I believe you might be referring to the Democratic Alliance (DA), known for governing several cities in South Africa

Easy if the council s did there jobs that we pay them for was to clean out the drainage in the roads we won't have had these problems

I understand your frustration. Proper maintenance and cleaning of the drainage systems are crucial to prevent such issues. Hopefully, the council can address these concerns soon to avoid future problems. Thank you for sharing your thoughts!
But I thought cape town is run by the da and they get things done.this is clearly not true because see water as no way to escape.are there no man holes or storm water out lets

Thank you for your comment. While Cape Town is indeed managed by the DA and they have made significant improvements, some areas still face challenges, especially during heavy rains. The city continues to work on infrastructure improvements, including storm water outlets and drainage systems, to better manage water flow and prevent flooding. Your concerns are valid, and ongoing efforts are being made to address these issues
Go to Khayelitsha and you’ll see real flooding, not occasional blocked sewers.
