Match types are not enough anymore. The pin system is broken and matches need to last longer plus wrestlers need more endurance.

the pin system is thhe 90s and not broken . The game is great and just needs matches . Go plaay the older games . I still have WWF Royal Rumble on Genesis. It only has 1 arena and 1 game mode with a very small roster . Came out in 89 .

I feel the same. I love AEW and the game is fun at times and I still play. I think if they spent more time on the CAW and have online community to download community CAWs would have made this game more popular. When WWF War zone from ps1 has better match types and CAW from over 20 years ago that says a lot. Like you said, they should have not announced it so early. The engine is pretty solid, just needs some minor tweaks. I do the controls way better then the 2k wwe games.

It needs a complete overhaul. Get rid of the arcade style and mix in the engine with some simulation. If they don’t plan on being innovative with their gameplay, they should at least try to copy the later svr games.. and most importantly it should be filled with wrestling content that’s expected for todays standards

I think the issue was Yuke’s. How was a budget and expectations not talked about think of the early interviews. Something doesn't add up.

They should cut losses with this game and partner up with the team at Ultra Pro Wrestling like OVW did for now just to have something out there for fans to play… while continuing to work on a new game with different developers fine tune the current engine and update the graphics and complete overhaul of CAW mode most importantly take the their time and get it right. Just my thoughts…

I know your new here as it shows but each time the discussion comes up I’ve covered different elements based around lack of improvement, dissatisfaction with its updates/dlc, & terrible business practice model. The title of the video is the subject being discussed of course but the content in question has changed. The game is still being updated because of contract obligations not because it has plenty of support from its fans…..the game has been on clearance for a while now & even so hardly anyone plays it

The game being dead relies on feedback. the fact that just about every person I’ve discussed this topic in my community & on youtube which own it they never play it , deleted it & want nothing to do with it wishing they never purchased it. @@ericmacgillivray537 contracts & obligations are what is continuing the dlc updates. Some may def get on it occasionally so in theory it’s not fully dead , sure. The reality of the landscape is that fight forever is in bad shape. Very bad shape when every single person that I ask about it either avoided the game altogether or gave up on it almost immediately. I feel like a fool because not only did I buy the game on two platforms I also bought every dlc & have pitched in to their terrible format..Cmon you cant really justify this game when even an anonymous source that worked on it complained about the product & what it became.

The Current game is dead game time to stop with DLC and get new game providers and start on new one.

Yeah idk how they can in good faith continue to work on a dead product that just isn’t producing, I know they have contracts & all but it’s all operating at a loss as is

If blood is what keeps you playing your pretty sick. As for the rest of it, there's just nothing to do in the game. Aew is finished. The next DLC will be the last because there's just no money in it. Yukes amd THQ are finishing the work they've Been paid for. It's not made any profit, and it's not making them any money to justify continuing to work on it. Kennys promise of it being continuously updated were let down because people didn't buy it. Nobody plays it to justify adding much more. They'll charge more for the DLC to make their money back, but they won't work for free in the hope that people will come back and pay more money. They've already lost too many players to fund the game. I'd go as car to say that this current DLC only made them a few thousand dollars. They are millions off making their mark.

Ultra Pro Wrestling is everything this game could have been. Just from a creation/gameplay perspective. I enjoy FF as it gives me a wrestling game on my switch. However, I rarely if ever play it at home when I have 2k24 or emulation of old N64 wrestling games.

@@panicman10-js1oi the developer of UPW has said that DLC will be priced by the wrestlers or their estates. UPW just gets a cut when someone buys a character. It’s based on the AKI engine which didn’t have much button mashing so I’m not sure what you’re talking about. And if UPW sucks, it should have videos made about it if it over promises and under delivers. AEW FF deserves the shit it’s getting for not having basic features wrestling games had 5,10,20 years ago. If you love FF that’s awesome. But people rejected this game long before videos like this came out.

Nah 2k22 they got a whole new development team. 2k22 23 & 24 are all amazing and bring that same fun as the old school games
