As an Afghan-American, most people are unaware that before the Soviet invasion, Afghanistan was on track to becoming a modern nation. In 1963 JFK graciously invited the King of Afghanistan to the United States to establish a plan to modernize the country. Sadly those plans fell through after his assassination.

As a car enthusiast, I was definitely taken away by the vehicles design! It definitely has an attitude! There’s absolutely nothing wrong when sharing the heart of the beast from Toyota! I am sure the founder of the company has his reasons for using a four-cylinder engine, rather than a V-6, or a V-8! I have a lot of Afghan friends, some of the most amazing people in my life. This is a major accomplishment for a country that has been in the war for nearly 50 years and for this young man to come up with this beautiful design just goes to show that afghans never give up! Wish you nothing but success, peace and prosperity.!!Respect from Los Angeles, California the Mecca of automobiles!

It’s only impressive because they are a people with nothing. It’s the same as those videos making fun of Africans for making crappy looking airplanes from random junk that barely fly. They have nothing but their brains and they’re able to make something of that scale by hand, with less than desirable material, and no funding. That’s the real reason it’s in the news, not because it competes with the latest corvette.

@@Muham434 Damn you really got me there from your mud hut in Afghanistan. Building a car requires millions in investment and testing aswell as propper engineers whom can design their own licensed motors. You can go to any mechanic and ask if they can switch Motors. They just built a shell from scratch and then pinned it on an already existing structure. If you are patriotic and defensive about that you truly are pathetic. That is why it is impressive when countries can manufacture their own cars with innovative engineering and fuel mechanics. But no, no. You will be proud over the sandcastle your goverment made and say it's Burj-Khalifa. Stay poor.

Porsche because Porsche went bankrupt making a LeMans-winning car, and these guys are on the same stage. Where Ferrari were a legendary at Motorsports with a heavy cash flow, and Ford spent 2 Billion Dollars on developing a LeMans winning car, it's only the Porsche who went all in for winning at LeMans, now this guy is dreaming the same dream. Good Luck to him

@@AbuHajarAlBugatti you are ignoring 2 points. 1. Germany had been an industrial powerhouse before the war. Germany was bombed to oblivion but Germany's technical and industrial capability never really went away as a result. Germany was so advanced that prior to WWII, it was German not English in which leading scientific works were published. German scientists were cherry-picked by major powers, their war crimes forgiven just so that they could join their new hosts. Afghanistan never had such a technical or scientific industrial base. This is all new to them. There is absolutely no comparison to be made between Germany and Afghanistan. 2. WWII went on for how long? 6-7 years? Afghanistan has been a war zone for nearly 50 years now, give or take a few years. There was the unrest before the Soviet-Afghan War. Then there was the Soviet-Afghan War. Then there was an intervening period where Afghanistan was ravaged by warlords. Then there was the US-Afghan War. In this period, generations of Afghans were displaced and wiped out. There were kids who were born, grew up, and died never even having gone to school. There is no comparison to be made between post-WWII Germany and Afghanistan. You should give them a lot of credit for trying to do something like this in a country like Afghanistan.

So basically anything on this car except its exterior(looks) is bought from other car companies. Also this is a prototype built that still has no mass prodction and you dont even see videos of it being able to drive
