Africa 360 - Zambia's independence 50 years on

18 October 2014, Johannesburg - In 1964 Zambia gained it's independence under the leadership of former president Kenneth Kaunda. As Zambians celebrate their 50 years of independence we look at the past, present and future of one of Africa's most peaceful countries.

    Great information. There are obviously bright minds on that panel who seem to clearly enough understand Zambia's current issues of concern. Pray to God that constitution gets through is my suggestion.

    The focus should have been on economic development instead of providing a forum to Mr Banda to criticize the current leadership. Certainly he has some valid points.

    It boils down to the President, Government, Politicians, Businessmen, all wanting to have the Power, the Say, the Influence - WHEN it is "We The People" who elect them and that power is OURS. They are our SERVANTS, the tail must NOT wag the dog. Until we, as a PEOPLE, as the EMPLOYERS, realize this, the buggers will run rampant!
