The problem is you still pay for the bad public education through your tax dollars. We need a law that attaches the costs of education to the child and is portable to wherever the child goes to school.

Not a bad idea. I also like it because I never got to have kids, I’ll save a lot of money that I’ve paid (& will continue to pay) in taxes to schools for everyone else’s kids….

I love this idea because when Children are taught with the right values they grow with it more authentic Christian Schools should come up

Do not confuse any one political party with the kingdom of God. Do not confuse a political party platform for the Bible. These are not the same.

Also, the tax payer should be able to designate what school should receive their tax funds

I think we should also designate which police depts and fire stations should get our funds.

Home school is the way to go. Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6. I wish I had this conviction when my children were younger but it’s never too late.

i agree, im homeschooled and i learn much better from The Church, Priests, Saints, And God, then the modernistic filth they teach in schools today.

I am going to be homeschooling my daughter with Memoria Press Classical Curriculum! So excited.

I use that curriculum, and it is amazing! This will be our second complete year, starting our third year with 3 students now... Jr. K, K, and 3rd grade. I started with my oldest in 1st and my only regret was not trusting myself to teach her and putting her in our local catholic school for Kindergarten. She ended up being quarantined the last 3 months and was not ready for first grade, so we worked slowly but surely and now she is back up to speed. She thrives in her studies, now, and it's just such a complete education. She has learned way more than I ever did at public school and I have learned so many interesting, new things along side her.

Most families can't afford Christian education. They don't have the $ . They do homeschooling because both parents work. Some families don't have jobs. The middle class is evaporating !!!

Most families live mcmansions and financing cars etc. The families you described are poor and they can go to Christian schools on a scholarship. The middle class on large is making bad financial decisions

from where I am, homeschooling are rejected at the door.

We use Memoria Press for our Classical Education for homeschool. It’s a great option for homeschoolers.

Need options to Christian schools in west LA area. Also some Christian online schools wouldn’t mind home schooling any suggestions ??

You can apply for a charter like Blue Ridge and homeschool your kids with public school funds in West LA. You supplement with paying for any Christian curriculum yourself but Blue Ridge will cover the rest. Memorial Press has online Classical Christian homeschooling but mainly for older children. As a parent you still would need to be involved. There are not a lot of Christian options in West LA. There is Calvary in the Palisades and a Catholic school in the Brentwood area and another in Westwood. Options are slim.
