لم يكن الحاج عبدالرسول الاسكافي عندما طلب منه مسؤولو التعذيب بوازراة الداخلية في صباح السبت الثامن من شهر يوليو 1995 مستعداً لسماع خبر استشهاد ابنه، خصوصاً وان المسؤولين الذين تحدثوا معه وطلبوا منه الحضور إلى المستشفى لم يخبروه بالوفاة، بل قالوا ان ابنه مريض. ولم يخطر بخلَد هذا الرجل ان من صلاحيات القسم الخاص ممارسة التعذيب حتى الموت بحق المواطنين، كما لم يتوقع أن يصل مستوى تعامل الجهاز الذي يفترض فيه أن يكون ساهراً على أمن البلاد حد الاعتداء الجنسي على المواطنين من أجل "ضمان الأمن والاستقرار" في البلاد! وعندما اكتشف الرجل ما حدث لابنه كاد يموت على الفور، وأغمي عليه فعلاً بعد رجوعه من المستشفى ومعه جثة ابنه. كيف يكون شعور والد يرى جثة ولده ممزقة؟! وماذا يمكن أن يكون احساس رجل شهم كريم عندما يتخيل ما حدث لفلذة كبده وهو بأيدي "اللجنة" المشرفة على التعذيب والتي تضم الجلادين المعروفين عادل فليفل وخالد المعاودة وخالد الوزان وأضرابهم من القتلة والشاذين جنسياً؟ كان سعيد الاسكافي الذي ولد 7/3/1978 واحداً من شباب هذا البلد المعذب، الذي شارك في الانتفاضة المباركة ضد النظام الخليفي القمعي. وكان طالباً بالصف الأول الثانوي بالثانوية العامة الصناعية. وخرج في بعض التظاهرات شأنه كغيره من الشباب المتطلع لغد أفضل على أرض البحرين. عاش محروماً من حنان الاُم وحضنها الدافئ بعد أن توفيت والدته وتركته مع خمس أخوات وستة إخوة قبل بضع سنوات. يضاف إلى ذلك ثلاث أخوات وأخ واحد من والده الذي تزوج بعد وفاة والدته. كان جزاء هذا الفتى تلك المعاملة الوحشية على مدى ستة أيام في أيدي أكلة لحوم البشر وهي معاملة وصفها الأطباء الذين رأوا صور التعذيب على جسده بعد استشهاده بأنها جريمة يستحق مرتكبها المثول أمام محكمة العدل الدولية بتهمة الحرب ضد الإنسانية؛ فمنذ أن اعتقله الجلادون في 29 يونية وحتى وفاته يوم الأربعاء 6 يولية تعرض هذا المجاهد الغيور إلى معاملة وحشية وقاسية غير متوقعة في عالم اليوم خصوصاً وان حكومة البحرين تتشدق بعلاقاتها مع الدول المتحضرة. هذا الشاب الهادئ الوادع لم تكن له نوايا عدوانية ضد أحد، وإنما كانت مشاركته تعبيراً عن التضامن مع الشعب المستضعف. كانت آثار التعذيب تقرير حزب شاي كرك الاسلامي

This is free labor for the country they are coming to. Put them to work building roads and working in labor camps for 10 years. They get meals, medical, and housing in exchange. Then at there end of 10 years they can go into the military. One they are finished. They are a citizen. It's a much better life than what they had before.
