Isn’t KZread fantastic. I’m from the UK and I’d never see this and hear the problems truckers in the US experience working. Just love looking at the beautiful scenery and passing through small towns and cities. Thanks for doing these film Mike.

In August 1996 brought a load from Memphis ,Tn. to a jobsite in Scottsdale, Az. What a pleasure it was to stay in cool weather of Flagstaff, Az at Little America truck stop. The next day I got a lesson in monsoon thunder storms when I arrived in Scottsdale to find the jobsite washed away.

@43:30 You went from "Winter Wonderland" to "Little House On The Prairie" in about a mile. Amazing lol.

We good old boy have run a lot out of town...

The quality of the video and audio is wonderful. We want to hear from the driver. We did the drive from the Grand Canyon national park in a blizard through Flagstaff maybe 35 years ago in later November. We were driving a rear wheel drive nissan pickup through the snow. The good news was: as we drove down to the south from Flagstaff towards Phoenix the heavy snow turned into rain. The driving in the rain was so much easier than in the snow up near and in Flagstaff.

Hi. Just happened across your live road trip Big Rig trucking recording. You’ve provided a rare & personal account of your everyday life of traffic , other drivers & road conditions you have to deal with. You have my total and utter respect for your dedication to assure delivery of your line of goods transport and delivery. Quirky as it sounds ...but keep on trucking !!

Coming down on I-17 is always a gamble cuz if there is any kind of wreck, they shut the highway down for hours and there is no other road to detour on.

I'm a local and live in flagstaff... if people don't know how to drive in the snow stay off the roads and don't Be Stupid...

Now America has seen how much hard work truckers put into delivering products. Worked as a nurse close 40 years. Until covid , nurses were never appreciated either. I worked 14 hour shifts daily. Always 5 days weekly. As house supervisor over hospital ,7 days straight 2 off, 7days on 2days off, 7 days straight then 5 off. Worked these hours 7 years. Just retired recently. Be safe. Some good memories here from when I lived in Phoenix in the early 1990s, and made several weekend jaunts up I-17 to various fun destinations: Sedona, Jerome/Cottonwood, Flagstaff... I was hoping to see that 6000-ft. descent down Black Canyon, but alas, your clip ended at the Jerome/Cottonwood exit. It was still cool to see the transition from snow at 8800ft. elevation to dry roads and landscape as you drop to... what, about 6000ft. along the Verde Valley? Always amazed me how much of a difference that elevation change made around Flagstaff.

I have been whaching your videos for a while and never have been disappointed with the quality

Morning Mike, it's autumn over here in down under, technically though we don't feel the effects of it until a month later. Our summer has been sultry and miserable (akin to FL heat) and that's a beautiful view of the Phoenix (or I like to call the dust bowl) travelling down

My husband drives Monday through Friday to Flagstaff & he said yesterday was tough, because the weather and people driving and not thinking about how truck drivers have to maneuver around and they just speed carelessly

I work in Phoenix but travel I-17 every weekend to visit the family on the Navajo Rez. I went through Flagstaff on Thursday evening and there was hardly any snow but I guess it must've snowed that night. I go up Hwy 89 north bound from Flagstaff. Safe travels and be safe, thanks for showing your trip through Flagstaff👍🇺🇸..

I live in the SW of Australia, where it NEVER snows and have visited Flagstaff AZ on a few occasions, but only in summer, so never seen snow there !! Thanks for posting, gives me a different perspective of the area.

Lived in Flag a lot of years, That's a good wet March snow storm. We need the water! I am in PHX now and saw you going down i-17 on Friday. I waved lol.

I was stuck in this storm. They shut the freeway down for over 18 hours. Me and hundreds of people slept on the freeway the whole time

Thanks for the video. I drove up to Sedona last Saturday to see the snow falling there. Always wanted to see Sedona with snow. It was as awesome as I envisioned it.

This brings back some good memories of travelling through Arizona with my parents going to Arkansas, Alabama and Kentucky. I wondered why back in the day, the old delineator posts had a black target with the white or yellow reflective patches on them. Seeing this snow, I know why after all these years, they had those black markers.

I I ran through there years ago in a cabover one thing I didnt like about a cabover on snow the steer tire would throw snow and sand up on the passenger window and mirror and you couldn't see what on your right side beautiful up there I used to run Show Low and Flag alot for Walmart.i have to laugh though in the old days the cruise control was your right foot lol

I drove back from Flagstaff to Phoenix on the same day. Slow going but it was all good for me. As we dropped down below 5000' all the snow on the road cleared up pretty well. That was enough snow for me. Back to the 70s in Phoenix where I live.

I remember driving in slush with falling snow in winter. Just drive with the flow of traffic and leave lots of room between vehicles. Don't slam on the breaks or floor the accelerator or try to do drastic turns. Your trips will take longer. But, you will get there through the snow storms with snow, ice, and slush.

Sir Mike !! DON"T forget that we jump ahead 1 hr. at 0200 Sunday AM !!!! Forgot how ""E-LOGS"" handled that when you were on a 10 hr. break ??? My Parents were Cdn Snowbirds. I remember when they were parked on the edge of the road in Flagstaff, due to snow. Driving the truck and a 25' Camper trailer.

The Steakhouse across the road from Little Americs used to be named "Bladk Barts", Interesting intertainment provided by the local college coral students.

Thanks! Under contract for land in Chino Valley that I personally have not seen, but hubby saw earlier this month. I am headed out in 10 days to finalize the sale, but it's nice to see the weather progression from Flagstaff down to the Verde Valley.

I had the same problem (death wobble) on my 91 Dodge w250 truck). It turned out to be tires. We swapped tires with rims, re-balanced, cured the problem.

A winter wonderland ......unless you are in it lol , miss the snow though .

At NAU, love Flagstaff, the best thing is that in a few days it will be sunny and 60. We can't make up our mind between winter and spring.

I live in flag and can tell you the state has trucks with wing plows as well I can't tell ya why that lane isn't plowed but we do have wing plows as well as tow plows

Sounds like you're talking about Black Bart's Steak House in Flagstaff. They use to have Singing Waiters that were students from the Northern Arizona University, don't know if they still do or not. It's been years, but the food was good.....and, if I remember correctly, they had Deep Fried Ice Cream .

I love these videos, I'm 73 and originally from Michigan (moved to Florida for 16 years) and now live in Ecuador. I still miss driving my own car (it's been 8 years) so these videos are as though I'm right there with you sitting up front. I'm terribly homesick!!!!! My heart is still in Michigan and your videos warm my heart. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Went through there that night, it was ice on the road, people spinning out, semi trucks got stuck, they shut down the north bound it was a mess. We all drove 5 miles an hr.

I was on I-40 shut down for many hours 2 or 3 weeks back outside of Williams AZ

Silver Pine Restaurant at Little America, really good. We’ve never been to Flagstaff in full blown winter, it’s so pretty but think I’ll stick to clear dry highways! Lol

I had that death wobble , turned out to be my tire layers had seperated , tire tread still looked good etc but the car was 10 yrs old with original tires lol 😆 dry rot from lack of driving I assume.

You’re a good truck driver ., mike . The company you work for , hope they know there lucky to have ya . 😎 Seriously though, you’re great driving in that snow ❄️ and on the mountains 🏔 roads . The part of the country I live at , we Rarely get any snow ❄️ and when it does ., people Act crazy . There scared of a couple inches of snow or ice . And they for sure don’t have Driving skills 🤣😎. .....# Here in the - south. - NC .

One of the worst snow storms we ever drove through was from Flag to Phoenix. Took us 2 hours to go 30 miles. Saw 3 trucks j-knifed in the median. I don't think AZ puts a lot of money into snow maintenance. But once you hit Valley Verde (green valley) the snow stops, the weather raises 30* and you forget all about that snow.
