So 126 Million Dollars for security of the Parliament house that did not work. PM give that money back to Aussie people out of your own pocket.

So the AFP's first excuse for failing to prevent 3-4 knuckleheads with backpacks and carrying large bundles of rolled-up cloth from gaining unfetted access to arguably the most important building in the nation is that "They moved very quickly". *facepalm*. Oh, and penalising them by a ban on attending Parliament House in the future... wow, that'll send a strong message to anyone else with similar ideas. Job done, now we can get back to discussing diversity in the AFP. Christ... anywhere else in the world, these knuckleheads would be up against a wall.

They should be charged with the offence of terrorism as they have essentially attacked the Nations Parliament. They should be sentenced to jail time, at least a couple of years.

In my experience the AFP are very good at polishing seats and IT tasks, but when it comes to hands on Security Tasks, Riot control, Counter Terrorism, Protection and Security Tasks the number of officers trained for Tactical/ Counter Terrorist response is insufficient. Perhaps more EX Military members would be more suitable to these roles and should be actively recruited if they have the desired skill sets and create more opportunities for Veterans. If the AFPs actions on are to leave their post when other threats are called in what is the point of being there in the first place? Tactics one of one could have predicted this outcome. Australia needs to wake up, I predict that we will see a major Terrorist Act occur sooner than later if we don't pull our heads out of our rectums!
