After her husband died in June 2004, Jackie Syverson felt the shattering loss of both purpose and community. Feeling separated from a military life that had become woven into her identity, she searched for a path back to service and purpose. Ultimately, she found it with TMF. “Being around other survivors, everyone is here for the same purpose,” Jackie says. “We’re called to serve, we’ve done that our whole lives, and TMF gives us the perfect opportunity to do that.”
