AES Summit: Traore and Tchiani freely walk over 10 kilometers in the streets of Niamey in Niger
At around 4pm local time in Niger on July 5th 2024, the Burkina Faso Air force Airbus C295W tactical transport aircraft of registration number XT-MBH, that was carrying the Burkinabe President Captain Ibrahim Traore touched down at the Diori Hamani international airport in Niamey, to mark his arrival in the Sahel country for the scheduled inaugural summit of the heads of state of the Alliance of Sahel States.
Upon the plane coming to a halt after leaving the runway, the Burkinabes found hundreds of Nigeriens having converged at the airport and its vicinity, ready to accord them the kingly reception that they deserve.
Among those Nigeriens was the Head of State Brigadier General Abdourahmane Tchiani, who had personally travelled to the airport to welcome the youthful leader, who is not just a darling of the masses in Niger but globally.
And thus, once he had disembarked from the plane, Captain Ibrahim Traore was first greeted by the Nigerien leader, and they shared a moment of moving and brotherly greetings.
Accompanying the Nigerien leader at the airport were high ranking members of his government, among them prime minister Mahaman Lamine Zeine, and after the Burkinabe leader inspecting a guard of honour that had been mounted for him, they took a moment to allow their respective delegations to familiarize themselves with each other.
And before leaving the airport, the Burkina leader took some time to pray, together with Nigerien religious leaders who had also turned up at the airport to receive him.
Then what surprised the world most was that after their brief chat at the airport's presidential lounge, they didn't hope into their cars right away but rather decided to walk while moving from the airport to the Presidential palace, which is close to 20 kilometers west of the Diori Hamani international airport.
It was not an easy trek but a worthy one, since along the way, thousands upon thousands of Nigeriens had lined along the streets of Niamey to greet them, and kept cheering them on as they moved, and many could be heard chanting supportive slogans as seen here.
It's to be noted that the three heads of state of Mali, Niger and Burkina Faso had been set to hold the first or rather inaugural summit of the Alliance of Sahel States on June 6th 2024, with the aim to among other things strengthen cooperation between the three AES member countries, to better coordinate their efforts in the fight against terrorism, and to promote economic and social development in the region.
Established on September 16th 2023, the Alliance of Sahel States aims to be a collaborative platform for Sahel states to align resources and strategies to face their common challenges.
Thus, the Niamey meeting symbolizes unity and solidarity between the Sahel nations, which are facing persistent security crises.

Extraordinarily leadership quality is one who recognises success is when all are celebrated as one perfectly oiled machine. So proud of these leaders and Ibrahim Traore who took the first step to unify his people and country for Africa ❤❤❤

Indeed this is Arica should welcome it's future true leaders who prepared to defend the mother land and it's people,it's mineral and it's sovereignty, as a South African and a Pan African I strongly believe Cmd Julius Malema could visit The Sahel trio this year, to cement the brother hood.
Was it necessary to detail the specifics regarding the airbus' registration, etc?
