocol (as two different versions probably)

Btw in the new console Announce trailer at the end you can actually see a unknown agent, maybe 08 ??? at 1:52 on that video

Personally, I wouldn’t mind if agent 8 was a rogue member of the protocol that just took it too far on a mission and was terminated. Maybe they’ll come back for a little team up and shake up the team a little

You know I just thought of a theory. There is an interesting one off line from Cypher to Sova: "Sova, I accessed your background file, a good story! But that's not really how you lost your eye." One of the more interesting parts about Valorant is Sage's healing. She can literally heal any kind of injury, and resurrect a person after anything. Except for Omen, who is somewhat in between living and dying, and Deadlock, which refused treatment for her arm. The thing is Deadlock has some weird after effect from the bear bite which you can clearly see in both cinematics she appeared. She refused regrowing her arm, because it would nullify the sacrifice of her sisters, in her words. I wonder why didn't Sova regrow his eye? Yeah, the cybernetics available through it are useful, but he is a marksman, why not have two good eyes? In Fade's cinematic he has a clear fear of going blind, which means his eye with cybernatics cannot be just removed to allow for the normal eye to regrow with Sage's healing. That makes me wonder if Sova's eye injury is similar in nature to Omen's. The theory is: Sova is agent 6, Sage is 7. Sova once met his counterpart. For some reason the most recent missions include most recently added agents. In the beginning of the timeline Phoenix worked alone for some reason, completely uninformed. Viper has a line about Sage failing her, which is commonly regarded as referring to Omen, but considering Sage joined the protocol later, and could never affect Omen's situation in time, does not make sense. My theory is this: Sova, Sage and Eight were sent on a mission to do something very important, but encountered Omega Sova and maybe somebody else. There was a fight, were Alpha Sova's eye was irreversibly damaged, and Alpha Eight lost, with Omega Sova getting away. This is Sage's failure, and Sova's sacrifice. This information is locked to everybody, and does not appear on Sova's file. Just like Eight themself. Who Eight was? Where did they go? Unknown. But there was a pretty big hole in Valorant's lore and I think they fit into it nicely. Also i am sleepy so sorry for any typos :P

Hear me out, they were just so smart that they somehow harvested yoru's cloning powers or something to clone earth. After that, they created the new valorant protocol. This is why the is scratched out and eventually removed. Because the rest of the team used their locker as a punching wall.

maybe agent 8 knowed something about the omega earth of his double maybe the doubled wanted to control alpa earth agent 8 and he knowed so maybe he can time maniplate and made everyone forget about him but he could not destroy everything so he locked him and his double in a locker and new agents like iso clove harbour was giveing attension to it cause they didt know maybe it would be them saveing agent 8

I've got a wierd thought that agent 8 is the riot's underrdog in case valorant flops... An agent that they can reveal slowly, in an emergency, or to boost an aspect of the game when the game struggles.
