to be completely honest, i believe the scorching problem would be easily solved if they just removed scorching. just make planes bozo

nah but scorching was a real thing, you just shouldn't be allowed to full scorch. And if there were cheap and quickly built helicopters that could take out fires (scorched cities) then scorching would be balanced as it could easily be countered by just keeping rescue helicopter above any tank group you have using the hold formation button.
This better not be one of those A-Z series where they like stop at the 3rd episode
