After Later Audio Steps // Eurorack shift register, burst generator, clock, looping melodies & more

Ғылым және технология

Here’s ‘Steps’ from After Later Audio. A 6HP Eurorack module that offers multiple functions including … clock generator, random rhythm generating, rhythm looper, stepped random generator, 8 step sequences, bursts, end of outputs, unique audio rate waves and more!
At it’s core Steps generates an 8 step burst, held gate during it’s bursting activity and end of burst output. The 8 step pulses feed a shift register for either 8 step random bipolar signals of an 8 step looped sequences. Gate rhythms with varying gate lengths and rhythms are generated from the shift register and the whole module works via button or external trigger or in a looping state.
Steps covers a range of essential functions for any modular system as the potential use cases are massive. This video aims to highlight plenty of them as well as showing how the module functions technically and musically.

Just ordered one of these - that Irregular clocking thing going on is fantastic. Thinking it will make a great companion to my Moog system...

hahahaha! We all sound the same to those outside the country I imagine (English, Northerners, however you want to spin it). Shaun Ryder (the guy on the Gorillaz song) is from Lancashire over the other side of the country to me in Yorkshire.

I'm looking for something to really get my MI Elements to unfold and I'm not sure if this is the thing. My impression is that I would also need a heap of LFOs as well. Any thoughts?

the oscillator was the Acid Rain Technology Chainsaw - kzread.info/dash/bejne/X3qM1bqycrS3lto.html Can't remember the filters, could have been the Frequency Central State 700 and Spice VCF from Plankton though.

That's exciting, best of luck with your new ideas and modules. Go to my KZread channel home page, about tab, then business enquiries email address. Send links and things I can check out etc. Alternatively a direct message on Instagram.

@@DivKid Oooo thank you! I'm totally in love with you videos, you are the absolute most comprehensive and most complete reviewer i've seen! My first module is still in the oven but i believe in a few weeks/month things will go forward! Thanks for replying :) Do you have a discord channel? if dont, i feel that one for you would be very cool :)

thanks Pedro really appreciate that, trying to bring a couple of decades of music making and that experience into the years of modular experience and keep learning and sharing with everyone. It's amazing to be able to work with such great people and make videos of so many good modules. I do have a Discord channel, it's exclusive for Patreon supporters, but there's a great growing community over there.

@@DivKid Yeah i dont even imagine how cool it is hahha, the thing that i like the most in your videos is that you dont just throw a bunch of random modules togheter with the principal module that you're showcasing, i see in many other youtube channels this behaviour of non-transparency. Oooh nice, currently i dont have ways to buy online but i'll try to ask someone so i can join you all :)
