Yep a pinion gear that's not out of round works wonders!

I take the bodies off mega g+ and stick them on mega g. That’s how I fix that problem. Great vid, keep up the good work. Slot cars for life.

It's a beautiful looking model, Steve! Too bad about the pinion though, should come good out the box, just not good enough! It looked a lot better at the end, though! Cheers! :))

Thanks 👍 Yes they are having a problem with a bad out of round pinion gear AFX told us they know and are fixing the problem.

I guess the manufacturers quality control is a bit wobbly too. Nice Mustang body though 👍🏼

Yeah I don't know why they can't fix the problem it's a bad one all our cars we had to put the new life like pinions on and they run faster and smoother with them. Thanks for watching.

Hi first off go check out our new slot car channel BS Slot Cars everything happening over there! Now about your ? The long chassis is a much better runner for sure we don't like the short chassis nowhere as much. We ran 18V on our adjustable power supply, now we run these on our 1/32 track at 22v! Go check it out lots of nail biter races in the new channel! Thanks

That's too bad... really good looking car. I mean the pinion helped out a bit, but I could tell you guys weren't excited about the car..

Yeah nothing worse than picking out a car you like and wait for it to come in and your all excited to run it and when it's a slow one you get depressed! LOL!! Thanks for watching.

That is messed up it is wonky right out of the box! At last you had what you needed to sort it out and hopefully it breaks in and speeds up, it is a good looking car!

Does the difalco make using the 22 volts on the afx tri power possible?

Hi I am not sure what your getting at? but we use os3 ho lite controllers and we run the mega g+ cars on 22v all the time... see our new slot car channel everythings going on over there! it's BS Slot Cars Thanks

AFX Taking care if my pinion. Said they have this contained. I have the smaller version of your track. Did you oil the Boss?

Hi cool!! Yeah they told us that also but we had to change all our mega G+ pinions out even the ones that look a little straight still are out of round and when you pop a life like one on the cars run better even with a spo called good AFX stock pinion gear on it. Did not oil the boss in this video we have to do so but wanted to show it how it was out of the box. stay tuned big HO race for tomorrow's video! Thanks for watching.

A pinion change required to get it to mesh better, how do they get away with it. You would have thought after all these years the cars have been around they would get it right.

They are made worse these days because they are made in china when we were kids they were not made in china and were much better quality control. Thanks

@@ShenRC That's the trouble every thing out sauced the quality does go downhill. Our Scalextric's are made in China now but the quality seems OK.

How the hell do you get your cars to stay on the track right out of the box like that I don’t get it??

Hi I used to race in many slot clubs on many different tracks and in mine also for many years even ran a race in the HO nationals... I am older now when I was younger I drove much better. I'm really sick and tied of the poor quality from Racemasters/AFX lately. Paint with defects, cracked wheels, warped pinion gears, defective GT40 bodies...it just never ends. 😡

I hear ya it's not right at all for the $ we pay for these tiny cars also they should be near or perfect! the larger scale slot cars seem much better.

That thing sounded horrible right out of the pack. Just not a fan of the AFX Mega G+ Chassis ! 🙁Autoworld Chassis suck too !
