Africa by Toto Meets Metal
Музыка
Hey guys,
First off, happy 2014!! :) I've seen this one mentioned here and there and everytime i've see it i've always contemplated doing it. Currently I'm in "yes man" mode haha. I thought about and said YES MAN YES MAN YES! And p.s. I'm a HUGE Steve Lukather and Toto fan and I absolutely LOVE Andy Mckee's take on this so I figured I'd give it a shot. The request is long and fantastic, I can't wait to get to em for you guys this year. Thank you all so much for everything. It means the world. Big ups for all the comments, subs, messages, suggestions, donations, fan art, and support. You guys rock my casbah, all year long, ALWAYS!
Best to ya

WITH SMILE...:)
Look at this guy's smiling non stop. He's like a black hole of happyness, sucking away every bad vibe in a 50km radius. I suggest wherever there's conflict around the globe, they should send this guy in and let him play for an hour. Within 5 years we'd have world peace and all the hugs and kisses in the world. Keep smiling dude! Also nice playing btw.

It's just so heartwarming to see how he sings along while he plays :D True passion!
The thing I love about coming to watch this dudes videos are more than just the songs more than the metal, it's seeing the smile on this mans face knowing that he doesn't care who is fucking watching, he's just happy doing what he loves. Props to you, E, you are awesome.

@ 2:24 he blasts in with "Hold The Line" (for almost exactly a minute) & then right back to "Africa". What a cool & kick ass twist!
I just absolutely love the guitar from 0:34 to 1:37 its just incredible! Not to mention the whole song to me is just incredible
Dammit, man, stop making me cry. Beautiful.
Get Jinxed meets metal!! There must be some League of Legends players here, maybe they'll back me upon this. And also, this song is coming up everywhere since I saw it mentioned in Questionable Content...wtf xD very well done, sir, as per normal.

I was a member of my high school's most elite choir. Africa was one of the songs we sang acapella. Seeing you play it makes me really happy because it reminds me of some of the best times of my life with some of my favorite people. I'm going to share the crap out of this and I would definitely hit the like button a million times if it were possible. Thank you so much for brightening my day.

I love the Hold The Line breakdown. The first time I heard it, I was headbanging.

More than A Feeling by Boston! thumbs up!
I still can't believe how many times i'm still blown away by how the covers sound. Love them, keep it loud 331Erock!
Thanks young man. Your talented expression brought up really good vibes/memories from the '70's and 80's.
HOLY SHIT !!! Dude ! Toto is one of my favourite bands, I love you for this ! Fucking awesome thank you !!!
"Wake Me Up When September Ends" meets metal
You're seriously a legend :D
DAMN! How am I just NOW hearing this guy play for the first time?! You're a great guitar player and musician but I'm sure you know that by now. You're take on The Godfather is AWESOME! Since I first heard it played by Slash I thought it was the most beautiful piece of music I've ever heard. The fact that I loved the piece when it "meets metal" proves it cuz I honestly never thought I would like it in that style. You definitely proved me wrong! GREAT job Eric and TYVM for sharing so much of your work 😊
Man, never stop to smile, you are the best!
One day I got curious and click on one of those links that take you to website to learn "1 easy trick to get girls to love you". Turns out it was this video with "Learn to play guitar like this guy" written above it.
I freaking LOVE this guy! The more I listen, the more I enjoy it. What trips me out is that apparently he enjoyed doing this, he was smiling the whole time and you actually catch him singing a few of the lines from the chorus. This effing ROCKS! Keep it up, bro!
Honestly man, I fucking love having your jams on as background music as I work on misc. shit. Currently powering me through a DnD campaign I'm working on; converting the original Final Fantasy to DnD 3.5 You rip dude, I've greatly enjoyed your content over the last few years. Keep shredding 🤘🏻
Thank you so much for this !! :D Please do more classics !!! Maybe even some that are already metal, maybe you can power them up like "The clairvoyant" from iron maiden or "Twilight" by ELO and "September" by Earth wind and fire
I love this song and this is an amazing version of it! :)
Seeing you mouthing along to the words and smiling and looking so happy while you're making such BEAUTIFUL music is awe-inspiring. You brighten my day. Thank you.
One of my favorite Songs got even better. Thank you so much for that.

Woooooow absolutely love it. I like all of the meets metal you have done. But this one is my favorite because my dad was into all the 80's n 90's songs and well i wouldn't say im all about metal but i am a fan and wow this just blew my mind. Made me very happy. Thank you :)
Okay so you've basically taken my entire playlist of music and made it metal. I'm just gonna replace my playlist with your music.
I hear the drums echoing tonight But she hears only whispers of some quiet conversation She's coming in, 12:30 flight The moonlit wings reflect the stars that guide me towards salvation I stopped an old man along the way Hoping to find some long forgotten words or ancient melodies He turned to me as if to say, "Hurry boy, it's waiting there for you" It's gonna take a lot to take me away from you There's nothing that a hundred men or more could ever do I bless the rains down in Africa Gonna take some time to do the things we never had The wild dogs cry out in the night As they grow restless, longing for some solitary company I know that I must do what's right As sure as Kilimanjaro rises like Olympus above the Serengeti I seek to cure what's deep inside, frightened of this thing that I've become It's gonna take a lot to drag me away from you There's nothing that a hundred men or more could ever do I bless the rains down in Africa Gonna take some time to do the things we never had Hurry boy, she's waiting there for you It's gonna take a lot to drag me away from you There's nothing that a hundred men or more could ever do I bless the rains down in Africa I bless the rains down in Africa (I bless the rain) I bless the rains down in Africa (I bless the rain) I bless the rains down in Africa I bless the rains down in Africa (Ah, gonna take the time) Gonna take some time to do the things we never had
