his top 5 string are just tuned to D# and his lowest string is tuned to G# - you dont need an 8 string fellas!

What nut are you using? Just in C on my mh1001 it buzzes terribly with the factory nut.

I believe he plays some of the parts that are supposed to be on the lower strings in a higher octave that's why it doesn't sound too different

Толстые струны надо ставить для низких строев. Для строев Dropped B и ниже ставят обычно на 6-и струнные гитары струны для 7-и струнных без первой струны. Ну или я тебя неправильно понял :)

Michael Carter I use 6 strings and had to learn it by ear. Very hard, but I eventually got it down. Slow the song down and study note by note :)

Обычно на низкие строи ставят толщину 13+. Сам же я в низких строях не играю и использую струны 9 толщины, но натяжение хорошее у них, может из-за фирмы, покупаю если только Ernie Ball. Попробуй потолще струны и чтоб побольше натяжения было на них.

It's in Low F, I'm not sure a lot of 6 strings can handle a tuning so low. I know mine can't :L

Aaron Grimes they cant but you dont need to do the chugging if you dont want to, just learn the leads on a 6, or get some not even slinkies, if you have at least a 15.5 scale, you should be fine up until about g#/ maybe g, otherwise 7 string :) or 8

lowest tone is G# ... but you can just play it in Eb on six string and play the "heavy" part one octave higher.

Что за примочки?

Да толстые можно и 6ти струнный набор купить. и 60-12 и даже толще. У меня гитара еще то весло, конечно, но я сколько не мучился с бриджом, анкером. Так максимально струны не могу опустить - сустейн пропадает, появляется дребезг струн о лады, приходится поднимать их выше. А у всех струны плотно сидять к грифу, играть удобнее. Вот я и спрашиваю в чем дело? Дребезг не важет, гитара так хорошо отстроена, или струны тонкие? Хотя будь они тонкие не играли бы тогда в низком строе...
