    From Mohammad's own words when he was asked about whom to marry as he was riding a camel, "Marry young girls so you can play with them". Either Mohammad plays with dolls, pees like a girl and wear girls clothes, (which is weird), or it's a different kind of play.

    Why was she playing with dolls? Because the prophet (pbuh) came to visit her father often. Come on people. Stop gossipping about private matters like sex. They did this when she lost her necklace. Don't let the hypocrites who love to gossip make you continue this behaviour. Mind your business.

    Sahih Bukhari 5133, Narrated `Aisha: that the Prophet (ﷺ) married her when she was six years old and he consummated his marriage when she was nine years old, and then she remained with him for nine years (i.e., till his death). 'Aisha when she was a girl of six years of age, and he consumed that marriage when she was nine years old. (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Volume 5, Book 58, Number 236) As for whether a child of 9 yrs is physically or mentally capable of a sexual relationship, I would like to bring to your attention this article. Average Height to Weight Chart -Female Babies to Teenagers Conclusion: 9 yrs av weight 62.0 lb (28.1 kg), av height 52.5" (133.3 cm) 20 yrs av weight 128.0 lb (58.0 kg) av height 64.3" (163.3 cm) The difference in weight between a 20yr woman and 9 yr girl = 29.9 kg, 65.9 lb The difference in height between a 20 yr woman and a 9 yr girl = 30cm, 11.8” What does this info mean? The average 9yr old girl is NOT ready for sex, why? She has not developed into an adult physically and mentally. Tell us why does a man marry a woman? 1/ Because he falls in love? 2/ Because he finds her personality to his liking and likes talking and discussing with her, companionship? 3/ Because he wants to have a family? The truth is Muhammad could not do any of these things with Aisha, why? Because she was a child, too young for love, too young for companionship, to young to have a family So why did Muhammad want a 9 yr old bride? Could it be he was a pedophile? There have always been men marrying very young girls, yes that’s right. But keep in mind that Muhammad is said to be the perfect example for all Muslim men to follow and it is discovered that he was, a pedophile. Hence millions of young girls are married and raped at an early age within Islam. This is the legacy of the Muhammad-Aisha marriage. It is wildly inappropriate for a 53yr old man to be in a sexual relationship with a 9-year-old girl.

    I think a video on the concept of “cousin marriage” should be addressed. This is another objection non-muslims make against Islam to make it seem “backwards” and “primitive”.

  • @MohammadQasim

    @MohammadQasim

    Жыл бұрын

    Answer to that is pretty simple. Islam for example allows sugar. Too much will result in diabetes health problems etc. Likewise cousin marriage when its One-off consanguineous relationship it leads to a slight increase in the risk of genetic defects. As the incidence of many of these defects is very low anyway, the absolute risk still remains low. Since risk is low its permissable. If it is continuous then its not recommended in islam.Imam Ghazali (citing Sayyidina Umar, no less) have cautioned against excessiveness in this - precisely because it ‘weakens the offspring.’ [Ghazali: Ihya XII]

    @@MohammadQasim Islam has a very serious problem; it has told so many Iies that it is tangled in its own Iies. Islam is controlled by Scholars whose job is to perpetuate Islam and to back up Muhammad. After Mo’s demise, the Islamic scholars had to sell Islam to the new generations; the thought of their prophet being very unsavoury was not a good selling point. Hence Mo needed some good public relations. Mo had already set the stage for this; his Koran is salted with constant references to his excellent moral character. One of the verses recited in the five daily prayers extols Mo’s excellence. The scholars simply built on these so-called good points and embellished them until Mo was perfect, the best man to have ever lived. With the 1000s of scholars working tirelessly for centuries compounding deception upon deception, we now have a religion that firmly floats on a rafter of deception. They cherry-picked only the ahadith that say positive things, and fabricated many. Now that we have access to the ahadith, we see the true Mo; this has sent their scholars into a frenzy of covering up, twisting, and bending the truth, and sadly, the average Muslim is deceived. The blind fanaticism of Islam continues. Mo’s vices are hidden that deep in the deceit of Islam that they no longer exist. The problem these modern scholars have is that they rely 100% on what former scholars have fabricated, they never think to go back to the authentic sources and do a critical deep dive. Hence Islam is left with the blind leading the blind.

And in a case where the childless husband of a girl three years and one day old dies, if his brother the yavam engages in intercourse with her, he acquires her as his wife; and if she is married, a man other than her husband is liable for engaging in intercourse with her due to violation of the prohibition against intercourse with a married woman. And if she is impure due to menstruation, she imparts impurity to one who engages in intercourse with her who then renders impure all the layers of bedding beneath him, rendering them impure like the upper bedding covering a zav, in the sense that it assumes first-degree ritual impurity and does not become a primary source of ritual impurity, and it renders impure food and drink, but it does not render impure people and vessels. If she marries a priest, she may partake of teruma, like any other wife of a priest; if she is unmarried and one of the men who are unfit for the priesthood, e.g., a mamzer or ḥalal, engaged in intercourse with her, he disqualifies her from marrying into the priesthood, and if she is the daughter of a priest, she is disqualified from partaking of teruma. Finally, if one of all those with whom relations are forbidden, as stated in the Torah, e.g., her father or her husband’s father, engaged in intercourse with her, they are executed by the court for engaging in intercourse with her, and she is exempt, because she is a minor. If the girl is less than that age, younger than three years and one day, the status of intercourse with her is not that of intercourse in all halakhic senses; rather, it is like placing a finger into the eye. Historical analysis of the novel: 1. Calculating the age of Lady Aisha in relation to her sister Asma bint Abi Bakr (also known as Asma with the Two Waistbands): All the aforementioned historical sources unanimously state that Asma was older than Aisha by 10 years. These sources also consistently report that Asma was born 27 years before the migration to Medina, which means she was 14 years old when the Prophet's mission began in the year 610 CE. This calculation is based on subtracting 13 years (the period of the Prophet's preaching in Mecca) from her age before the migration (27 - 13 = 14 years). Since all sources confirm that Asma was 10 years older than Aisha, it can be deduced that Aisha was 4 years old when the Prophet's mission began in Mecca. This means she was born 4 years prior to the commencement of the revelation, which was in the year 606 CE. Based on this simple calculation, it is evident that when the Prophet married Aisha in Mecca during the tenth year of his mission, she was 14 years old (4 + 10 = 14 years). In other words, Aisha was born in the year 606 CE, and she married the Prophet in the year 620 CE when she was 14 years old. As mentioned, the consummation of their marriage took place three years later, a few months towards the end of the first year of the migration, which was in the year 624 CE.

People would die in their 30s and 40s, so it was necceray to marry young. This made them mature early. Ayesha (رضی اللہ عنھا) was a young adult, not a kid.

    4.41 This argument that - we can find no narration by someone who was a detractor of the prophet, using this issue (marrying a 6 year old, consummating with a 9 year old) to attack the Prophets credibility - might hold sway if we had ANY "narration" by ANYONE, good or bad for or against, or ANY contemporary evidence of any sort from a non Islamic source that even confirms the Prophets existence, let alone his marriage to a child.

    . ● 2) Another hadith in Al-Bukhari specifies the age of the Mother of the Believers, Aisha. Al-Bukhari (Bab - Jewar of Abu Bakr during the time of the Prophet) reported that (Aisha) said: I have never thought of my parents except when they are professing the religion, and not a day passes for us without the Messenger of God coming to us both ends of the day in the morning and the evening, and when the Muslims were afflicted, Abu Bakr went out, migrating toward Abyssinia). Then (Aisha) says that she did not understand her parents except when they were religiously professed, and that before the migration of Abyssinia as I mentioned, and she Said that the Prophet used to come to their home every day, which shows that she was rational for these visits, and what is certain is that the migration of Abyssinia was unanimous among the history books in the year (5) From the beginning of the Prophet’s mission, which corresponds to the year (615 AD), The narration that was mentioned in Sahih al-Bukhari, which indicates events that occurred before the fourth year of the mission and that Aisha (MOB) narrated, indicates that Aisha was present before the fourth year of the mission started, and not only existed, but she was at the height of her awareness and understanding, enabling her to narrate the events of a story that occurred In this way and this means: If we assume that Aisha (Mother of the believers) was at least 5 to 7 years old before the fourth year of the mission, as it's realisticly and practicly impossible. This means that her age when the Messenger Married to her in the second year of the Hijra, cannot be in any way less than 15 to 17 years at least, and this undermines the narration that says that it was 9 years old from its roots!

    Arthur Siccan Author of the Book: ‘What’s Wrong in America: A Look at Troublesome Issues in Our Country’, goes in a lot of detail on the issue of marriage at earlier times, “Traditionally, across the globe, the age of consent for sexual union was a matter for the family to decide, or a tribal custom. In most cases, this coincided with signs of puberty, menstruation for a woman and pubic hair for a man. Sir Edward Coke in 17th century England ‘made it clear that the marriage of girls under 12 was normal, and the age at which a girl who was a wife was eligible for a dower from her husband’s estate was 9. The American colonies followed the English tradition, and the law was more of a guide. For example Mary Hathaway of Virginia, was only 9 when she was married to William Williams. Portugal, Spain, Denmark and the Swiss canons, initially set the age of consent at 10-12 years and then raised it to between 13 and 16 years in the second half of the 19th century. Historically, the English common law set the age of consent to range from 10- 12. In the United States, by the 1880s, most states set the age of consent at 10-12, and in one state Delaware, the age of consent was only 7. Social and resulting legal attitudes toward the appropriate age of consent have drifted upwards in modern times. For example while ages from 10 to 13 were typically acceptable in Western countries during the mid-19the century, the end of the 19th century and beginning of the 20th century were marked by changing. I believe that a lot of our current mores come from reluctance to let our children mature mentally as quickly as our bodies do. Keep in mind that not all societies share Western mores. And to my surprise, until the latter part of the 19th Century, Children in the Western nations were engaged and married at a much earlier age. The trend to give children more time to mature is relatively new. In his book, The Emphatic civilization, (Penguin, NY, 200) Jeremy Rifkin points out that the concept of adolescence only emerged during the last decade of the nineteenth century and the first three decades of the twentieth century. Society started to think of childhood as extending beyond puberty, into the later teenage years. Before that, children were considered to graduate into adulthood with the onset of puberty.”

Book 008, Number 3427: Umm Salama said to 'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her): A young boy who is at the threshold of puberty comes to you. I, however, do not like that he should come to me, whereupon 'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) said: Don't you see in Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) a model for you? She also said: The wife of Abu Hudhaifa said: Messenger of Allah, Salim comes to me and now he is a (grown-up) person, and there is something that (rankles) in the mind of Abu Hudhaifa about him, whereupon Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: Suckle him (so that he may become your foster-child), and thus he may be able to come to you (freely). Book 008, Number 3428: Zainab daughter of Abu Salama reported: I heard Umm Salama, the wife of Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon himy, saying to 'A'isha: By Allah, I do not like to be seen by a young boy who has passed the period of fosterage, whereupon she ('A'isha) said: Why is it so? Sahla daughter of Suhail came to Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) and said: Allah's Messenger, I swear by Allah that I see in the face of Abu Hudhaifa (the signs of disgust) on account of entering of Salim (in the house), whereupon Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: Suckle him. She (Sahla bint Suhail) said: He has a beard. But he (again) said: Suckle him, and it would remove what is there (expression of disgust) on the face of Abu Hudhaifa. She said: (I did that) and, by Allah, I did not see (any sign of disgust) on the face of Abu Hadhaifa. If an 18-year-old man comes to you and says he’s getting married, you’d question his decision-making skills. You’d think he’s getting married too early. Similarly, if an 18-year-old woman tells you that she’s getting married, you’d ask her to do a “reality check” and may be even discourage her by telling her she’s too young, and she should go to college or build a career. Even though 18 is the legal age most countries, no one really believes that an 18-year-old is ready for marriage! Should it be same for girls and boys? Or, should girls have a different minimum age than boys? Should the fact that girls mature earlier than boys be takin into account? Does "one size fits all" really work for determining a minimum age? In pre-modern cultures, girls would look forward to getting married and start a family. They did not see it as we see it today. They saw marriage as a benefit, not a burden like we do. That was the norm for them. And this was true in all religions, cultures, and regions of the world. The minimum age for marriage has been increasing worldwide. In all pre-modern traditional cultures, it wasn’t unusual for girls to consummate marriages between the ages of 10 and 12 and that was considered normal back then, but not today. In most modern societies, girls are highly discouraged from getting married, even at 18. Early marriage is considered bad. They’re told that education and careers are far more important and beneficial for a young woman than marriage and having children. Today, we’ve been indoctrinated into believing that it's always better for a woman to have a career and work than to have children and raise them. Women are taught to delay marriage for career. How has this impacted women, men, children and the society at large? The result is that most Western nations are in decline-population is imploding. Marriage is ruined. People are having fewer and fewer children than the previous generations. Corporations and business do not like early marriage because it’s bad for the economy. Women entering the workforce helps increase the supply of labor which in turns lowers wages. Business and corporations benefit when there are more women in the workforce. Women who work consume more and spend more. So, it’s good for business to have working women. We’re even told that it’s possible and perfectly normal for a woman to have both a career and raise children at the same time. While this may work for some, it doesn’t work for all women. Many women get burnt out trying to juggle jobs and raising kids. It's such a huge responsibility. We expect women to work like they have no kids. We expect women to have kids like they don't have a job. All this has put unrealistic demands on women. Stress, depression, and disintegration of the family. That statistics are there. It is unfair to women. Women have been tricked into believing that having a career and family are the norm. Modernity and liberalism have changed everything. Today we find early marriage shocking, but the pre-modern people lived in a very different time period. They didn’t go to schools or colleges. Liberalism has brainwashed us into rejecting early marriage. Girls are denied the freedom to marry early. Yet, girls are told they can sleep with anyone they want, have sex with anyone, “discover”, and even change their gender any time without parental consent! Liberalism is stupid, dangerous, and destructive. It’s ruining lives, families, communities, and societies. Thanks to liberalism, most Western nations are in decline-population is imploding. In pre-modern societies, girls did not care much about careers because there weren’t any to begin with. There was no vocational or job training for any jobs because girls didn’t get jobs. She had goats and cows to milk. Why won’t she get married and enjoy sex and have children? Early marriage was not only the norm, but also the most sensible and financially beneficial thing to do. That was then. Still, we have many poor villages in India and Africa where this works. As long as there’s no harm, let them do it. In the history of the world, there’s never been a universally agreed upon minimum age for marriage. Every religion or country has its own minimums. So, what’s the perfect age for marriage? What should be the minimum age? Depends on who you ask! There’s no perfect age as there’s no magic formula. People mature differently depending in their age and cultural norms. Some say minimum age of marriage should be 18 for both boys and girls. Some say 16, and some even say 12 or 14. Regardless of the number, the modern laws setting minimum age for marriage completely ignore the obvious biological fact that girls mature earlier than boys. Consequently, girls should have the legal option to be able to marry earlier than boys.

    Would you give your 6 or 9 year old daughter to a man who is in his 60s? Would you be ok with the idea of this man having intercourse with a 9 year old? Even if it was a common at the time to force girls who were around 12-14 to marry (often older) men, why didn't Islam forbid this, since the purpose of Islam was to make people better? I don't think that it's ever okay for a child to marry, and it's even worse if it's with a much older man. Based on this, we shouldn't criticise men who are marrying little girls in many countries to this day. If religion allowed it then, why not allow it now. This is really scary. I don't think that atheists/agnostics are necessarily "better" than Muslims, but I think the majority wouldn't let their 9 year old get married and engage in things that she doesn't have the maturity to even understand or consent to. Those who allow it are sick, it doesn't matter if they are Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Atheist etc.

    Yes, I would marry my daughter at that age in a heart beat. If I found a good and trustworthy man, I would marry her to him and I would be very very happy at that. Because it will ultimately lead to her best life, she will be taken care of, she will learn from that man many things, maturity, love, responsibility, spirituality, and so much more. In most times and places it is literally the best thing a person can do for their daughters to marry them as soon as possible to the best human being they can find.... We live in a very different time in the last decades now where a strange and new education system is mandatory upon all, which is very very lengthy (and expensive to the point of most becoming in massive debt undergoing it, but which can have a pay off for the very few top 1-2% of the world population. Remember this education system never existed before, the technologies we have never existed, the modern life we have with all its complicated jobs never existed before, 99+% of people didn't read or write). Now people vie with each other for careers that take long times to establish, that strangle a large portion of our time and life to acquire, and barely give us enough sustenance sometimes to live paycheck to paycheck and pay the bills. People today don't have time to build large families, and the goal of today's time is focused on career as the ultimate goal, not family building. Times have changed. There's no wrong in pursuing education and entering these careers generally speaking, but when it's a detriment to the overall moral fabric of society then we have to think about changing things because it highly discourages family, motherhood, fatherhood, and producing children, in fact it not just discourages these things now but makes it very near impossible to have a big and stable family. Just think about that. How times are different and goals are different. In the past, for all of human history, the goal was to produce the best family. In fact, it is survival to get married in the past and in the present even in many parts of the world. It's the present day reality for many poorer parts of the world to get established in a family earlier for their well being, and besides that it is also a moral and ethical desire for many people to form a family as soon as possible. People need education but they also need to become part of a family early on too, otherwise later in life becomes difficult and everything becomes much more prolonged - however there is nothing wrong in either doing it earlier or later, depending on the situation, but earlier saves one from many harms that we see in today's modern world. There is nothing perverted about getting married early. It's only the perverted modern life of the secular world that makes one think in this stranger way. People didn't think like that in the past at all.... Saying all that, Islam is clear about what makes one an adult and what doesn't - it's puberty. Simple, straightforward, clear. Once you hit puberty, you are accountable to Allah. You are a young man and woman. I remember when I was 11 years old, I was very responsible and mature, very smart. I wanted to get married early. But then the education system corrupted me and I became more immature as time went on due to the all of perversions and distractions of modern life, and the delaying of adulthood. When I was 14 I wished very badly to just go out in the world and start earning a living and doing business, but the world chained me to a useless education system and kept calling me a child. It neuters young men actually and destroys their ambition and drive. Obviously this is not true for everyone, but for so many young men this rings true. And if this is true for me and for many young men, and men mature later than young women, then what to say about the women in our society who are delaying their God given gift of bearing children and motherhood. I'm sure many young women feel brutalized by the modern system. People's perspectives need to change. Alhamdulillah for Islam that made things very clear. Puberty is the mark of adulthood. Now different times and places can adjust according to what suits their time and places best, but before puberty no one can consummate marriage. Islam put the limit on it. And is a mercy to all people and times that needed the clear definition. The modern secular liberal world has no set definition for adulthood and is offering no solutions to the very real problems of all people and all times in all different situations.

    @@gobah I'm thinking critically. Children don't suddenly become super mature the day they reach puberty. On average girls reach puberty at 11 and boys at 12, although some girls reach puberty at 8 and boys at 9. It doesn't mean that they are mature enough. They are still children. It's not a bad thing to marry young if you find the right husband or wife early but as an adult woman, I wouldn't marry a 9 or 12 year old boy. Even if they were more mature than most boys of that age, their brain won't have developed enough and I would just view it as child abuse. I guess it's easy for the family to manipulate the child and make him/her think that this is normal but a lot of child marriages create lifelong trauma. There are plenty of adults to marry. I really don't understand people who insist on marrying a 8-12 year old in some countries.

And do not consume it excessively and quickly, [anticipating] that they will grow up." - this verse clearly emphasizes mental maturity which according to biology and science happens after puberty. So it's not plausible to use secondary sources when Quran answers from a first principle. Quran 4:19 "O believers! Aisha(r.a.) married with Prophet(s.a.v.), when she was around her 18. There are several authentic hadith narrations about the age of certain woman which seems contradicting with each other. And, we can find several examples on these contradictions; 1 - Some narrations says Khadija(r.a.) was 28, some says 40, during her marriage 2 - Some narrations says Aisha(r.a.) was 9, some imply she was 17, during her marriage 3 - Some narrations says Esma(r.a.) died when she was 100, some says around 90s ... So, all these authentic hadiths seem contradicting with each other due to an old Arab tradition: in the absence of a standard calendar, Arab society took certain important events as a milestone for their life, and they referred them when they need to count years. ARAB WOMEN USED TO COUNT THEIR AGES STARTING FROM THE FIRST TIME THEY OBSERVE MENSTURATION, since that is relatively important event for their life. You can find more information, and authentic references from a book written to only address this issue; "HZ. AISE KAC YASINDA EVLENDI" by Researcher Dr. Resit Haylamaz. The argument that we should not judge historical Islam by modern standards standards just does not add up for a variety of reasons, One, if Mohammed did it and he is the perfect example for mankind in all times and places then you would think God would have directed Islam and Muhammad to ban this practice if Islam it was truly a devine revelation.... Secondly it's only in recent times that this whole age of Aisha has become a topic within Islam under pressure from the standards of the non Islamic world, nobody in the Islamic world was remotely concerned with this issues. Islam did not discover an ethical issue to be addressed here by itself by its own values, it took outsiders to address it 🙄 this should not be that hard to get, having sex with a 9 year old is just wrong!

    1. The reason why we don't judge Islam by modern standards is because we haven't been shown any objective justification for said modern standards. It's just you guys begging the question is all. 2. Muslims are moral objectivists, not moral absolutists. Wheter an action is morally right or wrong generally depends on the context in which said action took place. In the case of the Prophet's (saw) marriage to Aisha (ra) we can see that there were extenuating circumstances (i.e. low life expectancy, high infant mortality, frequent war, famine disease, etc.) forcing people at that time to marry as early as physically tolerable. Not doing so would've likely resulted in community-wide extinction. The reason why early marriage wasn't banned is because there are certain circumstances in which such a custom becomes necessary and that remains true indefinitely. 3. Aisha's marriage only recently became a hot button topic because up until very recently people weren't at liberty to marry as late as we do currently. In fact prior to the industrial revolution, when peoples material circumstances shifted radically, virtually the entire world (which included the "enlightened West") seemed to not bat an eye at early marriage. That is not a coincidence.

    Example for all mankind does not equal live 1400 years ago the way modern people live. It would be different if he married a prepubescent girl, but marrying a someone who was old enough for marriage, ready for marriage, willing for marriage, previously engaged to a non-Muslim proving that this was the norm for the time among all people, does not negate Prophethood. They lived in an agricultural society with no education system. She would've been married regardless, whether to him or someone else, so stop acting like he made her get married young. Mohammad pbuh marrying a girl who was already an adult by society's standards does not exclude him from being a role model. Aisha RA narrated roughly 2000 ahadith that painted a loving, positive picture of the Prophet, not a negative one. She herself was a fierce, outspoken, highly intelligent person who became a scholar, and later a military leader. If she wanted to complain about him in her 67 years of life, she would've. I copied and pasted the rest of this, but it drives the point home: Asadallah Ali who is not longer in the dawah scene unfortunately said this, and I think it perfectly talks to the morons who still try to make the Age of Aisha (RA) an issue: "Muhammad is always perfect because he dealt with the conditions of his time in a perfectly moral way. The problem here is that you seem to believe conditions for society are always static. If the average life expectancy was like 30 1400 years ago, it's perfectly rational to marry as early as possible. Saying we don't follow that today is not an admission to his lack of perfection, but a basic understanding of human development and history. Condemning him for this action is evidence of a lack of education. And anyone who claims this is "subjective morality" is even dumber."

N11.2 A husband who accuses his wife of adultery is disciplined (ta`zir, def: o17) by the magistrate and not allowed to imprecate against her when her adultery is already legally established (O: whether by her own admission, or by proof, meaning that four upright witnesses (o24.4) have looked at her when she was copulating and seen the adulterer's penis in her vagina), or when (N: adultery is impossible, such as when) the person accused is a mere infant. THE BRIDE'S RIGHT TO MARRY A SUITABLE MATCH OF HER CHOICE m3.9 Whenever a free woman asks to marry a suitor who is a suitable match (def m4) (O: by telling her guardian, ``Marry me to him''), the guardian must marry her to him (O: whether she is a virgin or nonvirgin, and whether prepubescent or not). [...] 1) The only guardians who may compel their charge to marry are a virgin bride's father or father's father, compel meaning to marry her to a suitable match (def: m4) without her consent. (2) Those who may not compel her are not entitled to marry her to someone unless she accepts and gives her permission. Whenever the bride is a virgin, the father or father's father may marry her to someone without her permission, though it is recommended to ask her permission if she has reached puberty. A virgin's silence is considered as permission. As for the nonvirgin of sound mind, no one may marry her to another after she has reached puberty without her express permission, no matter whether the guardian is the father, father's father, or someone else. [...] Neither sunna nor unlawful innovation means the divorce of a wife who is prepubescent, postmenopausal, pregnant, or one with whom one has not yet had sexual intercourse. [...] n9.1 There is no waiting period for a woman divorced before having had sexual intercourse with her husband. n9.2 A waiting period is obligatory for a woman divorced after intercourse, whether the husband and wife are prepubescent, have reached puberty, or one has and the other has not. Intercourse means copulation (def: n7.7). If the husband was alone with her but did not copulate with her, and then divorced her, there is no waiting period. Umdat as-Salik Infants may be contracted by their guardians. The marriage of a boy or girl underage, by the authority of their paternal kindred, is lawful, whether the girl be a virgin or not, the Prophet having declared, "Marriage is committed to the paternal kindred." Malik alleges that this is a power the excecise of which does not appertain to any of the kindred except the father. Shafei maintains that it belongs only to her father or grandfather: and he adds that this privilege does not appertain to any guardian whatever with respect to an infant Siyeeba, although he be her father or her grandfather. Malik argues that power over freemen is estalished from necessity; but in the present instance no such necessity exists, as infants are not subject to any canal appetite : yet it is vested in a father, on the authority of sacred writings contrary to what analogy would suggest : but he also says that a grandfather, not being the same as a father, is not to be included with him. The Hedaya And of one not subject to courses, three months : and of one who is pregnant, the term of tier travail. THE Edit of a woman who, on account of extreme youth or age, is not subject to the menstrual discharge, is three months, because GOD has so ordained in the sacred writing, The Edit of a pregnant woman is accomplished by her delivery, whether she be a slave or free, because GOD, in the sacred writings, has so ordained respecting woman in that situation. The Hedaya And so likewise of a child born of a wife under age within nine months after either irreversible or reversible divorce. If a man repudiate, by an irreversible divorce, a wife who is under the age of puberty, but yet such an one as may admit of carnal connexion, and she bring forth a child after the expiration of nine months from the time of divorce, the parentage of the child is not established in him ; but if the delivery be within less than nine months, it is established. This is according to Haneefa and Mohammed, Aboo Yoosaf says that the Parentage is established in the man, although the child, should not be born within less than two years from the period of divorce, because she was under Edit, and it is possible that the pregnancy may have existed at the time of the divorce, and she not have declared the accomplishment of her Edit, wherefore this infant wife is the same as a full-grown woman. The Hedaya The marriage of a minor boy and [of] a minor girl is permitted when the guardian gives them in marriage, be the minor girl a virgin or a previously married woman who had consummated her marriage. [...] Sunnah according to time is established only in respect of the woman with whom marriage has been consummated, and that is when he divorces her once in the period of purity in which he does not have sexual intercourse with her, and [with regards to] the woman whose marriage has not been consummated, [the sunnah is] that he may divorce her in the period of purity or menstruation. When the woman does not menstruate due to her minority [age] or old age, and he wants to divorce her according to the sunnah, he should divorce her once. When a month passes, he divorces her again, and when a month passes [again], he divorces her another [time]. It is permitted for him to divorce her and not create a gap in time between having sexual intercourse with her and her divorce. The Mukhtasar of Al Quduri

    I think what's wrong in the liberal brain is that they always thinking on something insignificant such as age when something they should be prioritising is the marriage itself. I forgot the hadith but I remember that marriage is the half of the religion, cmiiw. It is so important that even marrying at young age is not a problem! When you look at it in that perspective the marriage of Khadijah RA and Muhammad SAW or Aisha RA and Muhammad SAW make sense! No matter how old you are when you have the chance to get married, you should get married! The reason of getting married is important is because of its family values, something that is lost in the liberal world. You see many men and women dies alone in their apartment with no one knowing. You see woman getting used as sex object by many men. You see abortion. You see all the worst things that could happen to a society. Things like that could be only solved with marriage! But of course, the liberal world make it harder and harder to get married as if it is want to destroy humanity itself.

    A person must be aqil and baligh, no custom can overrule that. And the person must consent and know what that involves. The hadith are questionable at best and go against the primacy of the rule. According to the Hanafi mazhab a female can make her own wedding contract and a child can't, so do with that what you will. Also, this hadith has been abused by people to abuse children. May Allah ta'ala protect us and let us understand rahmatalilaalameen and not pretend zulm is from rahma. Instead we should be more objective in our approach and start applying reason to analysis of hadith literature.

    One big reason Aisha (r.a) was married is that Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) knew she would relate many hadith, she was smart and would ask the right questions, and was a challanging wife (in a good way), so that the marriage was a good example for many muslims later on. And she was one of the latest to die (678), she had time to relate speech to later generations. We have many evidance that the Prophet knew things from the future because God showed him. I think this marriage could be inspired because of these reasons, and also some political reasons, but there was also love in the marriage. Anyone can correct me if you have information against this.

  • @vorehart

    @vorehart

    8 ай бұрын

    @@m1j100_ Firstly, Muhammad (pbuh) did not 'want' to have intercourse with a 9 year old. It was a command from Allah swt to marry Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her). Why? Because of her intellectual capabilities as an individual, and the ways in which she would be able to guide the ummah. Muhammad (pbuh) isn't someone we "replicate", he is someone who's teachings and actions we learn and follow with emphasis on intention. That is not synonymous to replication. Had the Prophet had immoral intentions as some presume, he would have married more young people/children as wives, but he did not. If you're saying that since Muhammad (pbuh) married a 9 year old, it is subsequently permissible for any man to marry a 9 year old, then you would be wrong. The question of her mental and physical maturity at 9 years old is the focal point of the issue, not the numeric age. She met the physical maturity: puberty. Then what about her mental maturity? How could she have consented to marriage? What, or who, determines her mental, behavioral, psychological, and social maturity? The answer is her parents. Then it begs the question of the determinant of the parents' mental competence. How do we know the parents will make the right choice for their child? How could they make the decision to give her hand to an older man? Social and mental evaluation of a parent is determined by how they function as members of a society. But what society? Who is to say that such a society that allows for a ‘child’ (which constitutes to being 9 years old as we say) is not a morally corrupt culture? What is a good society? It is at this point, that we turn to the Qur’an. A society in which men and women understand and follow the Qur’an perfectly is an intellectually capable society. The Qur’an tells the best way to function in and build a society. The Qur’an THEN says to follow the Hadiths. Now you might ask, what if we had a society today that resembled 7th century Arabia with regard to the marriage of a ‘child’? For example, child marriages are prominent in places like Afghanistan. Parents still choose to hand off their children to older men, most of whom are certainly pxdophiles. Here, we must keep in mind that their child’s mental evaluation is not their only responsibility. It is the parents’ duty to evaluate the potential groom: intentions of the groom, and social competence of the groom. If the parents fail to do this and/or knowingly send off their daughter to a problematic male, they are disobeying the Islamic law and placing their child in danger’s way. Allah swt will punish these individuals as He sees fit.

The problem here is that you seem to believe conditions for society are always static. If the average life expectancy was like 30 1400 years ago, it’s perfectly rational to marry as early as possible. Saying we don’t follow that today is not an admission to his lack of perfection, but a basic understanding of human development and history. Condemning him for this action is evidence of a lack of education. And anyone who claims this is “subjective morality” is even dumber."

    There are many Hadith, in English, about Aisha's age they generally state as this Hadith does : "It was narrated from 'Aishah that the Messenger of Allah married her when she was six years old, and consummated the marriage with her when she was nine." Grade: Sahih (Darussalam) Reference : Sunan an-Nasa'i 3255 It is graded as Sahih by some, but that is wrong. These Hadith were transmitted by Hishaam ibn Urwa or sometimes it's just stated Hishaam, one and the same person. When Hishaam grew old his memory suffered very badly and it was then that he transmitted these Hadith. In the science of Hadith there are five conditions that must be met in order for a hadith to be graded as Sahih. One of the conditions is that the narrator have a high precision of memory. Hishaam had a very bad memory and therefore doesn't meet the criteria in fact as his memory was very bad the Hadith is Apocryphal, Daef or false. There is a Hadith transmitted by Umaartubnu Ghazeyah but he is listed as being Daef and therefore the Hadith is Daef. The Hadith such as these are Apocryphal, Daef or false and many people do not know. Asma, Aisha's sister, was 10 years older than Aisha. Asma died in 73 AH at 100. Which makes Aisha around 17 at the time of Hijra to Medina. She was conducted to her husband, Peace be upon him in a later Shawwal making her 19 years and 10 months old. In The Holy Qur'an Allah says "...Marry who seem good to you from THE WOMEN...' 4:3 Marry THE WOMEN NOT CHILDREN. Extra knowledge: The fourth chapter, The Women, starts with "O' Mankind…" 4:1 and therefore the address is to Mankind. In Hadith 10 from 40 Hadith an-Nawawi It is noted that : "Verily Allah commanded The Believers* because He commanded with it The Messengers and Allah said "O' The Messengers Eat from The Good and Act Righteously" and He said "O' Those who Believe* Eat from The Good which We provided you"..." We note that Allah addresses The Messengers separately from The Believers* and this is true throughout the Qur'an. Therefore, Allah begins Chapter 4 with : "O' Mankind…" 4:1 and the address is to Mankind and excludes The Messenger, Muhammad, Peace be upon him. As the chapter continues it still addresses Mankind and says : "...Marry who seem good to you from THE WOMEN...' 4:3 This address is part of the address to Mankind and not to The Messenger Muhammad, Peace be upon him, who is excluded from this address. However, Further along in The Chapter, The Women, Allah says : "Allah wishes to make clear for you and guide you to The Practices of those from before you…" 4:26 In this verse which is still addressing Mankind Allah says He makes clear for you, Mankind, and guides you, Mankind, to The Practices of those from before you, and The practices of those before you is to, as Allah says : "...Marry who seem good to you from THE WOMEN...' 4:3 and those before you are The Prophets. All The Prophets from before their practice was to marry Women NOT children exonerating them from any and all blame. and Allah says : "...Never will you find in The Practice of Allah A Changing…" 35:43 and there are other verses from elsewhere in The Quran. And no changing in The Practice of Allah in respect to The messenger of Allah, Muhammad, Peace be upon him. The Prophet Muhammad's practice was already in line with The Practice of The Prophets from before that he and they only married women and therefore it was not necessary to address him,Peace be upon him, when Allah began The Chapter, The Women, with " O' Mankind…". Allah makes clear and guides Mankind to The Practice of those before us namely The Prophets and The Practice of Muhammad, Peace be upon him, in which there was no change in that practice from before to : "...Marry who seem good to you from THE WOMEN...' 4:3 Marry THE WOMEN NOT THE CHILDREN. There is more evidence but it would make this too long.

    Whoever rejects this rejects human history and is also a fool when it comes to history Marriage later than puberty marked the lower classes and poor financial ability in ancient Europe, while The upper classes and wealthy merchants etc tended to marry younger as they had the means to house themselves and provide for a family at a younger age. The legal age of consent to marriage was twelve for girls and fourteen for boys, though betrothal might be arranged at a younger age by ambitious parents. Lady Margaret Beaufort (Countess of Richmond and Derby), mother of Henry VII of England, married as a seven *7* year old girl Queen Isabella of Valois, daughter of Charles VI of France, married Richard II of England as a second wife when she was six *6* years old girl The problem is that scientists say: "There was no such thing as adolescence, And our generation now has adolescence that continues to the age of 25, And It increases generation after generation"

It's important to keep in mind that the concept of "young age" can be relative and is influenced by historical and cultural contexts. Here are a few examples from the Old and New Testaments: 1. Old Testament: - Isaac and Rebekah: Rebecca was three years old in the book of Genesis, Isaac, the son of Abraham, married Rebekah when she was brought to him by his father's servant. While the exact age of Rebekah at the time of her marriage to Isaac is not explicitly stated in the Bible, some Jewish traditions and commentaries suggest that she was a young choked at THREE years, when she married Isaac. - Jacob and Rachel: In the book of Genesis, Jacob married Rachel after working for her father Laban for seven years. It is worth noting that in the cultural context of the time, it was not uncommon for individuals to marry at a younger age compared to contemporary practices. 2. New Testament: - Mary and Joseph: According to Christian tradition, Mary, the mother of Jesus, was betrothed to Joseph when she was a young woman, likely in her teenage years. Betrothal in ancient Jewish culture was a formal arrangement that preceded the actual marriage, and it often took place at a relatively young age. It's important to approach these accounts with an understanding of the historical and cultural context in which they took place. The concept of marriage and the age at which individuals married in ancient times can differ significantly from modern practices and societal norms.
