    You got that right those old racers I remember Gary Nixon doing a mile in Springfield. I have to give rest in peace Gary Nixon one really nice guy.

    Never watched AFT before, usually only have time to keep up with NASCAR and IMSA but this stuff is pretty awesome! Great racing!

    I hear you! I raced motorcycles for 20 years..road racing. I discovered flat track...now I catch every regional event I can live and have DVr 18 aft events..it fabulous! The highest hp many times does not win. Traction must be found or created..I can not get enuff of it....💪😎👍🏻

    I’ve been in the flat track since the late 60s and there’s nothing to compare Springfield Mile. The fastest mile in the world

    Daniels man. If he stays healthy he seems like he’s gonna win a lot of championships. I’d like to see him on a twin in a couple years. Reminds me of an early Springer. Tons of confidence.

    Growing up I used to love the movie documentary On Any Sunday shot in like late 60s - early 70s sense then I never knew they still did this kind of race and it looks like nearly nothing has changed how interesting.

    There is something sweet about them slipping through turn number 2 past the big white barn - the flat track version of Maison Blanche - anyway Steve MacQueen like Surtees knew about both

    speedway bikes run one gear no clutch no brakes and typically run super short tracks ......this is what you do when you graduate from speedway.....run 140 mph in a pack of 150 hp bikes ....

    @@craigbielsky115 they might run super short tracks where you live, but don't under estimate the skills required.these guys haven't graduated from speedway they've gone with the sport that predominates where they live.

    @@Gracievision speedway bikes run short tracks that is what they are purpose built to do .......they dont run one mile tracks.....not geared for it not designed for it ....flat track is nationwide with springfield mile being the superbowl of flat track racing

    @@Gracievision speedway tracks are only 1/4 mile or less top speed is 70 they have one gear and no brakes i guess what im sayin is you will never see these guys on speedway bikes on this track...lol

    The harley ran pretty good for bike powered originally by a bilge pump motor off the great lakes....only an idiot would have an air cooled motor where the front cylinder completely blocks the rear cylinder from the cooling benefits of wind....think about it!?

    I used to watch the American Riders in late 70s and saw a race with Bultaco Astros and now getting Old and ill i want to buy one Unfortunately not many came in UK. So since i cannot buy one trying to build a Bultaco Frankenstein looking for a Old Astro tank and seat to put on Pursang with Bultaco Go kart engine

    Tis strange watching two strokes l Flat track...screaming down the straight and odd sound when they pull co.pression release...!! I was already a flat track fan...when I first saw the two strokes race...I was riveted in place!! The power ...the fury..put me over the edge!! Love that stuff!!

    Yea...those old Bultaco 2-strokes can fly. Gotta figure out the throttle, though. They can bite if you don't dial it up smoothly. My 360 Champion got me more than once.

    Agreed. Thats why Marc Marquez and pretty much every other top rider in the world uses it as a discipline to improve their overall feel and control. If you've ever tried it then maybe I'll not laugh out loud at your total disrespect for the bravery and finesse these guys exhibit. 🙂
