Honestly, I think the Expanded Edition (On Steam) is good enough that a remaster isn’t necessary, the gameplay holds up pretty well and the art style (while indeed primitive by today’s standards) still feels timeless and iconic.

dude cool it with this crap. Why buy the same game again? for the visuals? if they're good enough to warrant a whole new purchase, it's a different enough game to turn me off playing it. Its no longer AOM at that point. If they're not good enough, then the effort is wasted. It's a stupid dilemma, but people buy remasters thinking they're playing the game on the label and they're not.

Wow the nostalgia, I remember playing this what 16 years ago in primary school

I just replayed this game, it's amazing. I have the Spanish version (Latin American), I think that the voices are more fitting. Amanra's voice has no accent but it's soft, deep, and solemn. Ajax's voice is raspy but playful since he is supposed to be impulsive and bad-mannered in comparison to the others. Still, im amy language, this game is mesmerizing. I'm not sure if it is a happy or a sad ending. I mean, Arkantos now has to continue serving a cause for the eternity as a half god, and he may not be able to spare his son the military life. He will never be able to rest. But he was more than deserving of inmortality as a god.

Latin american version is much better indeed, my bet is that the original english voice lines are made by the devs, which was really common at the time the game was made, but translations were most likely done by professionals.

There's a glitch in the extended edition where you can't see Atlantis being destroyed in the cutscene.

How early is this? Because in my playthroughs Gargarensis always destroy my allies.

If you take a long, long painful time you can manage to save them. It isn't granted though. Or you could go for the meteor flood.

+ THE ORIGINAL Age of Mythology and just I think, I am not sure, the Titans is harder the campaign. Play everything through with titan everything and you will know.
