Lyrics:
I drag in the cat that drag in the conversation piece, Yahweh-forsaken elite, hemlock in the pot every day of the week, I’m a lot, reach in, even the odds, or evolve into mystery meat for the broth, who’s eating? Scream for his mom all evening, moxie a seasonal fog, palmful of grease, ski through “keep out” signage, weed in his sock, beacon of snot, knee-deep evil to plot through a fever, maid threw his Rod of Asclepius out, spring and bell exploding through my Polartec, got a soul and vessel, don’t coalesce, got a nosey compulsion to overstep, I write 8-bit maps for the “so depressed”, from the croc in the moat to the gold in the chest, notice I don't program any actual way to progress to convey an effect, hot Vinyasa To bated breath, that fray, that plague, that bayonet, that hate, that face of death, that all-in-together, I'm afraid that train has left, I ain’t wade through bullshit or baby step, pop off in the flesh, no beta test, I bump Raisin’ Hell, I make raisin bread, raised on wolf’s milk and Eraserhead, I’m all good, quietly hacking away at a hideous riff on the formula, what is the work if it isn’t a ticket to slip into vivid euphoria, huh?
I brought gauze, 2 kinda knives, carrots for the horse, tie his own flies, if you coming bring soap, something for the cough, a million feet of rope, maybe more gauze
Ey, gray beard, wayward, parade wave and vacate the framework, phased out, trade for blank stapes and bait worms, eek, ease in the weeds, no safe word, K? No kayfabe, all true tales from the pay-grade, heavy on malaise and away games, the tip-toe tailed by a trail of craters, I am way too Canis Major, et tus? Lemme guess you tout the brave few then make Jesus take the wheel by day 2, I don’t really pander or plan to behave, the police sketch is a hand from the grave, unholy, don’t Luminol the upholstery, his poor old Nona would roll on her rosary, I know, I go from a homie to bogey and ghost, I’m sorry if you know me I as both, I still float hearts from the haystack, I give free hugs in a plague mask, I don’t trust none of y’alls love to be more than a cheap toy gun with a “bang” flag, ey, sultan of simple fare, no lie, roll by, we can lick the air, it’s an appeasement gesture, not a rib tip rare, but the bistro don’t split silver hairs, I made peace with a lot but a lot of it sits, still, genuine props on the bottomless pit, backseat drive with a lazy drawl, I don’t aim to please, I don’t aim at all, I’m ok, actively seeking to under-develop his sentimentality, why am I here if it isn’t effectively cutting the hellions out of me, huh?
I brought gauze, half a dozen flares, couple clean jars, strike anywheres, if you coming bring fuel, map of the stars, any canned food, maybe more gauze

He's definitely not underrated just under heard. Go ahead and try to spread his work... I'm guessing you might hit one in ten people even if they don't suck. It's just what it is... If you're with it you're all the way but I feel like it's too idiosyncratic or requires too much work or whatever the case may be for mass appeal. He's been putting out too much unearthly sh!t for too long and has a wide enough base... If he was going to be a household name it would have happened already.

Dude go listen to Appleseed, he’s been using the triplet flow sparingly since the beginning-pretty sure he uses it because it sounds cool, not to own the “mumble (c)rappers.” C’mon let’s try to be less elitist than the average teenage Eminem fan here. Honestly one of my favorite things about this whole album was Aes expanding and updating his range of flows.

I really like the flow and cadence of this song. I love how he goes from just tearing up this beat to triplets.
Isty bitsy fork and spoon! The sample at the end had me tripping, I remember that from my childhood! - Psalty Kids Praise 5 video Joseph Spurgeon posted the whole thing as "Psalty Goes Camping." This beat is so good
Maybe it just happens when you've been doing it for as long as him, but I think Aesop's line "I don't aim to please, I don't aim at all" is kind of hilarious. Way back on Big Bang, he said quite the opposite, "I rock 'ready, aim, fire,' while you rock 'ready, fire, aim.'" Change in his character? Maybe. Probably just running out of words in the dictionary, considering how many he uses each song.

Felt like Mikey was standing there next to Aes when he was drawing out the parameters of this album. Esp. The Intro!
The outro is from Kids' Praise! 5: Psalty's Camping Adventure. Aesop, Ian, was raised in a very catholic family. So I'm sure this was something forced on to him as a kid in 1985.
Once I hurd at the gates the day the cd was dropped I bought the album and im so happy I did its fuck amazing
Aesop is hip-hop's diamond in the rough. I've been listening to Ace since I was 16, so a couple years shy of two decades. I've always been fascinated by his lyrics, and inspired by his genuine uniqueness. There's nothing like Aesop's flow. His older stuff especially has this nostalgic effect on me... sort of like listening to Boards of Canada?: Ace's music puts me in a certain frame of mind. It's grounding, yet liberating. Much respect and admiration.
