Thank you indeed for your presentation and your very useful comments and explanations. Last year I bought from AMAZON the vertical stand for my DREMEL's extension. I have to say that I am totally disappointed with the quality of this DREMEL extension, I just threw it away. I shall definitely buy a PARKSIDE now.

Thank-you, I snagged the soldering iron. Fantastic little iron and no electrical cord getting in the way. Suprisingly light and well balanced. 👍👍

Excellent thank you. The beauty of the crimpers is that the wire stripping is automatically adjusted. Flat or round twin and earth sheathing can be stripped and then the 2·5 wire within.

Hello from Australia :) We don't have a Lidl here in Sydney (I think there's one in Melbourne). My philosophy with buying things from Aldi is that if I get 12months' use out of them I'm happy. If I had the money I'd buy a genuine Dremel or AEG/Ryobi, but I don't own golf courses :P Aldi's good enough for now. And their specialty English cheeses are nice, too.

Very good tip (pun not intended) for the soldering iron tips , before fitting to the iron , dab some heat sink compound on iron, this does two things 1/ gets hotter and 2/ stopped the tip corroding to the iron. {I'm a long served electronic engineer}.

I have a load of Lidl-Parkside 20V power tools. They really are very good. The two speed drill is as good as my equivalent but elderly DeWalt. The impact driver is excellent. The 1/2” impact “wrench” is overkill. I almost always end up with the breaker bar. The 4” circular saw cuts left. I need to try and align the base to the blade.

I agree, nice tools and a great video! Aldi & Lidl we started by two brothers who disagree on how to run the business the tools are not the best tools, but the quality most of the time is above average and the price is below average, so you get a great deal for the price and if you're lucky you can find it on sale at discount for even cheater! Both stores are great places to shop! Thank you!

Hi Dan, the soldering iron works quite well but as you say getting spare tips is a problem. I followed the guide which refers you to an on line site. However after faffing about with it, a screen politely tells us that they do not ship to the UK which is a little unhelpful. Having said that I used it on a test item and it proved quite capable. Thanks for making us aware of these handy bits and pieces! 😉

The Multimeter can be simply modded to send reading to a PC. Alas the soldering iron is rubbish compared to the Miniware TS100 and I'd recommend you save money and buy the TS100 over any Parkside/Ferrox cordless soldering iron.

Lidl have a few interesting items in. First is a 308 piece Cable Tie and Cable Clip Set. Next is an 80 piece Alligator Clip Set. 40 with red sleeving and 40 with black sleeving. Finally, there's a file set. 4 large files (flat, round, triangular and half round), 12 small files, and a file card.

Thanks for the review Dan, I was wondering if the mini grinder came with some spare brushes as you didn't specify this point. An important part to remember when buying these rotary tools as ordering later on can be difficult, it looks well built though.

Beware of the park side solder as it contains lead It does say so on reverse of the reel Comes with the corded Parkside soldering iron I like the cordless soldering iron and a better soldering station Love your reviews and I would buy some tools based on your research Haven’t seen the Aldi range of tools before so thanks for introducing them to me Look well worth investing in

Only problem with our local Lidl's is you have to buy something or you get a parking ticket! Being close to the town centre they stop people using it as a free carpark by making you enter your registration and scanning a till receipt when you leave. There is another branch, but that's a 45 minute drive away - or longer in the summer, with all the visitors here...

I have the Parkside version of the stripper and crimps set, I found the crimps very subpar and the stripper very temperamental. I still rely on my old BR set of duckbill strippers that work superbly decades old, me dad nicked them off a mate on the S&T for when I rewired my 1961 British built Vespa late eighties and still working :)

I can attest to that :) Most people don't feel like cleaning their tools, blowing the dust out, etc. (Or don't understand the use of a clutch on a hand drill, and just push through beyond a machines capabilities) I find that the Parkside tools are actually manufactured to better specs than some name brand ones (Bosch green, Stanley, etc) - the motors are wound with thicker wire too, to accomodate higher amps and give more torque. And yes - I use them a lot. Not daily, but definitely more than usual I've not had a single tool fail on me yet (knock on wood), and my mom even has a 15 year old Parkside sander - the case is falling apart, but the tool is fine :)

You said on a previous video about possibilities of getting new parts for the bench grinder you bought, the company that makes parkside tools is a german company called einhell, hope this is of some use to you, I have several parkside tools and cannot fault them for both performance and longevity.

Check the heads on the Parkside grinder but I have the Dremel, Parkside cordless and Ferrex Cordless (btw the Parkside is the worse of the 3!) but what I want to point out is that some accessories are interchangeable between all 3 using the collar screw but some dont. Again I found better compatibility with the Dremel and Ferrox sets. Edit: Oh that's interesting, the brushes can be replaced!

I use a lot of lidles tools and there is nothing wrong with them as I also have makes such as De-Walt and I don't see much of a difference as they do the same job and Lidles got a better warranty as they are 3 years and de-walt is one, also lidl is much cheaper as on building sites they do get pinched and for say £40 is much less of a loss than for say £300.

Your annoying me with your wire stripping 😂 I was taught by extremely good techs, and you did it once cut a longer piece and use the plastic outer sheath to aid you in entwining the wire, now you can tin it with solder or now cut it off to size. Also to aid with your micro soldering maybe a bench magnifier light, that takes the effort out of soldering on the smaller scale.

Those cassettes of drill bits are exceptionally good. Made by Conmetall / Meister in Germany which is a very respectable manufacturer (The HSS metal bits are very good too - sharp and strong) Parkside power tools are also very reliable and powerful. (Got a 20V drill, impact driver (€60 + 2Ah battery & charger), sawzall (€50 + 2Ah battery & charger) oscillating multitool (€30), angle grinder (€70 + 4Ah battery), and a handheld vacuum (€20).. All this for about €200 total.. All the same 20V series. . The osc. multitool rattles a bit when using it (Everything else is sturdy as hell), but it doesn't impede the use at all. I have this multimeter too. Accurate, auto-ranging (but on the slow side) And the multi-grinder / dremel I got for €20 (same as yours: came with the stand, etc) . Very good value - works as well as my dremel The soldering iron - I have the same one, but branded by FERM. Warms up ridiculously fast! It's the only one I use now for fine work. For bigger things (fixing hi-fi stereo equipment and so on) I have to use my 230V irons.. But for connecting wires and so on - I was surprised how well it worked!
