Marina, a successful landscape designer is about to be married. However, the day before she is due to introduce her fiancé to her rich and influential father, they quarrel and she accidentally locks herself out of her flat. Luckily for her a passer-by Bogdan comes to her rescue. Realising that he could be the solution to her other dilemma, Marina asks him if he would be willing to pose as her fiancé and meet her father. He refuses, suddenly realising that he has become very attracted to Marina, but does not want her or her family to find out that he has just been released from prison.
Marina decides to take a break from love and concentrate on her work. She wins a huge commission from Sergey, a wealthy and successful businessman, who falls in love and proposes to her. Marina, however, is unsure, and it is about this time that Sergey is visited by an old friend from the army who had saved his life a few years ago. Marina is surprised to discover that the friend is none other than Bogdan, who himself is also surprised that his feelings for Marina are still very strong.
While Sergey is away on a business trip, Bogdan throws a surprise birthday party for Marina introducing her to the guests as his bride. However, when Sergey returns unexpectedly with his new business partner and Marina’s father, Ivan Petrovich, he is furious with Bogdan’s behaviour, and in a fit of anger challenges him to a duel. When one of the bullets accidentally hits Ivan, the obvious suspect is Bogdan. He is arrested, and the case is brought to court but Marina manages to prove his innocence and reveals that he was also framed for his previous crime by Sergey. With his name cleared, Bogdan is soon hired as a military instructor and leaves for a remote Siberian military base, taking his young wife Marina with him.

Watching movies is great. My advice - get a grammar book called "The New Penguin Russian Course" and start going through it. Learn the alphabet and start writing words down, etc. and familiarizing yourself with the grammar. You can also take lessons online, on Skype, through a site called italki where you can find teachers. You can find teachers from as low as $5-6 an hour. My mistake when learning Russian was not to start speaking right away - I learned on my own for awhile, and started becoming frustrated. Using italki has been extremely crucial to learning Russian for me. Also, podcasts are great, at first to just put on to familiarize yourself with the language, and then to learn vocabulary in context. Good luck!

в каждом минусе есть свой плюс и наоборот) другую прическу она себе позволить не может. Поэтому и кочует из фильма в фильм неизменно с "идеальными чертами лица и с красивой головой"

Что-то удивили... большей чуши я давно не видела! И это с участием хороших актёров! Лифчик на дорожке-это пипец какой-то))), обидно... Чернышов и Апексимова могли бы сняться в чём-нибудь более пригодном для просмотра. Такое чувство, что английские комменты пишут не зрители. Фу

Yes, having watched and liked almost all Russian movies that I watched here, this was disappointing.
Nice movie..though it would have been better if the lead actress was younger and dressed feminingly with long hair. The men are good looking but unfortunately I cant say the same about the lead actress😥😥
