Afro Samurai takes place in a post-apocalyptic world. Shichigoro's death is on himself because all he had to do was willingly give up the number 2 headband to Afro so he can get his revenge and then hide both headbands if Afro is ok with it. Also Samuel L. Jackson could've been Afro's Japanese VA if they made a Japanese version of it since he speaks Japanese.

@@MattMMyers Then everyone would still go after the number two, but also get the number one at the same time. The idea is "Conflict is pointless, and will make its own arbitrary rules." That's why in the manga, Afro loses, even when he wins.

The thing with Kotaro (the little kid at the end) it's that there's a timeskip in the manga. Kotaro is now older and faces Afro. By then, Afro is tired of all the conflict and wants to die, so he was planning on letting Kotaro win. But his body was so much on demon timing that it went on auto-pilot and cut Kotaro's head off, much to Afro's shock

so the thing about the afro with the kid at the end, he wasnt planning on winning that fight. his reflexes were just too good
Ok so here's one thing. The reason people were pissed at afro is because he didn't give anyone the number 2 headband and he actually made everything worse. People were killing for no reason. And some other people said stuff was better when Justice ruled. So that's why afro gave the little kid the number 2. You have yo give somebody the number 2. It's apart of the whole thing
What's worse about the Yasuke anime is that, Yasuke was areal person and instead of making the anime reflect his history as the black samurai,they turned the anime into a steam punk thing with sprinkles of magic.

Afro Samurai is great!,You know an anime is goated when you got not only Samuel Jackson but T.C Carson as well! (Voice for Afros Sword Master and the original Voice for Kratos from God of War.)
Watching this video bring back good times in high school, watching Afro Samurai on Spike TV. Having Samuel L. MF. Jackson as Afro's voice was gold and adding Mark Hamill and Lucy Liu in Afro Samurai: Resurrection was god like. My girlfriend just told me that she never watched it and she likes bloody animes, so just I just order it off Amazon and we will be watching it together comes in.
I've never seen Afro but damn this would have been gas watching as a kid, love this style of animation

I remember watching Afro on spike when it first came out
The two best parts of Afro Samurai are RZA's soundtrack, and the fact that Samuel L Jackson played *not just Afro,* but also Ninja-Ninja. Great voice acting, really makes them feel like two people.
