I had just met my husband in 2007, when he told me I should listen to AFI and Sing the Sorrow (13 years married now), he was working as an artist in LA and hanging around the same clubs as these guys (and actually met Davey as well in LA, told me he was super nice), and at that time I was still going to art school in Finland and barely knew anything of AFI except that I had maybe seen one of their music videos on TV (Miss Murder), the imagery of that video kinda stuck with me. Catchy song too. It's actually a really good fucking song. I love the album as well, Decemberunderground, but for some reason... Crash Love is my favorite. My husband has been telling me that one day he will own this album on vinyl, and... been listening to that vow for a while now. I just bought it for him as a surprise ♥ I don't know when/how I will give it to him though. His birthday is coming up in March, but I don't think I can keep it as a secret for so long. So I think I will just give it to him as a thank you for... being him, and sticking with me for so long and encouraging me to be who I am ♥ And I think I just wanna tell him that year 2020 is the year, when you became the owner of Sing the Sorrow, so something good came out of this wretched time :P And I suppose the title of that album frames the picture of 2020 well too. Hope you have an atomic 2021 ...and time flies, when you're having fun in life ♥ Just an observation.

I was and scene/goth girl that had her emo days and i remember listening to AFI and MCR so much alongside my heavier European bands and hearing this again... it takes me back to dark and yet beautiful days of my teenage years.

What’s crazy is as good as this track was as an opening single, it doesn’t hold a candle to “Dancing through Sunday” or “This Cellioud Dream” which never hit the radio. Great album.

STS was on constant repeat when I was 15; this band took over my entire teenage life 20 years ago. Finally seeing them in concert (Carnivores tour) with Linkin Park and 30 Seconds to Mars was legitimately a religious experience for me. I sang and cried happy tears all through AFI’s 6 song set. Never let this music die.

This will always be my favorite song by them! My sisters and I would scream with the song every time it came on FUSE. To this day we will randomly yell with it when it pops up on a playlist or as a ringtone on our phones. Such a catchy song. I even dressed as the girl for halloween in 2013. Still get all fangirly whenever they play this song. It never gets old.

I wouldn't be here without these guys. in a time of hell and torment, from so called "Christian" family, from the kids at school, from mean Christians at school, from relationships, these guys were literally there to resonate with. I would be able to wake up each morning from listening to bands like them, and other bands who I could feel joy in the pain. I know God allowed or brought these guys in my life, or whatever you want to call it, to support me through times when no one else would, through music as a sense of solace. Forever and always 🔥♥️♠️

the album heavily deals with abandonment by god and the apocalypse like quite a lot of their records, which goes back to his Danzig inspiration listen to Son of Sam, daveys tribute to Danzig's Samhain

The interlude starting at 2:00 is so good, wish it lasted longer.

I saw them in concert for the first time 10 years ago when i was 15 years old. I was OBSESSED with them when i was a teenager. I got to meet Davey(singer) and Adam(drummer) after the concert and got both their autographs(still have them to this day). Anyway when Davey came out i couldn't breathe and couldn't speak because I had a massive crush on him. I mentioned the sign i held up during the concert and he said he saw it and liked it. Btw guys Davey is short. I stand 5'7 and he was maybe an inch or 2 taller then me. After i got his autograph i said to him "I love you!" and he smiled. I will never forget that day and am still stoked i met him.

I pooped today.

One of those songs that transports me right back to the Summer of '03. Graduated high school and drove around all summer blasting this album.

I'm 69 years old and have been listening to AFI since I was 9.

I may be 14, when these songs came out I was too young to really know But my god I'm making up for it now! I will forever listen to this band!

Getting to see them play when this album first came out was absolutely incredible. 2003, Vans Warped Tour. OMG! Hundreds of people loosing their shit. Oh wish I could be 18 again. 😥

It has passed 14 years and this song still sounds powerful!!!!

I might be 37 and decrepid now in 2024.. But whenever this song comes on I suddenly gain the ability again to do a jumping 360 spin kick as soon as the chorus breaks in like it was the first time I heard it ALL THE WAY BACK THEN! There's just songs you never get tired of.. No matter HOW MANY TIMES you hear it, however many years later! This is one of those masterpieces!! BRING ME BACK TO THAT AFI PIT 15 YEARS AGO WHEN THEY CRUSHED THIS SONG! ... Who's coming with me?!

I am 41 now... I was in my 30's when this Glorious Album came out. Still SO Relevant today, as ot was then. Oh .. & if AFI reads this, my 1st & Favorite Video of u guys was Days of the Phoenix!! ABSOLUTE Genius, Dave, Jade & Adam!! Love Sing the Sorrows Album also, guys!!

The vocalist is the reason for my taste in women.....

My daughter was in love with these guys 20 years ago, and introduced to this song, Silver and Cold, Love like Winter, etc. I was 43. I remember playing this on Rock Band on the 2nd generation iPhone. Time flys.
