I love that whole area, it's just stunning. I don't find that tunnel scary, but I think it's ugly, like 1960's architecture lol. Been through it many times. Great video Em with lovely music. Made a note of the aire so thank you. 😊

It’s gorgeous isn’t it, especially when it’s dry & sunny 😂 Yeah, hate that tunnel, but I think it stems from going through it on dark nights on the way back from our grocery bulk buys years ago ☺️ Hate it even more in the van though 😅 Just a heads up, there’s no services at the stopover, it is just a park up, no bins or waste etc. (you can do this at the aire up the road though) Thanks for the lovely comment, Em 💜

this has been such an adventure em! it's been such a great series for y'all too! loved seeing a cyclist out there enjoying the views. that plaid van was cool! is the nc500 a famous route? it's been very dreary here, so the blue skies were especially nice when you had them. the tunnel is cool! but those tight squeezes, esp the big trucks would be very nervous making. what a view at that camp and for so cheap! close to 2000 mi is a big trip. emotions run high when memories are the strongest. ❤ best to you, gary, and charlie 🛴❤

Just watched your van tour, then this one. We have just downsized to a similar, but slightly different layout professional Pannel van conversion. I love the places you have visited on this blog, we have been up Loch Caron on our7.5m coachbuilt and I remember that narrow road & tunnel. We had a bbq on the loch side at Loch Carron, which was memorable as our last van had a great pull out gas bbq. We’ll be heading off on new adventures too so your tips and stops are great to consider when planning where to go. Thanks and safe journey from a new subscriber to your channel.

@@vansforthememories after 3 years of Motor homing I started using my parks 4 night APP properly, I found it so easy staying in the Brecons, rolling up to random pubs and asking if we could park overnight which was always greeted by a No problem! Normally book and pay for sites, not any more. Thanks for your reply. Happy camping.

Such a stunning place! Loved Torridon and those famous mountains. That viewpoint is stunning on a day like that!! So so beautiful 😍😍😍😍 And that cool little Tartan campervan!! Missing Skye is just so understandable - those landscapes are seared on my memory and I've never lived there!! What a cool park up in Kintail - brilliant for £5 - could you get water there Em? Love this vid and the whole tour - will be interesting to see how quiet it will be for us. Three weeks to go for us a few sites booked, ferries booked - like kids at Christmas!!!

Hi both 👋 We were blessed with a beautiful day for that part😁 The van was so cute & we kept bumping into it (not literally) 😂 Yes, Skye is a very special place to me ☺️ Unfortunately, there’s no bins, water or waste at that Kintail Pitstop, but, a little further up the road you have Auchentire Aire, you have all those services there, if you don’t want to sleep there, you can pay for just a service drop & stay at the pitstop instead. I bet you’re so excited! I’m so glad you’ve enjoyed the series. Thanks, for putting up with us. Em 💜

Last time we were on that road it was not bikes but unicycles we had to negotiate LOL. Asda Carlisle just where we go to fuel and only 500yds from the motorway.

Not been to Scotland for quite a while now, life seems to get in the way. I always hate leaving, and that first England sign makes me feel miserable!!!! Alright when we get back home though! Hope we can go again soon, but probably not this year.

@@vansforthememories Hopefully going to Wales later this year. Hubby runs a boxing club, even though he is 73 this year! He has trouble getting the coaches to take over for a while and can't afford just to close it. I want him to let it go now, but its his baby. We went away more when he was working!!!!

I am a retired person and I want to the 500. in Scotland I started in in Burnett and went round the East Coast of Scotland and I. camp took all the campsites and I spent 3 and a half weeks It was most enjoyable at the I'd like to go back up there place. is like Arasai W. on the West Coast is very. beautiful but will that we're waiting June and we've. I have lovely weather but certainly recommend it. But the problem is people who try to go round in five days there an absolute idiot. Uh because they tried to run you off the road and. they don't take the beauty of Scotland in I love Scotland but by. for now.

Welcome to the channel John😎 So glad you got to experience it, it’s so beautiful up there! What was your favourite campsite? We were out a month in total, but not all of that was spent on the 500 😊 We’d like to do it again starting in the opposite direction & spend much longer there. Yes, there are some who don’t stop & just drive it at speed, it’s a shame as they’re missing out. We’ve not been to Arisaig for a long long time, we must take a trip back. Hi Simon 👋 We mainly use sites & Aires, but when we do “wildcamp” we will have empty black & grey to start with & when we need to dispose of this, we will either go to an aire or a campsite, who offer “dump” services for approx £5. Hope this helps & Thanks for your question 😁 Em 💜
