Man, I'm a Richmond supporter, and it kind of cuts deep that we didn't pick Buddy in the draft when we had the chance, but even so, I was up cheering that boy play yesterday, and kick that winning goal. You couldn't have wrote a better script than that. Also, my mate fell cheering that goal, and dislocated his shoulder. A comedy classic.

I’ve been to some games with enormous crowds in my time but, this small crowd was the second loudest sound I have ever heard behind Cathy Freeman’s 400m final in Sydney. Truly unbelievable game. We had endured such a dry period as Hawks fans and we knew this was the beginning of something special. The following week almost didn’t seem to matter when we lost to North. We knew our time had arrived. One of the best games I’ve ever witnessed in my lifetime.

i remember sitting looking across the 50 metre line at buddy and just jumping up as he kicked it. it was the moment all the late ninety supporters had waited for we had finally won a final and that was enough, the best was yet to come however.

There is no doubt - Lance Franklin is the most exciting player since Wayne Carey. He's 6ft6" Marks everything that comes his way and moves like a Gazelle. He's got indigenous flair, he's still learning the game and has excitement written all over him. Go Buddy and GO HAWKS GO YOU GOOD THING

i remember being at this game and losing my voice at the point where buddy kicked the winning game. GO HAWKS!!!

i was on level 3 front row directly behind franklin, i was quiet the hole game, pissed off with all the free kicks adelaide had along with all the 50m penalities, when that goal went through it was best feeling i had in a long time, i almost started cring, even my wife doesnt care about footy but when it went through she was screaming also, best decision i made in going to this game, will never 4get it.

this clip shows lance franklin winning an elimination final in the last seconds, this will go down as a great moment in finals in the last moments of a game, sounded like there were 90,000 there when franklin kicks this goal, what an atmosphere. go hawks

Some Geelong supporters were saying the same about port adelaide before the Grand Final. Port played a few to many games in and Geelong's fitness was far superior on the day. No one would of beaten Geelong on how fit they were that late into the season.

In 2009 it was Jack Anthony who broke the crows heart, it was the crows fault, the gave the pies a lethal free kick inside 50. In 2010 it was Lance Frankin, the crows stupidly let the Hawks turn it over with ease and get it to Buddy. In 2011........ hahaha! They wont even make the finals! LOL

yeh this was awesome when this happen was so happy we made it through. Having said that the umps of our 2nd match vs roos were complete dogs the way they treated us that day. franklin your a superstar

hawks been working hard all year not just the last 3 weeks, the crows will never go all the way for a long time to come with their ageing list, its bottom 4 next season onwards for the loser crows. the baby hawks ran the game out against the grandpa crow team, hawks n power finals rematch of 2001, and we all know what happen that night and its gonna be a repeat of the thrashing the hawks gave the power in adelaide. go hawks!!!!!!!!
