@@roxannegordon6162I am in my 60s now and over the years my taste has changed, instead of “de-cluttering” items I no longer used, I would pack them away in a cupboard and then go back to them. It might be a year or two but I then have a new love for them. As you say it’s lovely to have all your things around you❣️

I am hard of hearing too, so I put on closed captions and I can read what he is saying on the screen, so I don’t miss out on one thing. The button is at the top right hand top of the picture screen called cc. I find it perfect because would also not want to miss anything, all lovely.

I love how Miss Sophie did a pre-walk stretch! You make setting a table look so effortless but very elegant. I never thought of using cream cheese with cucumbers. I will definitely give that a go! I have used cream cheese on slices of brioche with a layer of pear slices. Thank you for your superbly wonderful inspirations!

Thank you, Nicolas, for sharing your stunning table. I love the way you’ve combined the elegance of Limoges with rattan, and the gorgeous brown glasses that seem to bridge them. It looks like it was taken out of a 1920’s Rolls for a lovely picnic beside a quiet stream on a perfect summer day. I won’t bother you with the childhood memory I suddenly relived but I’m 69 yrs, so I went way back! To a beautiful summer day shared with family. Isn’t it wonderful how beauty can connect to beauty across time, space, culture, activity, anything. Beauty always seems to recognize itself.

The table settings are beautiful. The afternoon tea looks so yummy I wish I was there too!

Hi Nicholas , just a thought : you can get a tray of individual mini cake moulds from Lakeland. They have straight sides and loose bottoms,so they always come out perfectly. I am glad you are having fun with your new tea set. Mine is the Duchess Bramble Rose and I always get it out for a tea party.Usually our tea parties start at 3 pm and end at 8 pm ! Everyone has such a good time.

Because of you I recently bought a tea porcellaine I really love ( second hand) and it makes me happy every time I use it!!!! Ah, Vladimir Kanevsky's porcelain flowers really are works of art. I look at his website every once in a while, although his pieces are beyond my budget. By the way, both of your table settings look lovely. I think most of us wish we lived just down the street from you so that we could pop over for tea!

I have to be honest and say that I do not like the rattan chargers with the Limoges plates. I feel that fine china looks best with a white linen cloth, sliver flatware and crystal glasses. Your brown chargers and brown glasses, would be better suited with pottery plates or something else that is thicker and substantial. Bone china is dainty and should be treated with finesse.

While I believe contrasts can imbue visual interest, rattan is incongruent with fine china and delicate tea sandwiches, especially in the springtime. I agree with you that it pairs better with more rustic plates. Possibly with china if you were hosting a hunt breakfast or serving game for the main.

Every time I see those rattan chargers, I tell myself I need to buy some since they are so versatile and add the element of texture that is so appealing. So glad you moved the lamp from in from of your large green painting which I don't remember the name of. I found it distracted from the incredible painting. I always enjoy your content in the videos. The best attribute of a good host is making everyone feel special and a honored guest by the effort they put in preparing for the occasion however big or small. I would feel so grateful for such a wonderful spread. Well done. My only concern would be how to reciprocate in kind.👍🙏😎

Lovely tea party. Now you’ve started to use your new China tea set. I wish everyone would start using china again. Does anyone else get fed up being served a thick clumpy cup in cafes when they order tea ? well I got so fed up with it I started taking my own China cup and saucer wrap in cloth inside my handbags. I order a pot of tea and if I get an awful cup and saucer which is quite often I must say, then I bring out my own China 😂😂😂😂. I have had a few stares of surprise, confusion, admiration, who knows and who cares I want to enjoy my tea. ❤

So glad I’m not the only one who loves the porcelain flowers he makes. I got to see a bunch of his work here in the usa at one of the local estates that are preserved. And I have been obsessed ever since! Also the porcelain light switches they had installed too were so good I HAD to have some!!! I’m more afraid I’ll break the flowers and…well that would be so awful! So for now no porcelain flowers !

Lovely as always. The sunlight on your table just says Spring. There is such a wonderful feeling to present to your guests a beautifully set table with homemade,delicious food. My mother taught me this from the time I was a child and it has stayed with me. She would include me in the preparations from polishing silver to baking. As she would hand me things to place she would explain where they came from , my great grandmother, a wedding gift , an uncle . Then when family and friends arrived it made me feel so good to see the look on their faces when they saw the table. I think your guests will feel so special when they see how beautiful your tea set , your sandwiches and cakes look. Thank you for sharing your Sunday When your bloom on the chrysanthemum has past its prime plant them in your garden perhaps in a large pot.In June clip 3 inches off the foliage and they may re bloom in September.
