Aerosmith - One Way Street
Lyric:
Hey look yonder
What's that I see
Well that old bogus, honey
Comin' after me
I goin' told you
Was out of town
I wonder how she knowed
I was hangin' around
Say, listen babe
Don't go wastin' your time
You keep comin' 'round
You'll hear the same old line
You got a thousand boys
You say you need 'em
You take what's good for you
And I'll take my freedom
'Cause lately it's been so hard
I've been makin' ends meet
And honey, you're headin' down a
One Way Street
And I gotta go the other way
(heh, heh, heh)
I thought I knew her
My cagey lady
How come my sunshine
Was so damn shady
She'll say she love to talk
A conversation
But I'm the one
Who makes my situation
This one way city
That I thought I knew
It's such a pity, honey
That's it for you
'Cause lately it's been so hard
I've been makin' ends meet
And honey, your headin' down a
One Way Street
And I gotta go the other way
There's nothing over here
I never showed you
I made it pretty clear
I'm glad to know you
You know your brother Spike
He's on the level
But you always lookin'
Like you're mad at the devil
Don't say I cop a 'tude
It's all forgotten
It's just you're much too rude
Your fruits are rotten
You know I work so hard to keep it alive
Now all I hear from you
Is nothing but jive
Lately it's been so hard
Now to make ends meet
And honey, your headin' down a
One Way Street
And I'm goin' on the other way
Yes I do!
And lately it's been so hard
To make ends meet
And honey, your headin' down a
One Way Street
And I really been feelin'
Like I could be movin' on
Your headin' down a one way street
You're foolin' everybody you meet
I said, your headin' down a one way street
You're foolin' everybody but me
I said, your headin' down a one way street
You're foolin' everybody you meet
I said, your headin' down a one way street
You're foolin' everybody but me...
You got to get yourself back on your feet

Most likely my favorite Aerosmith song, one of the jes of the first album along with Make It and Dream On. I never thought that they would do this song live, but they did, absolutely flawlessly too, and having the vibe of the one from the record, it does make you stamp your feet, after all these years, doesn't it?

My favorite Aerosmith song. First album version. This and Make It.
Probably my favoite Aerosmith song. Played the heck out of it in vinyl and 8 track back in the 70s during my college years

It's right up there as one of my favorite but Damn they have so many
This album will be buried with me
Love these ancient old bluesy Aerosmith songs.
Joey Kramer really makes Aerosmith
Definitely an oldie, but goodie when Aerosmith was tight… This was a great performance by all of them, but I appreciate it out of this video is what a beast Joey Kramer is on the drums!
Absolutely one of the best Aerosmith songs! Their first 3 albums were perfect, and Rocks wasn't bad either. But the first 3 are classics... all the songs kick ass and no repeated ideas. Probably the best first 3 albums by any band ever!
He looks better the older he gets. Still hits those notes.
The longest living all original band in rock and roll. Bar none.
From the beginning...,... doesn't get much better
The first time I saw Aerosmith was in Detroit at Cobo Hall 1977 I have seen these guys 17 times through the years I think I'm going to go see them one more time

13 for me. Best show ever Aerosmith/REO Speedwagon at Cobo. Used to camp out to get tickets in the morning. Campout meaning sitting next to the building with a couple hundred people. I'm so old, I saw Aerosmith in 73. Thanks to my buddy's older sister.
THAT is how rock is done!
Aerosmith is the best band in the United States bar none been a fan since 1974 rock on smith😊

Guns came close
This is what made Aerosmith….in my opinion….the fucking groove and on the edge soloing with so much honey sauce dripping there was a puddle in the studio. They have the blues rock mojo and this shows it

1973------👉🏻 1979 Best Albums!
Love the fact the Brad and Joe play the solo note for note , same as the original song!
Great underrated song and so is my favorite "movin out" they both should have been released along with so many more early songs.

Moving out is awesome and to think it was Joe and Steven first song they wrote together. WOW
Remember rock n roll can never be played too loud.
Turn it up boys and girls.

They sound much better today than early in their career live......I saw them in Detroit around 1980, they sounded like shit!
Never saw them do this one off their first album live. Just excellent.

If you like this listen to Movin' Out, Make it, and Somebody from their first album. The energy level of the songs is nuclear.

They broke this out at the Nine Lives show I went to in Greensboro. Blew me away!
0:15 best rock band ever
Their first album is the best, simply the best - they're all good, but the first is raw Aerosmith - this song rips ass bigtime.

Great tune. I can't play it loud enough
Pure Blues. Proves Aerosmith has Plenty Style. Real Rock N Roll. So seems so fresh like it was A Week old.
Greatest Rock and Roll song of all time !!
This is one of the tunes I chose to add to our set list. It's among their best work. Excellent in every way! 🎸 🥁 🎶

Bad ass!
So so sad that Aerosmith are calling "peace out" it makes me cry. Where the fuck have 50 years gone??? Have seen them numerous times 😢
sweet
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
In Steven Tyler's own words (from his 2012 memoir), "'One Way Street' was written . . . with the rhythm and harp (harmonica) coming from (Rolling Stones’) ‘Midnight Rambler'" Direct comparison: kzread.info/dash/bejne/pqiN1NuxZ8uyn8o.html
He really has such a bluesy tone with the harmonica. His voice sounds very good on this track . Ofcourse Joe Perry always brings it.
Devia ter baixado esse clipe em alta qualidade anos atrás. =/
I have a bootleg version of this song from 74
