Afternoon Tea in London: a fashion-inspired tea at The Berkeley | Condé Nast Traveller

The Berkeley’s fashion-inspired afternoon tea might just be the most stylish tea in London. As well as the usual finger sandwiches and scones, the kitchen sends out rows of tiny, perfectly recreated designs from that season’s catwalks. In this video, the restaurant manager Steven Driscoll takes us through the inspiration that the pastry team at this grand-dame hotel draw on - from dinky handbags to patisseries inspired by the year’s most impressive ball gowns.

Please boycott this hotel: it is owned by the dictatorial family from Qatar. Apart from all the classics (no freedom of speech, no free press, tortures…), LGBT people are persecuted and women are second class citizens. If all that is not enough, migrant workers from poor asian countries (Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, India…) work there in near-slavery conditions , specially during the construction of the infrastructures of the recent football cup. Give your money to someone else. Javi Caballero (Spain).

This is awesome. Wouldn’t mind eating one of those cute tiny Jacquemus bags. I’ve always thought they looked kinda edible 💕
