    Terrible refereeing.... Super late stoppage the ref shoulda seen he was way outclassed and it was only gonna get worse as the match went on and he was just gonna get knocked out or seriously hurt.... That ref is a bum... He's got about as much reffing skill as he's got hair

    Because he was fighting a natural lightweight at lightheavyweight, the strength level ain't same, Izzy had more lean muscle and bigger bones Melvin even lost a match to Nate Diaz by submission

    He's more like Silva than Jones. Silva is an elite striker, Jones is just average at striking but a very good wrestler who uses his height to stay out of striking range

    Melvin to this day was one of the most physically gifted lightweights ever, put mentally never got it together. He had a great run from 2010 to mid 2011 with a title shot within his grasp, he lost to Joe Lauzon and never found consistency in his career ever again.

    Melvin ever had good defense. He was just always explosive. A smaller Tyron Woodley like fighter as far as stand up.. sad thing is, he never seemed to improve in his career. He lost every fight nearly the same way

    I REALLY hope this is the last fight for Melvin Guillard. I admire his tenacity but the guy hasn't had a win in almost 4 years. Hopefully, this complete domination is the rude awakening he needed to throw in the towel and start putting his health first while he still can. Got to meet him in person once while he was in WSOF and won his fight. He was cool and friendly, so I really want to see someone with that kind demeanor to be less reckless with his well-being and retire with pride.
