Africa at the 2024 BRICS Games - Opening Ceremony
The solemn BRICS Games Opening Ceremony takes place in the Tatarstan capital city of Kazan on Wednesday, June 12. An international multi-sport is expected to welcome almost 5000 athletes from more than 90 countries in Kazan on June 12-23. The participants will compete in 27 athletic disciplines most popular in the BRICS member states.

Yes, in a way. Russia is excluded from Olympic games due to politics. But BRICS Games are a new way of celebrating athletes & respecting multi cultures.

Yes, but it's really fascinating to see that even NATO countries are participating there, and many of them, and quite important ones. In contrast with Russia in Olympics, which has banned Russia from participating in France

I'm very proud that all countries were invited no matter of their ideology, politics, purely out of their own will. Sports and any cultural manifestation should be held outside of politics !! Besides sports there should be a World Heritage Festival where all countries are invited to present their folklore and history !!
