It was actually a group of Boston Police who took shifts, they had an unwritten rule that the kid's body would never be left alone, and they stood watch until 1am the next day.

I don’t think it was as huge as it seemed to be honest. I think it was just a strong pop but with no range or force to it

1:52 that's pretty amazing she had the presence of mind to wrap a tourniquet around his leg despite being in shock

The doctors and nurses at the hospitals did amazing work in the aftermath of the bombing and saved so many lives that might have otherwise been lost.

It happened right around 3 pm. Boston has a lot of hospitals. 3 pm is the shift change for the nurses and some doctors. So you had the 7-3 shift that was still on the premises, when the explosions happened and you had the 3-11lshift that was just arriving at local hospitals. And fortunately for everyone, they practice mass casualty events, so they had plans in place. The Boston Marathon is 125 years old and considered one of Boston's premier sporting events, having existed long before any of Boston's other teams. Sorry Celtics, Bruins, Patriots and Red Sox.

I am a relatively new father to a 1 1/2 year old and let me tell you it hurts my heart so bad whenever I see children hurt. Nobody, especially children, should ever have to endure something like this.

The worst part is many of the survivors had lost their leg or legs in the initial bombing and those who still have their legs need to have one or both of their legs amputated because these bombs were extremely lethal and the cuts and lacerations were extreme that they could get infected easily and they’d die if they weren’t amputated.

5:16 Lifeline Ambulance 60 (Not sure if it was actually used in the movie, but it was there for the real life event) But that truck was transferred to one of the New Hampshire bases sometime after the bombings and was my rig for a while! The stories ambos could tell if they could talk is unreal...

The couple in the beginning are real they actually had to get there legs cutoff but they run the marathon every time since this tragedy a lot of the survivors who had there limbs off do now it’s an honor thing

i feel bad for those poor people who got injured/killed in the explosions. darn those hoodlum tsarnaev brothers

The bombing happened right in front of a sporting good store, that lost a lot of t-shirts as a result. Some were damaged in the explosion. Others were used as tourniquets

Boston fire and ems didn’t have a mass casualty unit at the time. The hospital was supposed to be on 9/11 run. As many in and out as you can.

As a Canadian this was insane when it happened. I was only a kid at the time but i remember thinking we were gonna go to war or something.

This movie makes me throw up with the limbs blown off by the terriorst I would never get this DVD and watch it…it is very disturbing to watch it sickens how bad evil people can blow up people’s limbs at a marathon or a concert/sporting events. RIP to those killed that day

I feel sorry for those 5 families that had their loved ones wiped out during the Boston 2013 incident. I'm just so mad and annoyed that Dzhokhar Tsarnaev destroyed Martin Richard, Lingzi lu, and Dennis Simmonds. I'm also upset that his older brother Tamerlan Tsarnaev who killed Krystle Campbell and Sean Collier. that's horrible to see that happening to those 5 victims that died in that 2013 incident.

Is this based on something real? And if so what happened? Was the bomb like dropped or planted

I remember watching the Boston marathon live on tv with my family we had nothing better to do so we watched it and I remember this actually they were going to go to commercials but then boom! After the explosion you didn’t see no more until later that evening when they said one of em was killed in a gun figh ( the bomber) and another one is on the loose this was big thing in 2012! I swear I think when Obama became president everything went to hell he was a good president but people went crazy in 2012 ! From sandy hook to Boston , shit even a year prior 3 girls escaped from Cleveland OH ! Like 2011 to 2014 was one hell trip

The bombing was on April 15th, 2013. It wasn't until the early morning of the 19th that the long shootout with police took place. And it was reported on around noon.

I like Mark, but I fcking hated his character in this movie, I was not able to finish this movie just because of him alone….

Everyone was too engrossed in the race to care. Also this was before major fear of terrorism so to them it looked like someone just left their backpack, oh well, that’s if anyone even noticed it at all. This incident was one of the ones that made people more aware of domestic terrorism

Take the plank out of your own eye. There have been plenty of instances of terrorism perpetrated by "christians". They have killed abortion providers, attacked Planned Parenthood clinics, murdered gays, and carried out mass murder attacks on synagogues and mosques. The problem is not one religion, it is religious extremism. America was founded on the premise that, among other things, everyone should be free to worship according to their own beliefs and that we could all get along and let each other be.
