Lucky asf too! Lets say the average weight of a person is 150. 800x150= 120,000 lbs. A typical 100 seater like a airbus a220 can take off with 156,000lbs and land with 133,500 max. Also didn’t take to account cargo and fuel. One false calculation and it could have been over.

If they didn’t jump off there dead it’s sad but Even if they were able to hang on for that long which is impossible but even if someone manage to find a way the lack of oxygen at that altitude and the speed would kill a person in seconds and if anyone hit the ground and somehow did survive which is possible but slim the amount of pain they would feel before they would die would be too much for the body to handle

I agree. I feel sorry for all those Afghan people, and it’s rather disgustingly horrifying what happened. I’m certain many died as a result of trying to grab onto a plane and losing their grip, being crushed in a landing gear (as one clip of a disturbing video showed), or diced by the wing turbine engines. It’s disturbing to watch this.

It's not our fault the Afghanistan people don't have the will to fight for themselves or their families. 🇺🇸😔

My heart Breaks for all these people! Everyone should feel free and safe in their own home country not having to desperately leave everything they love just to ensure another day of life.

@Sandra Arias I agree! I can’t imagine what those pilots were feeling as they watched people climb on and fall off their jet! Seeing people so desperate that they climb onto the wings of a C-130 as it’s getting ready to take off is something I haven’t seen even by Hollywood standards!

Of course the United Arab Emirates accepts the 800 refugees, the country itself, especially Dubai, uses slavery for cheap labor. They take advantage of Indian and Bangladeshi immigrants; thus, I can only assume that they’ll do the same to the refugees.

@@theofficialsteven It's not that easy dumbass. This situation breaks my heart too and I wish there was something I could do to help these people. But I'm living thousands of miles away in the Philippines, plus I'm working class and don't have that much money or resources to help, and also my country has a travel ban right now due to Covid. That doesn't mean I can't express sympathy for the Afghan people.

Many Americans including me say Afghanistan is one of the most beautiful and friendly countries and now its in chaos

I can’t imagine being in that situation. I can watch these videos over and over again but I can never come close to feeling that fear and pain. I feel terrible for those people.

America helped them for 20 years, the second we leave they let the Taliban take over? That is ridiculous, and obviously we don't want to stay there forever. If they aren't willing to fight for their freedom then it's their own loss. 20 years of help and they won't resist the Taliban on their own.

Afghanistan is such a beautiful country with wholesome people. Sucks that their government is so corrupt ruining everything.

This is supernatural. How can these people run behind this cargo plane without being blown to bits by the engines as they propell with a wind gust stronger than the mightiest hurricane. Simply amazing. Almost unbelievable.

Seeing a little girl running amidst the chaos; a man dressed in a full suit yet running full speed; the sheer desperation of those clinging to the sides... it's simply heartbreaking. These people, like many millions of others, deserve so much better.

@Marc Anthony Jr. We've been fighting there for 20 years and nothing has changed. We've used trillions of dollars and lost thousands of troops. What difference would it make if we left in May instead? If you're so tough, you should go fight the Taliban yourself. Leaving in May won't make a difference for the Afghans. But it will for the troops. No need to waste more American lives.

@Marc Anthony Jr. you have to look at it, from Biden's pov. A lot of american soldiers were being killed defending not even their own country. This arrangement was costing america a lot from the past years. This is just how the world works, we need to help ourselves no one will be here forever. All presidents need to make harsh decisions to safeguard THEIR country.

Shows how committed the Afghan people were for freedom. Freedom comes at a cost...... and they were not willing to make the payment and were wanting others to do it for them. All the Afghan soldiers would do is use their months worth of fuel in 5 days, (they would sell the fuel and come back and ask for more). Inventory would be "misplaced", and they NEVER took the front foot when engaging the enemy. All they cared about was the money..... how is that working out for them now?!

Imagine the terror of not wanting to be in your own country, that you risks hanging on an air plane only to your death. This is beyond sad and heartbreaking 💔 🙏🏼

Talibans waited and got weapons and reinforcements, they read the Americans and knew when to strike. It’s bad for the Afghanistan community but if the Americans opened fire who knew how many of them would die.

Yes, the same desperation by ordinary citizens to escape a violent regime. I remember the footage from the fall of Saigon on the evening news. It was the stuff of nightmares, just like this footage and this takeover. So glad I'm free, white and 21. Everyone deserves freedom from oppression.
