+Hamilkar Barkas my pleasure Michi, I can't to get cracking on it !
I built an AFV Club 251/17 Command kit a year or so ago. It was my first step up from Tamiya builds. It was a real challenge but a great kit. I recommend them to anyone!

+Armour Empire thanks Mark ! I'm big fan of AFV club myself :)
Just done Dragon's panzer 2 beob same with that the antenna bar just crumbled! But think it was because I was done in 4 parts and you glue them to the fixtures and the pins seemed to be slightly off so never lined up good so brass rod it ended up being lol!
Looks good. I have a dragon 251 in my build Q so i`ll be watching closely

+Richard Feeney nice they are such nice builds !
Awesome review Shane. I'm currently building an AFV Club half track and understand the Sprue being fragile. I found one of the suspension broke on the Sprue and the piece that broke off is missing. I can fix it but it's annoying. Other than that they are fun kits to build!

+Papa Kilo 1/35 Armor thanks my friend ! Ya I've found that too, that you need to uber careful removing parts from AFV club spures its the only down side to their kit really :(
A little late to the party but looks very nice....where's the Enigma machine? Heheh They usually had one in these radio vehicles as well as teletypes. Just a small note: The little boxes you suggested might be fuse boxes are the Transformers for the radio power.Thanks for posting, cheers, Paul

thanks Pual the kit doesn't include any of the coders though I always thought they were only used on Battalion and Regimental level command vehicles as this machine isn't being used as Pipers vehicle any more but as a company level command vehicle for a Kursk dio I am working on,even if its found on those I am not too worried about it to be honest

milky55way2012 ah sure no worries mate
as always, cool review shane. I like AFV better then Dragons, then tamiya, italeri, when it comes to the 251, heck I'd like to model a rock better, I've seen some nasty crap with dragon kits. Funny there's a guy on here that crushed a Dragon 251, it's so awesome. Anyway very cool review shane. glad to see you back.

+Clayton McClain thanks mate, ya some of the kits of machine are not all good lol
Shane, i got a 251/21 kit from AFV as well, after build it, did you think is there any part should need to buy update and replace ?,
@longlance67
5 жыл бұрын
its a pretty good kit out the box, the only thing I would recommend replacing is the machine guns for something like Dragons MG42 or MG34 if you have any in your spares. I tend to replace the clearance poles with brass replacements as I tend to snap too much
Oh... boy a RadVan most excellent !
