I don't think she's mute, but speaks Octoling language while 3 speaks Inkling language. So they use sign language when communicating.

Apparently it's name is Hoover!! Agent 3 kept it because they found it broken and felt sorry for it, so now they have it as a pet! It can't suck up ink, and agent 3 loves it! :DD

This was perfect! Eight using Sign language, made it more wholesome than I've expected. The ending from into the light when they became friends, good gravy that still has me in tears(Joyful ones). But, I have to mostly say poor eight, being told to un-intentionally *Bleep* off, and being misunderstood in general. I can't wait for a moment where they actually hug at a prime moment.(of Wholesomeness.) ❤💚💛💙💖

Imagine if this was uploaded on Valentine's Day tho. Still, real wholesome vid here.

This comic was as precious as our four idols. This wasn’t just a heart warmer, this gave my heart a fluffy sweater, a pair of fuzzy socks, and a cup of hot chocolate by a cozy fireplace, especially the first one. Ayano’s dorky shyness is hilarious, adorable and often times relatable, I also love how she talked in text language, that was cute and hilarious, especially when she said “Heart emoji” Medori is funny too. I also find he voice pretty soothing to listen to as well. She just seems like the cool squid you’d talk to just need to vent about your day and you just need a confidence booster. I also like how she said “You love heavy metal”, I was just like “OUCH! That’s gotta hurt” I also think the umbrella comic was the cutest one, you know what they say, “A small act of kindness goes a long way”. If it’s okay to say, I ship Agent 24 platonically, they just seem like a very adorable pair of friends. But I’m not against anyone who ships them romantically, I can also imagine them being friends who secretly like each other. ❤️💚🦑🐙 I do feel bad for Ayumi though. She may be Agent 4, but most of the time she’d often end up being the third wheel. But she’s so cool, funny. energetic enthusiastic and according to Marie, pretty adorable, you’d be MAD to not like her. But I’m glad they do think of her I loved this so much 💗💚💖💙

2:15 Probably the most relatable moment for me in this entire video. I would read some girl's message wrong and realize later what was actually said and be like, "...why am I so dumb?"

Here is something very dynamic that should be added to Splatoon in the future, if you're playing as an Inkling the background of the loading screen should be squids going up however if you're playing as an Octoling then the background will change into octopuses going up! 🐙🦑 You should also be able to change the color of your background to any color you like.

As someone learning sign language you would be surprised how easy it is accidentally swear

In all honesty, who doesn't love seeing a wholesome scene of Agent 24 with a mute Agent 8? I especially love this for a few reasons; one, I, myself, am learning ASL (I don't know anyone who is deaf or mute, but learning it is a lot of fun) and seeing this is really cute, and two, after picking up a little bit on RWBY (thanks to RWBY Chibi), I've also, similar to most of the entire FNDM, got really attached to the Silent Silencer, Neopolitan, and I've read a few fanfics where she can communicate through Sign Language, aside from using facial expressions, her semblance, or these Wile E. Coyote picket signs that has her thoughts written on them (I don't much care for the ones where she actually has a voice, though it would be cool if she did speak, I still need to brush up on my Sign).

I love this so much with the Manaton/Sign Language as I can do basic alphabet and a few phrases and Iv never seen a Comic Dub do this :) This makes me happy and a Sub

1:58 I had a moment like this in middle school once. Someone gave me the usual sign, with the thumb, pinky, and pointer finger, but me being the idiot I am, my brain jumped to spider man, since that's the symbol he uses when he shoots webs. It clicked just after I walked away.
